GURPS IST

I decided rather than continue with champions, I'd take a quick break and do this instead. First some background changes: Since the IST is replaced by the Vanguard in this setting, all the IST members unless otherwise noted are in the vanguard.

Heroes

Argurous Astraph: Dimitria Poulis is a Greek Metagirl who can transform into living metal, fly, and conduct electrity.A Greek superheroine for a number of years, she eventually joined the Vanguard following the Breakout. Dimitria is almost a split personality: She is friendly and amicable in her mundane identity, but acts cold and aloof in hero mode.

Bogatyr: The most recent Russian superhero to carry the mantle of Bogatyr after the second Bogatyr was killed in the breakout, Pavel Murmomets lacks the superhuman power of his predecessor, instead relying on a suit of high tech armor with a disintegration device built into a two handed axe. Very secretive, Pavel is secretly gay, and is jealous of other gay supers with the courage to come out.

Broadcast: A freelance Danish reporter, Niklaas Ten Boom was doing a report on African warlord Joseph Otenga when he uncovered his Child Ace plot. Exposed to the Wild card virus during his escape and near death, he gained the power to broadcast his vision into TV sets, Much like the American metahuman Rich "Voyeur" Royer. He presently lives in South Africa in secret, but still uses his powers to help local heroes fight the good fight.

Drifter: A Canadian metaman, Brandon MacConnell is an FISS with retractable claws and the power to turn invisible. Drifter is naturally invisible and needs to concentrate in order to become visible. Drifter was a foundling found by an old miner in British Colombia, When his father died, Spartacorp stripminers attempted to destroy his home, prompting Drifter to sabotage the efforts. If this became common knowledge, it could be the end for Drifters heroic career. In spite of this, he is still a very eco friendly hero, and has something of a rivalry with Ymir the radioactive viking.

Le Fantome D'Orleans: An Olympic class fencer, Jean-Louis Hilbert's metaman powers of intangibility and invisibility when PHANTOM agents raided and kidnapped participants in the Beijing Olympics, donning a makeshift mask, Hilbert aided the Vanguard and Tiger Squad to rescue his fellow Athletes. Realizing his career was over anyway, he decided to become a super hero with the Vanguard.

La Fusionne: A result of an experiment by the French branch of ASTRO labs, La Fusionne is the amalgamation of the mind of Dr. Nathalie Chaumont and MV-2400 a sentient super computer, into a third being with its own personality and no memories of the other two. La Fusionne is little over a year old, and has a nasty tendency to try and take over any group she works with, thinking her logic is faultless. In spite of this, the digital entity is a good sort and wants to help people.

Al Khadar: A plant manipulating Joker with green skin, Lebanese Hassan Aly Khedr became a target for the Nur Sect for being an outright joker (Ironic, since his physical alteration was nearly identical to that of the sects leader, Nur Al Allah), which led to him becoming a vigilante against the Nur sect when they killed his family. Al Khadar (The Green Man), eventually joined the Vanguard, and uses his plant based powers on numerous humanitarian projects.

Midnight Angel: A pure gestalt of the avenging angel archetype from Algeria, Angela Knight is a super strong, black skinned wing humanoid whose physical features are a mix of various races. In addition to her above average strength, Midnight Angel can also generate darkness at will. Though physically strong, she is somewhat unsure of herself and tends to be clingy.

Mlastina: A metaman with the power to bind things to the groud, Marya Tezescu was a Romanian super soldier who fought against super villains and Dracula's forces for years. Eventually she was recruited into the Vanguard. An old soldier, she is somehwat mystified by the more free wheeling nature of the Vanguard.

Patchwork: A creation of Frankenstein, Patchwork is a Promethean created from the remains of metamen and other superhumans. Though he did not gain the powers of various superhuman's the Doctor had hoped for, he was incredibly strong, relatively intelligent, and unlike most prometheans, did not generate disquiet at all. Dropped in New York with no memory of Frankenstein, Patchwork became a local hero in Jokertown and eventually joined the Vanguard. Patchwork often suffers from delusions of having powers he doesn't actually have. Luckily his healing factor and strength have protected him from messy accidents.

