Alright, time to get it started.

The Avengers, The Worlds Mightiest heroes. They've toppled terrorist organizations, defeated ancient conspiracies, they've wiped out cosmic entities, and saved the world more times than I can count.

And now they are training the next generation of heroes.

Nestled in scenic Forton Texas, staffed by the greatest heroes of a generation, complete with an extradimensional Mansion network which can transport anywhere on Earth, Avengers Academy is now accepting registrations for YOUR meta powered student. They will receive top notch education, powers, training, lessons in Ethics and super hero morality, and gain the tools to make them the next generation of super heroes.

But of course its not all wine and roses: When you're as successful as the Avengers you earn some powerful enemies: Foes new and old are coming out of the woodwork, looking to settle the score with the Avengers and using their students to do it. And as the war in space continues to rage, all sorts of nasty things come a calling to Earth looking to prove themselves or just cause trouble.

So, will your student be able to make the grade?

*Okay, this game was filled up as soon as I announced my intention to make this game. So now its just waiting for everyone to post their characters. Here are the ground rules:

*PL 8, 120 points. All concepts and powers are approved, so feel free to go nuts.
*Third edition
*In addition to character, I would like everyone to also post a picture of their character and an image song. If you can't find a picture that matches what your character looks like I'll see if I can find one for them. Image song can be any song you think fits your character. I know a lot of you already have some picked out.
* House rule: The combination of All out attack and power attack may only be used once per fight. This is being instated because of rampant abuse of this combo during Avengers and in other games.
*The game will have a set up similar to the one used in Darkness in heavens: There will be a bulletin board which contains different events going on and jobs that need doing, in addition, there will also be other plot threads which will be presented to you either by eavesdropping on other students or something big happening (Like bad guys invading the school.) Although there will be a meta plot to this season (Two actually) I want to try and create a real slice of life style game which illustrates what its like to be a super person in the crinoverse.

Okay, game will start Monday or whenever everyone who is playing submits their character, whichever comes second.

Farm Visit: visiting a farm in Kansas, get to see how a farm work, plus check out some cute animals. Totally no chance of an alien robot or something landing to try and kill everyone.

Trip to Paris: Susan is feeling blue after her teams recent loss, so she's going to spend the day in Paris. For some strange reason, everyone in Paris absolutely adores Susan. But why?

Avengers Island tour: Come see Avengers Island, home to Earth's mightiest heroes. Meet their new Government Liason, and maybe get in a fight with someone.

Prison transport for Matt Helms: Gold Team managed to subdue a powerful and deadly assassin, name of Matt Helms. Now they need to put him away. A team is needed to escort him to the Cube, Nevada's own super prison.

Extra credit hologram training: The training room software has been unusually glitchy lately, and Technus needs some help debugging it, basically he needs someone to test it out while he works to isolate the problem. Extra credit ahoy!

Complications
Motivation - Responsibility: With Logar and incredible speedster powers, Gavin is trying to adapt to his new friend and abilities all of a sudden.
Public Identity: Given the scientific study and observation of Logar, it did not take long for Gavin's identity to be connected as the new, permanent host of Logar - plus saving the farmer's market.
Relationship: Gavin certainly still cares for his family, and anyone choosing to threaten them would trigger his wrath.
Shared Head Space: Gavin has to deal with the clearly intelligent now, but nonetheless erratic presence of Logar and the shadows of the minds that make up Logar itself as part of their symbiotic fusion.
Quirk - Light Sheath: As with all previous individuals hosting Logar, the use of Logar's speed powers cause a glowing light sheath to appear around the user's form. Though now shut off when Gavin isn't using his powers, it does mean stealth or disguise is an on the job problem.

Gavin Kyle was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or as Logar feels it, the right place at the right time. It's a point of disagreement between the two. Nevertheless, he was around in town visiting a farmer's market when strangely enough, PHANTOM soldiers appeared to swarm the location and hold everyone hostage.

This was when the golden streak of Logar's energy appeared, and intersected with Gavin's form - throwing him into a blank confusion for a moment, and then Logar whispered in his head: "I like you. I'm gonna stay." And in moments, Gavin found his extreme super-speed made beating down the terrorists very easy.

