"...no whine before it's time...?" but I really wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-nt the boo-o-o-o-o-o-k....

...geeze, just kidding...

Actually, I got the new Marvel book from RPGNow the day it came out and will most likely get the rest of the books in the series... But I would much rather spend my money on M&M products than Cortex, all other factors being equal...

Maybe there'll end up being some sort of mix-n-match with Marvel and GR... MWP got Smallville and Marvel... If an Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes RPG comes out separate from the Marvel: Heroic Roleplaying line or something... Hey, moles dream big...

Also, Jon, moles just love design journals... Almost as much as crullers... almost... :D

Agreed both systems will be different.. but they will still be officially licensed comic book RPG's which will try and get a new demographic into the RPG world. Not necessarily a large one, but one i know i am part of. I've never played a d20 system or any type of RPG and am a huge fan of both licenses as well as games.. so I'm on board.

The fact that the delay is due to quality control is probably even better since i'm glad its not gonna be rushed out, i like the pictures and layout.. its good readin'. But if perhaps the hold-up is a bunch suits arguing over licensing issues.. myeh.. ain't nothing can be done about that.. so i'll pretend the delay is to add more pictures of the Ray

and since my store has yet to receive the Marvel book, i guess i will just keep rereading my DCA/M&M products FTW

Goldar, maybe I just don't want to imagine it, but I have a hard time imagining that the book won't be out in PDF form by the end of March. But, if that winds up being the case for some horrible, horrible reason, I'll stop back and say something.

I'll also be starting some design journals for the book, so you'll see some new characters from Vol. 2 soon!

That's great news. :) I can't wait for those design journal previews. I can wait if it means a book without any errors. The part I'm looking forward to is the contents preview. I just need to know who's going to be in it.

I know DCA book 3 and the Threat Report book are a priority for my spending. I bought the GM book, and I'm still thinking what I'll be running in October.

I started a new thread for the first design journal, but I wanted to include the link to it here as well.

When I got my Tax Return I built a list of things that I would get with the money. I've got most everything on the list except some new glasses, sign up for Gen Con (my friend that's coming with me hasn't decided what day she wants to go-she can only make one day this year but one day is better than none) and buy the H & V vol II.

I've got the money, I've got the intent, I just need to go ahead!

I always enjoy reading these. I would love to see design journals on all the characters. But I know that isn't possible. Can't wait for H&V II and more design journals.

My group needs Volume 2! In our campaign, we're the last survivors of the Justice League, and we're recruiting replacements...but only from among heroes whose heroic identities begin with letters up to K. Do you really want Black Lightning, Katana and Green Arrow as Earth's last line of defense?

I'd take those three over any team with Geo-Force on it...

If I told you that we don't even have the cool Green Arrow, would that make a difference?