Pouka: A Scottish Ace, Blight Dunsumir has the powers of intangibility, invisibility, and transmutation. Initially a super villain, she was more like the Scottish Foxbat than an actual menace. Eventually caught by the Vanguard and drafted into the team in lieu of jail time. Pouka's prankster nature has softened a bit, but not by much.

La Tziomphe: French Moroccan Farah De Courcey was a street thief living on the streets of Rabat, Morocco when a nuclear bomb set off by Deaths head gave her the power of flight and light manipulation. After being rescued by the Vanguard along with several other people, she decided to join the team, lying about her age to get in.

Warrior: Born in Chicago, George Becker was born with only one hand. Constant teasing over his made Becker hard as nails. Wanting to become a cop, he was turned away because of his hand, he became a vigilante. His vigilante actions impressed the Vanguard so much they recruited him even without super powers, outfitting him with a high tech cybernetic arm. Despite being pardoned for his vigilante activities, several Feds who were after him went rogue and still pursue him to this day.

Witchwind: Elena Falk is a German metaman weather manipulator whose powers manifested when her family were attacked during a SHADOW terrorist attack. A skilled superhuman, she is now a high ranking IST member.

Zashcheta: A member of the Burning Protectorate secret guard, Natasha Dubrovnik is a metaman with the power to generate force fields (She can actually make two different kinds: Ones that stop energy, and ones that stop forcefields, she can also make them in tandem.) After Battle Czar took over the Protectorate, he sent Zascheta to become his spy in the Vanguard. Zascheta is a very unenthusiastic spy, and mainly keeps to herself.

Enemies

Al-ain min Allah: An Iranian metahuman, Badoura Al Kasim has precognitive powers, similar to those possessed by Kahina the seer, the late precog of the Nur Sect. However, Badoura's powers may be even greater than Kahina's ever were. Also unlike Kahina, Badoura is much more shy and withdrawn, happy to just be a member of the Iranian coalition of metahumans. She is also close friends with the Fist of Allah.

Dead Ringer: A DNascendant Micheal Holt was a mob legbreaker who was double crossed and left for dead (At least that's what he thinks, he was actually kidnapped, experimented on, and given false memories.) Holt woke up with chalk white skin, no hair, and red eyes, and the gruesome ability to absorb freshly killed people, gaining their appearance and memories. Since then Dead Ringer has been killing and replacing people in order to keep up his expensive lifestyle.

Desert Hawk: A Libyan metaman, Kareem an-Nahayan has the power to fly at superhuman speeds sufficient to generate sonic booms. A member of the Nur sect, Desert Hawk is a personal ally to the Righteous Djinn, who loves him like a brother. In addition to flight, Desert Hawk was supplied a high tech scimitar by the Foundry. While Desert Hawk is not as fanatical as other Nur Sect members, he despises Americans after the recent uprising in Libya and the role he perceives America in having in it.

Johnny Ripp: touted by some to be the second Mackie Messer, Pieter Kloont is a Murder gestalt who works as a freelance metavillain throughout Europe, armed with razor sharp claws, he has worked with numerous villains including Eurostar and Deaths Head.

Al Khalyl Min Allah: Zaid Al-Asaad is one of the most powerful of the Iranian metahumans. A 40 foot tall giant who can turn into a living shadow, Al Khalyl claims he does not know the source of his powers, but in truth he is a Bargainer. Though he primarily acts as a strategist (due to one of his arms being withered and useless), sometimes his zealousness gets the better of him and he wades into battle himself.

Kristallnacht: Franz Geitler is a Neo Nazi Metaman with the power to shoot shards of razor sharp crystals from his hand. Franz is also armed with a suit of high tech battle armor provided by the Foundry, He operates as a freelance mercenary villain throughout Europe, and has worked with SHADOW and Eurostar in the past.

Der Totenschien: The Death Certificate is an unknown assassin who specializes in taking out super heroes, no one knows anything about this mysterious killer except that is very effective; killing countless supers over the years. He specializes in poisoning his victims.

