"I think we both know Fontaine made him disappear. Was wondering how long it would take you to call me. After all, I sent you that bogus message from him so we could go on that mission together. Needed to size you up."

Graft
HP: 1

Okay, scratch the last post. Instead, Stealth (1d20+14=34).

As he was about to engage the ninjas loading the trucks, Graft thought better of it. He hadn't seen any sign of Steel Samurai but the mercenary would undoubtedly be onsite overseeing his operation. The trap door Jason had found would be a likely place to find him.

Slipping out of hiding on the other side of the truck, Graft moved through the shadows to a catch up with the high school student turned martial artist. I guess I need more practice working as a part of a team.

Wraith
HP:1 Cnd: Intrigued

"I guess I measured up..." Stephyn leaves the comment hang for a moment before continueing, "Fontaine and I have butted heads for quite some time now. I get that he is evil...I always have. The prejudice little ponce." Turning to look at Blaze, Stephyn stops for a moment and looks at her. Something about her almost mesmerizes him... more than her appearance, not that she wasn't beautiful, in a feral sort of way. No, it more her bearing, her openess to listen to Stephyn more than anything that attracted him. Behind those bright haunty eyes, Stephyn could feel her need to understand. Breaking eye contact, Stephyn continues, "Blaze...why now? Why did he choose now to take your Uncle out? Do you have any clues?"

"Fontaine isn't evil - not like you or I know it. He's... well, he's a politician. Something is stirring in the mystical community. Eldrich has withdrawn himself from most of his normal affairs. He sent you teammate off with the Wayewright dude to deal with something he would normally have done himself. There is a lot of speculation that its near the end for our Master Mage. Fontaine wants to be the clear favorite in line for successor."

Wraith
HP:1 Cnd: Pondering

"There are as many forms of evil a there are forms of life Blaze. What Fontaine's doing is just as evil...removing your Uncle cannot be anything but evil. If nothing more for the evil he is not able to stop while he is gone. No...Fontaine is evil."

"Something stirring? You could certainly say that...I have fought more gods and god-like beings in the past few weeks than I thought ever existed. And Eldritch is indisposed...or worse." Wraith stops. Things are worse than he ever conceived. So much so that he didn't want to give voice to Blaze's other statement...Fontaine as Master Mage. There was no way that Stephyn would allow that to happen...Fontaine was a biggoted little man with delusions of grandeur. As Master Mage, he would herald in a new dark age...no one would be safe.

"We have to find out what is going on...I know that sounds redundant, but it is true. I know my magic...my abilities are probably not as versatile as Fontaines, but they are effective in their own way. Blaze, what do you know of the other Hunters? Where do they stand on this? Are you the only one noticing the current situation?"

"I'm not saying he's not a d*** or that I wouldn't run him through given the opportunity. I'm just saying he's no Malador."

"No, all the Hunters see it, Magi too. They are all playing a wait and see game. They don't want to back a losing horse. And sweetie, in this race, you aren't even running. That's why I am here."

Wraith
HP:1 Cnd: Shocked

Stephyn bolts upright and literally begins to pace about,"Me?...what do you mean I am not in the running," Stephyn asks even though he knows what she meant. "I...I am not...there is No Way I am a Master Mage. Blaze...I can barely find my own a** with a locator spell! Hell...I have a freaking demon LIVING inside me! There is NO way I am anyway near capable of being a Master Mage. I mean...there has got to be someone else...ERIC. Eric would be a fantastic Master Mage. HE has all the righ abilities...he isn't..."and there Stephyn stopped. He had been about to say tainted. But he wasn't so sure about that anymore. Ever since their return from the Mirror Universe, Eric had been a very different man...and not just physically.

Wearily, Stephyn looks at Blaze, "Blaze...what do the Hunter's...the Magi...want me to do? What do you want me to do? That is why your here...right? To kick me in my a** and tell me to get moving. Blaze...what does the Council need?"Though often fearless in battles against dieties much stronger than him, this prospect actually has fear showing on the young magi's face.

"The others don't want you to do anything. As far as they are concerned, you aren't on the playing field. A non-issue."

