Age of Heroes - Chapter 2: Gods & Monsters (OOC)
Concept:
This will be an anthology superhero game!
Each chapter of this story will focus on a different time and region in history. It will trace the origins of superheroes from antiquity through the modern day. There will be an overarching story that will link each chapter together and culminate in the final adventure scenario for this game. The chapters will be largely unrelated to each other, resembling a series of one-shot adventures that are linked under one thematic umbrella. PCs are not expected to carry over from one adventure to the next, but I will not rule it out if the concept is appropriate and I find it interesting. Players, of course, are encouraged to keep playing from chapter to chapter if they wish. If anyone has played Assassin's Creed, the game will roughly be structured in the same manner.
Here is a link to the original interest thread that may shed some more light on the concept.
Chapter 1: Fire in the Sky
Chapter 1 Team:
Ahti (Lord Fell) - handmaiden shadowmancer [D]
Hound (Hound) - immortal hunter [D]
Jabari (Gazman) - enhanced soldier [A]
Kifi (Coyotzin) - water form healing shaman's apprentice [W]
Panya (knitcat) - dancer/assassin [A]
Chapter 2 Recruitment Guidelines
Chapter 2 Game Start
Chapter 2 Roster:
Dion (jemal) - Dionysus/Hermaphroditus-like party god
Heocles (EnigmaticOne) - Heracles-like strong man
Pallanthia of Attica (Coyotzin) - Amazon-like warrior
Amyntas/ Korinna (Mr.Sandman) - Artemis-like huntress
Aewes of Crete (Storm Vermin) - Zeus-analogue, weather abilities

Yeah, I meant to have this up a week ago but coming back from vacation was harder to do than I thought.

As long as he has a cowardly side-kick named Benny.

Exactly.

Re: Age of Heroes (Recruiting)
How much of a difference are you allowing between defense and toughness numbers?

Initially it was, but comments in the interest thread persuaded me to give 3E a try. If it doesn't work out, I can always switch back to 2E for the subsequent chapters.
I'm sorry if this will preclude anyone from playing the game.
Also, I would like submissions to be creative in the interpretation of the four core power concepts. I'm not looking for any direct Egyptian god analogues as this story will pre-date that in a fashion.

As this is PL8, I would say no more than a 3 point trade off. I don't think it will be necessary to hit caps on every type of save, but it's fine if you do.

Ah. Oh well, then hopefully it will change to 2E for a different chapter. Maybe you could alternate, from edition to edition?
Have fun guys-dang it looks so cool too!

Re: Age of Heroes (Recruiting)
Could you explain the core power concepts? I'm completely unfamiliar I'm afraid.
I'm interested in playing a female courtier within the palace walls. Not a concubine, more of an entertainer/dancer for the royal court. I doubt many would go that route in a game like this, so I think it'd be a unique concept.

Re: Age of Heroes (Recruiting)
Got an idea for the "Eternity" power source -- a young palace servant who develops the ability to manipulate the flow of time, on a personal level. At first all he notices is that he's finishing his assigned duties quicker than he used to -- eventually it develops to a point where it functions like superspeed/teleportation.