The Void: Maria Katerina Francesca Gomez was a Spanish girl who suffered from various mental illnesses, unbeknownst to her parents. Paranoid and delusional, she fled to England and began to steal high tech equipment in order to build something to protect herself from "them." She then made the mistake of raiding a local chapter of the John Smith Society, and being exposed to a particle disruptor which turned her into a living event horizon. The Void has its own personality, and can change back to Maria. Sharing her psychoses, The Void continues to steal high tech equipment. Void can also teleport, absorb mass to increase its mass with no upward limit, and manipulate gravity. So far Void has killed numerous heroes by absorbing them into her event horizon and is considered extremely dangerous.

Hey Crinos:

I just wanted to say I really admire your skill in both updating the GURPS IST heroes and villains to the modern day AND blending them into your own rpg universe.

Really well done!

Thanks. This kinda also brings up another subject: What do I do with Iran.

Part of me wants it to be taken over by the Nur Sect, but another part wants to make it a PHANTOM nation.

Yeah, I suppose I could see the Nur sect representing the concerns of PHANTOM in the middle east.

Re: The Crinoverse 2 (Classic Enemies)

Postby Crinos » Sat May 26, 2012 11:11 pm

Anyways, back to our wheel house.

Classic Enemies

A lot of the guys in classic enemies were covered in Conquerors, Killers and Crooks, which I did back in the 1st threads, so I will be covering the baddies who weren't in that book.

Plasmoid: A former member of the Ultimates, Plasmoid is a robotic probe from an alien world where machines had conquered organic life and routed it as a forward scout. Damaged through traveling through a cloud of cosmic radiation, it was transformed into a bizarre energy being which seeks to dominate hostile lifeforms and make friendly contacts with passive ones (which usually devolves to attacking anything that moves and trying to "talk" with household appliances.) He was originally kept around by the Ultimates for muscle, but proved to chaotic to control, and was allowed to be captured by AEGIS and locked up in Super Alcatraz.

Charger: The Ultimates newest member, Edward Ellis was dying of cancer, and volunteered to be cryogenically frozen so he could live to see a cure. while in stasis, his system was hit by lightning, which woke him up and gained super powers, becoming a living battery with a lowered internal temperature. Cured of his illness, he decided to use his new power to take what he felt the world owed him, becoming a member of the Ultimates.

The Conquerors: A supervillain group with world domination aspiration, the Conquerors lack the vital teamwork and coordination that could make them a force to be reckoned with. As a result, they are largely considered a joke.

-Neutron: The team leader, Hassan Ackbar Hammond is an Egyptian metaman with magnetic manipulation powers. Pushed to part time criminal activities by his father after they moved to the states, Neutron went off the deep end when his father was shot by the police. Vowing vengeance, He developed his costume and formed the Conquerors.

-Arc:Achmed Stintowitz was a technician hired by Ackbar to help him build a death ray for the Foundry, when an accident gave him electricity manipulating powers. A spineless coward, Neutron quickly brow beat him onto the team.

-Ankylosaur: Already covered in Conquerors, killers and crooks, Ankylosaur recently upgraded his armor with help from a mysterious benefactor, and was then hired by Neutron to join his team.

-Wyvern: John Mcdougal was an AEGIS agent who was transformed into a winged, near mindless monster with venom blasts. Nearly mindless, he was a partner to Ankylosaur, and followed him into the Conquerors.

Bora: IIRC Kreuz already covered Bora in the SAS entries as part of Thule's superteam.

White Flame: A disgraced British hero, Sir John is a fire gestalt who was put in prison after going after a murderer with lethal force. Left bitter by the media circus surrounding his trial and his imprisonment, he escaped from prison and became a super villain.

Whip: Szandor Kryogya is a Roma from the burning protectorate who trained in the use of a whipe as a deadly weapon to protect his family from the mutants and other horrors common to the Protectorate. After Battle Czar took over, he became a member of the Protectorates royal guard, but eventually tired of this and, knowing his family was now safe from mutants, defected and became a freelance mercenary villain.

The Raiders: The Raiders are three mercenaries who track down super villains to collect the bounty on them, often using lethal force and not caring who gets in their way. They are wanted by several law enforcement agencies and have killed numerous super heroes.

