Okay, the Invasion IC thread will go up next Friday.

If Moebius is joining we need an updated PL 12 character sheet and updated background.

And if Spinner is joining, he'll need to be updated to PL 12 as well.

As weird as it may seem this is actually one of the reasons I'm not having him join: his concept was always more fun low-powered.

If you want to keep him at a lower PL, feel free. heck, anyone that wants to keep a character at a lower PL should feel free. I'll do everythign I can to find ways for them to participate.

Complications
Live with Honor: Moebius has adopted a variation of the Wuxia Code of Honor, which demands he right any wrongs he sees, correct social injustices, keep oaths of loyalty and honor good people. Essentially, in addition to being a nice guy, Moebius has Chronic Hero Syndrome. If he sees someone in trouble, or even someone being inconvenienced, he feels compelled to help.

The Open Hand Over the Closed Fist: In addition to the Wuxia Code of Honor, Moebius feels compelled to offer his opponents a chance to surrender every single time, unless doing so would somehow bring someone to harm. This often costs him the element of surprise, but he deems it an acceptable sacrifice.

Undefeated of the East: As someone who has gained some notoriety as a student of Shambala, Moebius has been challenged by and trained with several prominent martial arts masters in the world. Most of these are friendly rivalries (such as Nightwind), or one sided hostile ones (Green Dragon), or just young martial artists trying to make a name by challenging someone from a legendary temple. Generally speaking, Moebius just looks at it as a learning experience. However, several villainous martial artists want him dead, such as the Kung Fu Killer from the M&M 2nd ed. book, or Jade Phoenix.

Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting: Moebius has faced a wide range of supervillains and threats, but he most often finds himself facing opponents with a martial arts bent. He regularly opposes Dr. Wu, the Dragon Mandarin, though the pair have a very cordial, borderline friendly, relationship, viewing it more like a polite game of chess. The views of Dr. Wu’s sons on Moebius vary greatly tho. He also regularly takes on the Cult of the Red Banner, taking on their mystic martial artists and thwarting their attempts at awakening the Demon Dragon.

Enter the Foxbat: One non-martial arts centric villain that has taken an interest in Moebius is Foxbat. Foxbat seems to think that, on any given day, that Moebius will make an excellent arch rival, a partner to have martial arts buddy cop style adventures with, or a master he must please in order to learn some super secret kung fu tricks from. Generally it involves Foxbat’s typical shinanigans, but oddly enough, Moebius doesn’t seem to mind. He almost views Foxbat as some kind of trickster spirit given human form, and is far more patient with the supervillain than most people. It’s not uncommon to see Moebius and Foxbat grab some lunch after some harmless misadventure. The two are on their way to having a Cable/Deadpool style friendship.

Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother: Moebius still has issues regarding his parents. He feels that he let his mother down by not finding his father, and leaving her to die alone on a foolish quest. He feels resentment towards his father for leaving them, yet is grateful for his dad for leading him to Shambala where he gained the knowledge he has. As such, issues similar to this tend to hit him hard, stories of parental abandonment, lost loved ones and the like. And if either of his parents should ever show up again, whooooboy.

Alright, the PL 12 version of Moebius is up, along with Theme Song. I'll get around to posting his updated backstory a little later, and I might pick a different theme if I find something better, but there's something about the MANTIS theme that just works, at least in the short term. :mrgreen:

in keeping with yeo's houserule from chicago avengers, i went back and recapped frank at +3 TOU/-3 DEF (so +15 TOU, 9 DEF)

justification for the change was that Frank had undergone the equivalent of a 300-style exercise regime for his rematch with Smashface, but since then has switched to a more rounded regime (besides, he still has withstand damage if i need unkillability)

Yeah, Withstand Damage (especially paired with Ultimate Toughness), is very powerful.

And Yeo's prologue post makes me wonder how the Jurian empire exists in the space political realm of the Crinoverse, I don't think they've ever been given much of a write-up.

I mentioned them before. Basically the Jurians are a satellite nation of the Lor Republic. Affiliated with them, but not exactly full members. Kind of like the Galalunans from Symbionic Titan.