<BEAT>

"Which makes you the perfect wildcard."

"Cool. Thanks. I apreciate that."

Vincent replied. At some point his palm top hand appeared in his hands and he began thumb typing, the poking at the screen and dragging things around with his index finger. What all this amounted to was attaching maps and GPS coordinates to an email to Bedros Terrabull and Wraith. Maps and coordinates of the areas around the other three Freedom League sponsored teams. The only text he added was 'Is there anything magic-y about these places?'. It didn't take took long and Vincent didn't take his eyes off of Raven for more than a few seconds.

"Say Rav, is that combat simulator booked the rest of this afternoon?"

Terrabull
HP: 2
Condition: Relatives, go figure

You spot her sitting in front of a mirror having her hair done. As you walk up, you are surprised by her response.

"Hello, Bedros. Anna, give us a minute, please." The hairdresser puts her things down and goes away.

Aphrodite turns to you and says point blank, "I'm not going back."

He was a little suprised though not completely. He had suspected she wasnt among the dead on Olympus when he hadnt smelled her scent which was a pretty exotic one and one you didnt mistake. That meant Father had made another mistake. He had under estimated her and her powers. One would always be wise to keep in mind the power of love, and the woman sitting in front of him was the very epitome of it in all its forms, lust, passion, love in its purest form.

"You say that like that is the only choice in the matter Aunty." he responded evenly

"Dont misunderstand me..." he said cooly at the look on her face "You've been his lover, and you damned well know what hes capable of, especially with your daughter whispering her posion in his ears." he finished with the low earthen rumble.

"Eris wants nothing more then war and strife for its own sake, and with nothing and no one to balance out Ares you Know! That he will do exacty that."

"You think you can just hide here on earth while he wages a war of the gods on these people?" he gestured to the people working all around them at the shoot. "What will be left to love when hes done huh? What love will there be in the world?"

"No Aunty the way I see it you have 2 choices..." he paused a moment to let what he was saying sink in he also knew he was taking a risk saying what he was saying and about to say, But his Mom always said say what you mean and mean what you say or else all that comes out is Bullcrap.

"You can stay here and be a petulant child while the world is drowned in war and bloodshed and stryfe and hatred, Where the only thing left to love will be the ashes of the world, where mankind and the love they still have for you and what you repsent is burned to the ground or lost to the love of war.O

"Or you can come with me, we can find your daughter and the two of you can go to Olympus where you can balance Ares, and her sister."

"War and Stryfe balanced by Love and Peace. You know I am right and you know what you need to do Aunty."

Finally he finished. He never raised his voice througout the entire statement not once. His voice remained low and even. He remembered what Seven had told him once. That sometimes the loudest words are the ones said in the quietest voice because they are the ones people strain to hear.

He stood there and let her think about it because he knew what the decision would mean for her.

Victoria
HP 1

Victoria sits down in the library reading a few books on computers and self help books on public speaking. Taking several notes on tips they suggests on speaking in public. Checks the thoughts sent back from Singularity about what she asked him to look into and design for her.

"I want to share the mold."

Vincent gestured towards Raven, as if trying to share something intangible with the Freedom Leaguer. He then dropped his hands and smiled.

"Nah. Since you're free, and the sim is free, we could fool around.I was thinking about running some scenarios with these Psi guys. We can even get V in on it if she has rested enough."

Singularity

"I think Victoria has had enough simulations for a while, and I have things to be doing. Feel free, however, to use it. I believe Mike said you were all going back a little later."

I am pretty sure you are still on the day of Victoria's test, unless I missed something. That means Victoria is sleeping right now.

Terrabull

"You insufferable infant! You speak to me as if you know what is going on, as if this hadn't happened hundreds of times. There is always some ursurper, there is always some God scheming to rule over the others, there is always someone seeking to destroy this world."

"I almost admire your naivety. How wonderful it would be to look upon the world with such fresh eyes, not knowing that as soon as this crisis is averted another one will have already begun. Its endless."

"And I am tired of it. So go, preach your idealistic views to someone who hasn't seen it far to many times before."