-Bullet: Randolph Barr was a soldier in Desert Storm at only 14, He eventually went on to become one of the best mercenaries around. After killing a pair of B list super villains, he realized that's where the real money was and formed the raiders. Aside from his top notch training, and a series of specialized grenades, Bullet has no actual powers.

-Big John: Unrelated to the racist supervillain in the states, John MacDougall is a Scottish Metaman with the power to grow to giant size. Moving to the states and becoming an engineer, he joined Bullet after he saved him from SHADOW agents during a terrorist attack. He is the team muscle.

Starseer: A Lor scientist and explorer, siLok Bee Cu'nok discovered an ancient Grigori artifact on an abandoned planet; An alien crown which granted him Cosmic powers, and erased his memory. Wandering around the universe, he eventually came to Earth, coming across Bullet and Big John fighting a team of villains, and offering his aid to the Raiders after the villains attacked him.

Professor Muerte: Hernan Cortez always knew he was destined to conquer the world, which is what led him to seek out Doctor Destroyer when he was living in Buenos Aires. Admiring the young mans ambition, destroyer taught Cortez everything he knew about science and tech and helped him build his own armor. During the silver age Professor Muerte has his own terrorist team Terror Inc. Until he was betrayed and apparently killed by Scorpia and Feurmacher (who went on to join Eurostar). However, Destroyer thought ahead, and made a clone of Muerte which eventually reactivated to seek revenge against his killers.

Giganto: The only member of Terror Inc. who was actually loyal to Muerte, Giganto was a native Argentinian who Muerte turned into a super powerful rock monster. Giganto spent years wandering in mourning of his fallen master, occasionally fighting super heroes, but now serves as his masters bodyguard now that he is back.

Ray: Another victim of Project Sunburst, Ray was mutated into an aquatic humanoid who needs to stay immersed in water or suffer pain as he dries out. A violent psychopath, he is wanted for murder of innocent atlanteans, also a foe to Ultramarine.

Thunder and Lightning: John and Margaret Harrington had no real interest in using their super powers, but when the middle class couple had cash trouble at Tax time, they began to use their powers for petty theft to make ends meet. They did this for a couple of years until they were caught by Captain Thunder. On his advice, The Harrington's were shown leniency and given a year of community service as super heroes. Unfortunately all this did was embitter the pair and convince them to become super villains. Margaret (Thunder), is a FISS, while John (Lightning) can manipulate electricity and teleport.

Panda and Raccoon: Another married villain pair, Panda was Ginger Hobart (Originally Bosworth), a Joker ace with minor psychic powers and furry ears resembling those of a Panda. A British orphan, she was captured by PSI and brought to their Emerald City compound for brainwashing into one of their assassins and breeding stock. She managed to escape during the Avengers raid on the compound. Shortly thereafter she met Robin Hobart, a spoiled and sheltered rich boy who ran away from home and joined the House of Serpents. When his superiors tried to execute the young girl, Robin protected her and the pair fled. The pair then got married and became a super villain duo. Raccoon has no powers, but is an expert martial artist, and also trained Panda.

Avar-7: An precursor to Omni, Avar-7 was a robot protector sent to Earth to protect its people on behalf of the Lor. He was quickly captured by the Foundry and partially reprogrammed for evil. Now very confused, he tries to conquer the world but still can't take human life. Avar-7 poses as a book clerk, and has density manipulating powers.

Beamline: Dr. Thomas Lande was a MERLIN engineer who tried to fix a particle accelerator while it was still on. Hit by a beam of radiation, he was given the power to turn into living plasma. He currently seeks to established his own country with an enlightened dictatorship, and is also stealing radioactive materials, as he needs constant radiation treatments to keep his form stable.

Black Claw: Randall Standish doesn't want to be a villain, he just became one because he needs the money. Super strong with the power to manipulate darkness, Black claw designed a bullet proof costume with built in knives on his hands. Black Claw is a fighter in the Circus Maximus.

Black Mamba: Jefferson Durant was a Nobel Prize winner who was targeted by King Cobra of Unity. Using his gene coil touch to turn him into a snake man, he was surprised when somehow Black Mamba proved immune to the genetic hooks which ensure his minions loyalty. Obsessed with destroying King Cobra for murdering his family, Black Mamba has become as twisted and cruel in his obsession as the monster he fights.