In the aftermath, Gavin realized he had significant powers, and more to the point, Logar hanging around in his head, the two beings fused... and they needed help with putting them to responsible use and properly get used to controlling them. His parents ended up contacting the closest super-school: Avengers Academy.

Why Super Logar as a hero name? Logar became a Mario Fanboy.

Complications
Hunted/Prejudice: Kaito is a werewolf, and as a result a lot of monster hunters want to kill him for that reason alone. Near the top of the list is Aegis Kai Doru, whom his father was a member of.
Relationship: Kaito's parents are living his Forton. His father is a former member of Aegis Kai Doru, an ancient order on monster hunters. Kaito also has strong feelings for Susan Brown, who is currently in a relationship with La'gaan.
Rivalry: After being hazed for weeks by two fellow werewolf students, Kaito has finally turned the tables and hit them with a truckload of pranks, the last of which left them being mocked by their fellow students with new nicknames "Glow Worm" and "Pinky." They are not amused. La'gaan is the hero who defetaed Kaito and got him arrested in the first place and is in a relationship with Susan Brown, whom Kaito has feelings for.
Trickster: As a trickster, Yamainu may find himself in the middle of a practical joke without remembering how he got there.
Weakness: Yamainu is a werewolf and has a weakness to silver

Background
Kaito was born in Japan, his father a very prominent business man. His mom revealed to his Dad that Kaito was not his, but she had a one night stand with an American. Kaito's father decided to cover up the affair so he didn't lose face. However, when Kaito was twelve, he transformed into a werewolf on the full moon. This enraged his "father" so much that he kicked Kaito out of the house.

Kaito lived on the streets for two years, until he stole a car of a professional baseball player. Yamacha chased Kaito down to get his car back. When he caught him, the young thief went werewolf on him and Yamcha was forced to subdue him. Yamcha decided he could improve his reputation by teaching this kid and turning him away from the path of evil.

After six months of training, Kaito decided there was nothing else Yamcha could teach him, so he stole his car and several thousand yen, then bought a plane ticket to America. Upon arriving, he decided he would make a name for himself by beating up some supers. After getting pwned by the third hero - a student at Hope Prep no less, he was arrested and taken to jail. After hearing his story, the judge decided to have him enrolled in AA.

Um, EO, I don't mind you playing Logar's host, but Speed 17 is a bit much, could you drop it down a bit please?

Yuki Teuchi has always loved Super-heroes. Before she'd even started school she'd joined the Tokyo Defense League's official fanclub, and even as a young child she'd attended the very first Meta-Con, Japan's metahuman convention.

By the time she was in junior high she was already starting to gain a reputation as more than a bit of a cape-chaser. Her parents even started becoming concerned she could become an origin-seeker and start trying to become a super-hero herself. Which was ridiculous. Yuki knew that real super-hero's had to come across origins. Origin seeker heroes were mostly wannabes and B-listers.

In High School Yuki started her own fan Club for the Great Lakes Avengers, and even got to see them in person at Meta-Con. Well, briefly. Before the entire convention was dragged to Hel.

Yuki's life changed, for what she sees as the better, in the Invasion she was hurt badly, and receive a blood transfusion from a shapeshifting hero. After she recovered she found she could assume the form of any animal she knew of.

Hearing about the Academy, Yuki signed herself up as soon as possible.

Complications:

Fangirl: Yuki has a tendency to gush over super-heroes, spouting off everything she knows about them. This even extends to some super-villians.

Motivation: Thrill Seeker: For all that she understands that heroes do heroic things, and that they do often die in the line of duty, Yuki still has the misconception that it is, inherently, fun. As such, she tends to treat combat and heroics like a game.

Equipment: The Strike and Protection are equipment based and can be taken away from her in human form. (She's overconfident, not stupid. Besides, eventually every super-hero gets their powers taken away.

I do kind of have a problem with Speed 17, but not as much as I have a problem with having no ranks in any kind of attack except one attack which has Accurate Five.

Strikes me as a little too min-maxy.

Yeah I know that. I'm just worried it may be a wee bit game breaking, but I suppose its less game breaking than some other characters I've approved.

