Downfalls:Obscure view of Justice: Though Clay is branded as a terrorist and/or crazed maniac, he still kills only people whom broken the law. However, his view on "breaking the law" is wildly out of scope of most. His sense of Justice could be anything from bombing the suspects home, to destroying a whole building (with people inside) that person was in. Said person could've done anything from murder to jay walking.
Charges: Though able to expel mass amounts of kinetic energy, it is still not enough to fully charge his suit. Thus, his suit can hold a max of 7 charges, with each power expelling one charge. However, punching (with kinetic power) or leaping gives 1 charge, while leaping more than 1,000 feet will fully recharge the suit. This is one flaw
Clay cannot bypass.
Hypocrite: Clay is a assassin for hire when not in prison. As long as the person whom pays him proves that said person is breaking the law in some way. He knows that what he (and many others) are doing is breaking the law, but he feels it is for a "greater good" thus acceptable. Some would disagree(mostly everyone).
Background Information:Mad Man or Lost Man?by Clark Kent
Clay Donald Moore, a notorious mad man whom rampages has cost the city of Metropolis millions in damages. But what is known about this terrorist. Many people believe that he has always been a criminal. That the only reason he now calls himself a vigilante is to keep the cops off of him.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. After digging deep into this man's criminal record and hours of talking with police, I have discovered that Clay Francis Moore died 5 years ago. Murdered in a warehouse down by the docks. Now, many of you are wondering how this could be. Well fellow readers, that is why I am here.
It seems OUR Clay Moore is actually a man named Henry Douglas Cooper. Now, for most of you that wouldn't ring a bell and why would it. Well folks, you are in luck because I started digging into this name and came up with the following.
As far back as I can find, Henry was a science nut. It seemed to start with the birth of his powers. You see, Henry had this unique ability to expel a quite a bit of Kinetic Energy. For those of you whom are not Science Majors, Kinetic Energy is Energy that a body possesses by virtue of being in motion. Simply meaning that his simple movements shot out waves of this energy. After receiving this powers, Henry literally had to learn how to walk again.
With this unique ability, Henry was banned from most sports and even some events in normal gym class. Now like all men and women with unique ability, Henry was picked on. Bullies would pick on him and Henry seemed to shy away from conflict, for he knew that a simple punch would be lethal to most people.
Instead of having this as a crutch, Henry instead used it as fuel to burn in his love of science. As it turns out, Henry learned to control his powers not through trail and error, but through science and experiments based on complex mathematics. He then used this knowledge to fuel his way through school. Despite the bullying and the outcast, Henry seemed to achieve what many only dream of, a full ride.
It was at college when things started to turn against him. His parents died suddenly in what the papers at that time called a accidental car crash. Henry survived while his father, mother, and 2 sisters did not. Due to his powers, many blamed him and that is when the years of bullying and teasing set in. It seemed that for months Henry buried himself in school work to try and ignore the pain.
It seemed many professors had lost hope in Henry. His depression started to affect his work and schooling, causing a once straight A student to become a C average. He started to stop coming into class all together and was on the verge of being kicked out.
It wasn't until Anne Packway came into his life that things turned around. Henry had met her in the waiting room of the psychologists office. It seemed they hit it off wonderfully. Many remember them constantly going over their homework and studying frequently in the library.
Right after college, Henry married Anne and got a job and Metropolis PD in the R&D department. It seemed his unique work in Kinetic Energy got a lot of attention for law enforcement in the less than lethal force area. Quickly, Henry started to make prototypes for them, hoping to keep his perfect job.
According to police report, it was 5 years after they were married that things again turned. This time, they wouldn't improve. It started with Metropolis PD giving him his dreaded pink slip due to budget cuts. After loosing the house, Henry and Anne sold most of their belongings and moved to a low rent 1 bedroom apartment. It was in a bad part of town, but at the time it was all they could afford.
When Henry came home from job searching, he found his apartment broken into and his wife lay dead on his bed. Police reports stated in detail of what happened, but I will not repeat those in this report. I will say that what happened would drive anyone mad. But most men return from madness. Henry unfortunately wasn't one of those men.
Many of the officers involved with Henry's wife death feel that Anne was the last Tether that held Henry onto sanity. Once that tether was snapped, Henry lost it. It was reported weeks later that the Metropolis Police R&D department was broken into and the Kinetic Exo-suit was stolen. Days later, what was left of the criminal whom busted into Henry's apartment lay all over an abandoned warehouse.
That criminal's name was Clay Donald Moore. He made the papers of course but nothing front page wise. It seemed that Henry wished to not only destroy the man, but his name as well. It appears he had taken the name of his wife's killer. It took police merely hours to piece all this together but didn't wish to share it with the public until they knew for sure.
That was 5 years ago and it is now officially public. I talked with Superman early whom had a run in with Clay Moore. He said,
"The man has the ability of Plastique with the madness of the Joker." He also stated that a man this insane normally shows up in Gotham.
After his run in with Superman, he now is currently behind bars, but not after leveling 3 buildings going after what he claimed was a,
"Law Breaking citizen, set on piling Metropolis in heeps of trash to downturn the land value and buy it back up for his own evil needs." The pizza delivery boy whom was the target of the attack is still in critical condition.
So I leave it up to you people. Is Clay a true Mad-man or a man whom has truly lost everything?