Dragon Master: Hua Xiao Yang left his tiny fishing village of Hua (secretly the home of an old white lotus master who trained all the townsfolk in martial arts), to seek his destiny, which led him to joining the Tiger Squad. While not super powered, his martial arts skills more than make up for this.

Dreadnought: A prototype suit of armor designed by Nazi scientists during the war, the Dreadnought armor was large, clunky, and powerful. In addition, its had a poorly shielded radiation core which slowly kills the wearer. Numerous people have used the Dreadnought armor over the years, the current wearer wields it for Thule as a member of the Einherjar. SHADOW has also designed upgraded forms of the Dreadnoughts as powerful battle robots.

The Fox of Crime: Frederic Fagan is a joker ace with teleporting powers and the face of a Fox, A gifted genius, he grew bored as a commodities dealer in Chicago, and decided to become a supervillain who specializes in humiliating super heroes with his cartoony antics. he has recently learned of another teleporter, Charli of the Avengers, who may finally provide a challenge for him.

Freon: Fred Ellsworth was an ICL capo who had big dreams. Sent to assassinate two undercover AEGIS agents, he ended up being knocked into a cooling vat which activated his meta gene, giving him the power to turn into and control ice and cold.

Gremlin: Linda Shane is a victim of the DNascent process, turned into a winged gargoyle by what she thought is a radical female terrorist group known as WITCH (actually a Labyrinth front), she is often a foe to the Wyvern clan. She has also recently joined up with a real all female terrorist group: The Femizons.

Griffin: One of several villains to use this name, Carlos Digger was a pimp facing death row for killing one of his girls, and given a chance out by agreeing to let himself be exposed to the Wildcard virus. The virus turned him into a winged humanoid griffin and a bestial monster. Was a member of Gene Nation till the recent breakup, now a member of the Dark Tribunal.

Halfjack: A mercenary in Africa, Jack Smith was mortally wounded and found by Foundry Scientists who rebuilt him into a literal half man, half machine, split straight down the middle. Driven slightly mad by the ordeal, Halfjack is in love with his robotic half, and seeks to become fully mechanized.

Hideous: Covered him in the Troll rogues gallery.

Ladybug: A scientist from Toronto, Sandra Anderson wanted to develop a new series of battle armor to replace the Avro Arrow corps and the armors used by the RCMP. The idea was shot down by the Government, so Anderson decided to show them how good her armor was by becoming a super villain, while stealing cash to fund he research.

Mongoose: Alex Taylor is a martial artist who ran afoul undercover House of Serpent agents during a martial arts tournament, shot and left for dead, Alex became a costumed villain to pay his medical bills and get back at the House of Serpents, thwarting some of their low end operations through less than legal means and keeping some of the money for himself.

Kevin developed eye beams, as well as various sight based detection powers, and became the costumed criminal Oculon.

Power Crusher: Gordon Donovan is a metaman with super strength and durability who worked as a leg breaker for the house of serpents. Outfitted with a pair of gauntlets that allow him to drain the physical attributes of others with touch. Getting too big for his britches, he struck out on his own and became a solo villain, earning the House of Serpents wrath.

Plague: Chris Hammond was a professional stoner whose metaman power of intangibility went unnoticed for years due to his constant highs. He discovered his powers during a drug deal gone bad, he became an agent of the ICL, then became a mercenary villain when the ICL folded.

Rainbow Archer: Marion Locksley is the little sister of Robyn Hood, Marion (note the different spelling, as opposed to Marianne), is also an olympic class archer and engineer who helped design better and more stable bows. Accused by a jealous rival of using an illegally modified bow in a competition. Banned from professional competition, she became bitter and became a villainess. She and her sister are arch enemies, but the Senior Locksley sister still has a soft spot for her "Little Mary." Rainbow Archer uses a high tech bow with a variety of trick arrows.

Ripper: James Allison was a marine in Desert Storm who was captured by PHANTOM and subjected to experients that turned him into a hulking, near mindless musclebound cyborg. A near mindless marauder, Ripper went on a rampage after being rescued by the Sentinels of Liberty and Justice, and have been one of their more persistent enemies.

