Deflect, particularly with the Redirect extra, works well for a defensive fighting technique, with a sort of 'parry and riposte.' You could also try Reaction Damage (unsuccessful melee attack).
Multiattack (possibly with Variable Descriptor 1: Any melee weapon) works for rapid attacks.
For some 'deception' type powers...
- Cunning Step: Teleport 1, Limited: must be able to traverse terrain normally. Possibly with a Deception check required, or Resistible: Insight (for the "aha!" I'm suddenly behind you!" moment)
- Feint: Close Affliction X, Limited Degree (Vulnerable, Defenseless). Possibly with Instant Recovery and linked to Strength-based damage.
- Taunt: Ranged Affliction X, Double Limited Degree (Impaired), Sense-based (hearing). Possibly as a Reaction to an unsuccessful attack.
