I would guess they are really getting either serious negative feedback, poor sales, or both. Last week I received a survey from Neilsen regarding my comic purchases. I should have copied some questions to share with everyone, but alas, I did not.

The survey seemed to point in 2 directions. How I purchased comics ( digitally or print), what comics I was buying more than just the primere issue of, and what I did not like in what I had seen. The final section is what most shocked me. To ask for editorial critique from a reader sounds desperate when coming from a company like DC. I of course took full opportunity, trying to sound as logical and unemotional as possible while still letting them know exactly where I stood with the current story lines. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked if they were going for a 'classic 90's retro feel.'

In any event, this is the first time I've ever seen this kind of survey from a major comic company. I'm sure it's not the first time they've done such a thing, but I'm curious, has anyone else ever run into this?

Nielsen, the company that does the TV ratings?

I have not heard nor received anything like this, most especially not a Nielson rating regarding comic books!

But I am glad that you gave your feedback. Perhaps DC is not sure if the fans like this new direction they have taken and want some input. Maybe yours and other peoples' insights will help DC understand some points of fan interest and book direction.

You'd think DC would know by now how to make a proper reboot

But shouldn't they've made a survey BEFORE the reboot (in order to find out what they should fix, and what fans actually want to keep)? After all, it's a bit hard to change certain things like the new and "improved" Amazons without another reboot...

If you mean they have a lot of experience with reboots, then perhaps one might assume they'd be good at it by now... Unless you look at their actual track record, which is borderline abysmal... Observing someone doing something wrong repeatedly doesn't generally foster a lot of confidence in me that they're the best person/people for the job...

To be fair, though, they do seem to be progressing... Sure, it's in the wrong direction, but it's still progress, right...? Technically...? Sort of...? :|

I've assumed from Day One that another reboot is almost a certainty... That is, unless there's a zombie apocalypse (or other, comparable apocalyptic event) in the next year or two that forces them to abandon making comics first... It's Marvel's Onslaught idiocy all over again, done bigger and more painfully by DC.

I dunno, seems to be that all reboot attempts have the same shortcomings (mainly that they are not thought out all that well and that the previous continuity - the supposedly evil, confusing mess that made the reboot "necessary" to begin with - is still somewhat around, which only adds to the continuity problems), yet the obligatory mega-crossover story leading into the reboot gets more and more disappointing. Looks like the true Crisis is within DC itself. Heck, that might be what the "C" stands for nowadays Oo

Yes, it was the same company that does the TV ratings.

Also, I agree. DC moreso than anyone else should know how to do a reboot. If there ever was one that was well done, it was the original Crisis. I can't honestly think of another, from DC or Marvel, that is considered well done, or even became canon with its retelling.. Perhaps DC will listen to the fans. Or they will listen to the bean counters.. Either way, they will hear something they won't like

I mentioned this a while back, but have been away all summer. Has anyone thought of doing some up to date stats for the changes to the heros as a result of the New 52? I've been collecting some of the comics, and the Teen Titans are one of my favorites. Particularly Cassie (Wonder Girl). I'd like to have some official stats for her with her new armor/powers...

Its called DC Adventures.

The license includes one more book, a Universe book. Most of the material was developed (if not released) before Flashpoint, so it is unlikely the last book will include it, but you never know.

Haha. I know what DCA is :p

I was asking specifically about the DC universe book. It's no where on the Green Ronin site that I can find. Is it still in production?

Yes. And the reason you can't find it on their site is because the shop pages only have things available for sale.

Until it comes available for pre-order, it won't be in the shop pages.