Arrogant and proud, Thok cannot communicate with most humans, and even if he could he wouldn't want any help from humans and would be insulted by their offers. He is also a foe to Divinos and SWORD.

Timemaster: Tymon Mazurich comes from a possible future where superhumans and nats went to war, and the world fell under the oppresive regime of the World council. Seeking to overthrow this regime. Tymon designed a hi tech time manipulating suit and traveled back in time to find heroes to help him free his own time. He does this by posing as a super villain and doing battle with various super heroes to study them. He is also attempting to build a new time machine to get back home.

GURPS Super Scum

The Black Moon Society: A small cadre of golden age criminals, the Black Moon Society had discovered a mystical tome in an attic with instruction for spells and creating magic items. After the war the Society members were absorbed into the Pact.

The Deadly Dozen: One of the more infamous villain teams out there, the Deadly dozen is a freehold based villain group who regularly numbers twelve. To this end, Professor Possessor joined the Deadly Dozen, thinking it would further his ends.

-Red Tempest: A former reporter, Russel Hardin mainly covered metahuman themed stories, which left him with an inferiority complex which drove him to become a crime fighter and then a criminal himself. Lacking powers, he used his savings to purchase a suit of power armor from the Foundry.

-Tele-Fist: a race car driver, Bert Larson was critically injured in a racing accident, and rebuilt by the foundry into a cyborg. Gaining his name from his extending cybernetic arms, He was forced into a life of crime to pay the Foundry back the money he owes them.

-Voltmaster: Victor Schulman was born Vercingetorax, a Germanic tribesman in first century BC. When the Romans invaded his lands, he prayed to the Gods for intervention, and was granted immortality and electricity manipulating powers by Wotan. Over the yeas, Victor came to the conclusion that mankind was only thriving while at war with itself, tot hat end, he became a super villain and joined the deadly dozen.

Cascade: An Australian Marine Biologist, Katherine Andrews was an enviromentalist who attempted to stop nuclear testing on a Pacific Island. While it seemed like she was going to stop the testing by protesting on the island. Doctor Radiation took over the test and set off the nuke. Disintegrated, Katy somehow survived, becoming a being of living water. Filled with outrage by what happened, and driven slightly mad, she became an environmental villain. In addition to a body of water, Cascade is a Hydrokinetic.

Corsair: Neil Hodges always seemed to live a charmed life; Being born the heir of a wealthy lumber company, winning the lottery, and getting two cars AND a yacht for his sixteenth birthday. One day, while sailing his yacht, he got a front row seat to a super battle. Grabbing his scuba gear, he managed to salvage the weapon of one of the villains, a beam weapon. He took it to a mechanic friend who modified it into a sword shape, and became a modern day swash buckling pirate, armed with a sword that fires non lethal energy blasts. Often a foe to Siren.

Doctor Radiation: Already covered him as a foe to Ymir. Since the fall of the Czar in the Burning Protectorate, Radiation has been shopping around for a new ally.

Dominator: Apparently a legitimate Businessman, George Sanchez's company Quality Engineering Systems is just a front for TRADE, a competitor with the Foundry that specializes in stealing superheroes gear, duplicating it, and mass producing it for sale. Interested in power armor, he designed his own suit of armor and became the villain Dominator so he could go out and steal other heroes tech personally. In addition to strength and flight, his suit can also turn intangible.

Domino: Dieter Gross is a German metaman with teleporting powers. Angered by what he considers to be American interference in Europe, he went on to become a saboteur and one man terrorist against American forces both locally and abroad.

Erik Bloodaxe: Tom Guarnacci was a crooked dock night watchman when he stumbled upon a magical axe with the power to turn him into a giant. Who transformed Belosh into a hulking, super powerful brute with the power to melt objects with a touch, sending him out to hunt down artifacts stolen from Khufu's tomb prior to Belosh entering. After Anakaris rose to power, he helped restore the artifacts to their rightful place and laid Khufu to rest. He then made Mastabah one of Egypts national heroes, restoring his intellect in the process.

Mirage: Lam Ngyuyen was a child in Vietnam when his village was destroyed by Deaths head, who poisoned the water supply with an experimental defoliant. Lam survived, gaining powers of Illusion generation and teleportation, he was recruited by the Vietnamese army, but eventually escaped to the states and became a super villain.