Well with high speed and move-by action, he could literally start a round in another state, move in and attack and then move back to the starting position. High speed and move-by action is a form of bathroom psychic.

To be fair, I took the same thing. Though in Yuki's case it's only meant to be used one the rare occasions she doesn't have any super powers so that she not a completely worthless lump.

And even only has that because of one of my favorite new X-Men conversations.

Yeah, I pulled that in City of Heroes against a boss with no ranged attacks before they nerfed Super Speed.

Well, I guess its up to Crinos.

Anyway, I'm updating Whisper to PL 8, and I kind of want to use a picture of Havoc's old costume. Its not a great look, but I like the white circles to represent soundwaves. I would be open to something else, if anyone has any better ideas.

I do have a song though, Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, No. 2. In addition to being a good song with a kind of soft passion that fits Max, I like this version because its off. Given Max's voice problems and how he hears things differently than normal people, due to his powers, I really like it for him.

Yeah, I think that settles it, Please revise Super Logar. You can explain the reduced speed that Logar had to burn off some excess energy in order to permanently bond with you or something, but Speed 17 is too much for a PL 8 PC. Sorry.

Same Name, Different Person: Foxfire isn't the only hero or villain to take that name. He really doesn't know the others that share his name as he was a homeless drifter for the better part of three years.

Ugly: Foxfire is ugly. His skin has patches of mold growing on it, his is missing small amounts of bone and flesh, and he smells like mildew all the time. He wears heavy clothing and a burlap sack mask to hide his features and try to mitigate his smell.He will not remove his clothing or burlap sack mask with anybody present and will resist quite violently anyone who tries to do so.

Every Injury hurts more: Though Foxfire has regeneration. That regeneration is a quick stopgap by Shan to prevent Jared from dying. The more Jared is injured, the longer it will take for him and Shan to completely merge and for Jared to become basically human again. Basically, the more Jared gets injured the uglier and more putrid smelling he becomes.

One Body, Two minds: Jared and Shan are two different personalities and memories. Jared is more heroic while Shan is more pragmatic. They can argue sometimes and it sometimes seems to other people that Jared spaces out.

Jared Lee Sewell is united with an alien fungal colony which calls itself Shan. Jared came upon Shan when he lost his arm up to his elbow due to a alligator attack. Miles away from help, Jared was sure that he was going to bleed out trying to get back home. Delusional from blood loss and shock, Jared collapsed by a rotted out log filled with foxfire as night fell. He closed his eyes for what he was sure was the last time when a bright light flashed across him coming from the foxfire. He heard a voice in his head that said it could save him if he would accept it and show it the world. Thinking this was nothing more then his mind finally going from loss of blood he accepted. The foxfire then exploded showering Jared with spores. Jared doesn't remember anything else as he passed out from shock.

Waking back up at dawn, Jared saw that he was still alive but changed. The voice, which now was in his head explained that while it was able to rebuild his arm, the process was not as smooth as hoped and the union of their biologies was "suboptimal". Instead of being normal, Jared now looked like a rotten corpse with small bits of bone and tissue missing. The voice told him that it had to take mass from somewhere to rebuild his arm. Staggering back into his small Louisiana town, Jared was met with cries of horror at his new appearance. He was soon run out of town since the townsfolk believed that he was a joker or taken over by a demon. They really never made their reasons clear.

Wandering through the south for almost three years, Jared picked up his layers of heavy clothing and burlap sack mask. He mostly drifted from town to town not saying long. He was just another one of the homeless. His smell was attributed to bad hygiene and his refusal to take off his mask was chalked up to mental illness. He was handed over to Avengers Academy after he was arrested by the Austin PD when he put two UT students in the hospital with severe fungal poisoning after they tried to beat him up for fun. The police found about his condition when they took off his mask to take a mugshot. The charges were dismissed after video evidence showed that Jared acted in self defense. The police though couldn't just someone with Jared's deadly abilities just walk out on the street though. They handed him over to Avengers Academy as a charity case since no one in his immediate family responded back to him. In fact, Jared was never reported missing or as a runaway.
