Printing DCA - Problems?

Postby Jameson » Fri Aug 27, 2010 8:43 am

So I bought the PDF but am unwilling to buy the hardcover because I'm stingy and I'd rather have the M&M3E book instead ... but, I need to have something to reference for a game I plan to run. I tried printing the needed bits from the PDF as double sided pages (to save paper, cause I'm stingy), but some of the pages come out upside down for reasons I haven't been able to diagnose. I was wondering if anybody else had encountered this? If so did you figure out how to fix it?

I only have experience duplexing (printing both sides with one print command) on the desktop with HP printers, but were i using one of those, and had the problem you are having, i would look to change the binding setting from top to side (or vice versa).

If you are manually duplexing, you're probably just putting the printed sheet in the wrong way.

Duplexing, and it only happens with some of the pages (like I tried printing 6 pages and 2 of the 4 were upside down).

That sounds like a driver problem. I would check the support site for the printer for an updated driver.

I just Copied and Pasted the text to Word and printed out what i needed. It does take some fixing when you paste it, but i was able to get my charts for the game. I did this because i am stingy too :) saves ink

I tried it at work (high end laser printers FTW) and still had the problem. Luckily I have a full version of Adobe at work as well and was able to create a workaround by rotating the odd pages 180º so that they would print properly.