Predator: Archer Hayes was a thief in the 1920's when he attempted to steal the Tiger Opal, a mystic gem which exploded when he touched it, making him super strong and durable, and granting him immortality. A former member of the Nimba cult, a former stuntman, and often a criminal, he has found immortality has becoming boring and tedious, so he became a super villain to try and find something, anything, that can kill him.

Rictus: Angela Borden was the child of wealthy parents who constantly ignored her, causing her to become bitter and cruel. Developing the powers of flight, Intangibility, and to cause psionic pain, she used her powers to torment an endless string of baby sitters, she finally snapped when she was snubbed by a boy she liked at the prom. She ran away from home, becoming the costumed villainess Rictus.

Soul Ripper: A born telekinetic, Dennis Swanson was a meta-supremacist who joined Gene Nation alongside his half sister (who would become the villainess Ventura), Gene Nation experimented on both of them, and while Dennis' TK remained relatively weak, he gained the ability to inflict pain on others. Becoming Soul Ripper, he was a Gene Nation assassin till the Red Kings defeat, when he became a freelance villain, joining the deadly dozen temporarily before going solo.

Sponge: Lyle Brown was a drug dealer with minor vibration manipulation powers, until he discovered he could absorb kinetic energy following a drop out a window during a drug sting. Tired of the drug game, Lyle decided the real money was in super villainy and became the Sponge.

Talon: Jani Yahamito was a assistant researcher at the John smith society studying meta powers and the regenerative powers of reptiles. Like so many scientists, she decided to try some self experimentation and grafted webbing on her hands. When her superiors saw what she had done, they realized what would eventually come of it and tried to stop it. Jani fled, grafting and altering herself more and more as she fled, eventually turning herself into a mindless reptillian humanoid named Talon.

Thunderbolt: Lisa Daviles was a metaman with flight and weather control powers. Wanting to get out of her home on an Apache Reservation, she concocted a story about being possessed by an ancient demon her ancestors had imprisoned and she had released. After several "Incidents", she was taken to the Gonzo institute. Falling in love with the idea of super heroes and super villains, she escaped the institute and became the villainess Thunderbolt. She is a former member of the deadly dozen.

Ventura: Half Sister of Soul Ripper, Linda Swanson also underwent experimentation by Gene nation, which increased her Telekinesis and telepathy powers vastly. She used her powers as a spy for Gene nation for a time, while completing her education and eventually becoming a senior partner at a men's clothing chain, and a wall street wiz. Bored with the ease her powers let her made money, she decided to become a Supervillain, and is one of the most powerful Telekinetics on the West coast, on par with Gravitar.

Warmonger: Greg Mosby was a soldier in Desert Storm and one of the first victims of the Bestiary when they went rogue. After returning home, his wife and two daughters were killed in the crossfire of a super battle. Snapping, Mosby decided all superhumans were threats to America. Mosby began targeting superhumans, specifically those whose regularly put innocent bystanders in harms way. Warmonger has killed three so far and put one in the hospital, and he isn't stopping any time soon.

The Pride: Doctor John Matthews was a professor of Zoology in Winnipeg, who encountered a Canadian Shaman during a trip with three of his students. The Shaman imbued the four with four spirits, giving each of them super powers. Matthews, gaining telepathic and mind control powers, manipulated the other three into becoming cat themed super villains, and thus the Pride was born.

-Citrakya: Mundi Guttalu is a shy young Hindi woman who gained the power of super fast flight and a protective force field.

-Snow Leopard: Eric Rivire is a vain, arrogant jackass with a cocaine problem and the ability to manipulate cold.

-Tigress: Carole Kelly is a super strong, super dense brick, she is Matthews assistant and TA.

The Exchange: A creation of the crime union, the Exchange is an employment Agency for super villains. Anyone can call their toll free number (which is constantly changing), in order to either hire a villain or villain team, or check if anyone is hiring.

Re: The Crinoverse 2 (San Angelo)

Postby Crinos » Mon May 28, 2012 6:45 pm

San Angelo

Okay, gonna come clean here. I intend to use the San Angelo characters, but I'm not going to use the town itself. Instead I will be placing all the San Angelo characters in Los Dios.

