Hey Clive2012!

Just to add, your voice has been heard, and I'll see if I can work in a short question like this into the next recording session (hopefully this afternoon/evening). Jack Norris and Jason Tondro will be on the show, and those are two great guys for coming up with strange powers and modeling them with the M&M system. :)

Topic covered, Clive, though I apologize I didn't get a chance to call out your handle personally. We expanded the topic a bit to cover a couple of different game systems, but we start with Mutants and Masterminds in detail. :)

Podcast is up! Sorry it took so long to post the link, I had other business come up at about the same time... but here it is!

(it's a big one, so set aside 2 hours or so!)

Topics covered: How to make powers in Mutants and Masterminds (with special mentions for Extra Effort and Instant Counters), Icons, and Marvel Heroic Roleplaying. More details on Marvel from Jack, upcoming projects from Vigilance Press for M&M (some teasing about stuff we're doing next year, and some more overt announcements and details).

Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable conversation. I hope everyone listening finds something useful! As always, comments and questions are welcome.

There really is no specific question I need answered. You guys seem to have a knack for answering all my issues without me asking anyway. Hell even questions I did not know I had get addressed, still wreaking my brain figuring that one out.

That being said i really get a lot of help and inspiration from the Actual Plays ( Never get enough LoL ) and from whole Podcasts that are dedicated to one aspect of the game. Like Campaigns or Powers and the like. It is helpful to hear everyone just riff about the topic and trade ideas. Frankly it is what I do with my friends when a spark of an idea begins to form in my head and I seem to get the same brainstorming voodoo from the show. LoL

So I guess long story short....keep up the good work.

Actually, now that my sleep deprived mind ponders it, I do have a topic I would like to hear about. I have had issues in the past with the dreaded first adventure game, when the players first meet up. So besides handling it all as back story, how would you go about it in game? Is it better to handle it as a past event or should it be the first few games of the new group ? I would like to hear about first adventure together games anyone on the show had that was memorable or a disaster. What they felt went wrong or how they felt it went right.

Dang, one more thing popped into my head. It would be cool to hear how team games are done. Not just a group of individuals who fight crime together, but an actual team. Should the players take into account each others strengths and weaknesses and build accordingly or just make what they want and mesh later with Exp?

If you're watching this space, and you have any questions you'd like to ask Jeff Dee (RPG artist since the 70's, and co-creator of Villains and Vigilantes), now is the time to post those questions.

Not so much a question but have him talk about his "remake the Deities and Demigods art" project.

Bringing Pawsplay onto the show tonight to talk about his "Fantastic Creatures" project. Does anyone have questions for him about this kickstarter for M&M?

Now that the holidays are over, do you have any idea when the second part of the Halloween actual play will be available to us? I really enjoy listening to these when I am commuting.

Due to the long stretch between that recording and the chance to get people together again, I'm looking at scrapping the second part (sadly) and starting up a new 'campaign-oriented' series of podcasts. This time, I'm looking at getting my players together on a monthly basis and connecting the episodes together so you guys can see more aspects of gameplay, like how players spend their power points and how I adjudicate character growth. I'm still trying to put together a team of folks who can make it on a regular schedule, but stay tuned for announcements on that.