Anyways here we goes.

The Justice Foundation: Founded in 1994, the Justice Foundation started as a research foundation to discover the source of the various ills the human race faced, from crime to terrorism to social injustice. After the Breakout, the Foundation recruited several super heroes to form a team to act on their behalf.

-Corona: Callie Dalton was a lawyer who gained superpowers when exposed to what she thought was a falling star during a hiking trip. In actuality it was a meteorite of Omlevex. Given the ability to generate flames, she became the super hero Corona, and became the leader of the Justice Foundation.

-Azteca:Diego Cruz was a former gang member who walked away from his gang after the death of his older brother and parole officer. Discovering he had limited super strength and endurance, he became the super powered martial arts master Azteca. He was a member of the same gang Rosa Loteria was in, and is still friends with her.

-Cavalier: Lt. Micheal Quinn was US airforce test pilot who was selected to test out an experimental suit of battle armor meant to test technologies that would later be integrated into the Steel Commando. Restless with the endless testing of the armor, Quinn went AWOL to Los Dios to use his armor to fight crime. Upon discovering this, the Army decided to let him join the Justice Foundation.

-Lotus: The newest member of the foundation, Debbie Yuan was horrified to find that her father was a powerful crime lord who controlled the Los Dios China town. Defying he father, the super strong meta Lotus became a super hero known as Lotus. Still a teen, Lotus is also a student at hope prep.

-Savant: A top researcher for the Foundation, Salim Abdul-Jahai gained psychic powers following the freshmen terror event. While not a front line his powers, his psychic abilities make him extremely useful as a detective.

The Bard: Brian Quayle is a College student at LDU who discovered a magical flute which once belonged to the unholy Red Minstrel, and contained potent mystic power. After stopping a mugger, he decided to use his new flute to fight crime.

Dynamo: Jordan Allen was a poor girl from Georgia who signed on with the Silber agency after developing electricity manipulating powers. Signing on with Peregrine Aircrafts (Which has a history of using super hero spokespeople, including Peregrine herself), She approaches super heroics as a business.

Paragon the Perfect Human: Robin Flemming was a weak and sickly man who used his wealth to produce a serum which would turn him into the perfect person. It succeeded, increasing his attributes to physical perfection, becoming a hero, Paragon is one of the most well liked and popular heroes around, and has a friendly (emphasis on friendly) rivalry with the Best Man. Unknown to anyone, Paragon is addicted to the serum that grants him his power, and might die from the withdrawal if he stops.

Amok: A Dnascendant, Warren Voight is a street bum who developed superhuman strength and durability. Possessing a hair trigger temper, he has gone on several rampages through Meta Town, and has gotten into numerous fist fights with Frank Meltzer prior to his incarceration.

Bloodsport: Cameron is a clone created by Gentech labs which escaped during a fire before it could be programmed. A blank slate, he eventually fell in with the world of underground fighting.

Phobia: Emily Warden is the daughter of Reverend John Warden, one of the less extreme Reverends in the Church of Seven Thunders, who believes metahumans and in particular superhumans distract people from the kingdom of Heaven. Unfortunately Emily herself is a metaman with the power to project illusions of ones worst fears. One night during an argument she used her powers by accident on her father, discovering he was afraid of HER. She ran away, and lived on the street for a while before being picked up by The Fear Master and his circus of fear. Emily has now been browbeaten and emotionally abused into becoming Fear Masters "Queen of fear" and using her powers to terrorize innocent people. She desperately wants to stop, but is too afraid of Fear Master, Meanwhile, her father is seeking ways to rescue his daughter.

Photon: Stephen Bow is a Spartacorp exec who was ruthless enough to get to the top, After a lab accident gave him solar manipulation powers, Stephen Bow became the costumed villain Photon to become truly powerful.

Siren: Christina Spiros and her sister Maria both worked in a Spartacorp chemical plant when an "accident" (Actually a test of bio weapons on their employees), put Maria in a coma and gave Christina sonic manipulation powers. Becoming the villainess Siren, Christina is obsessed with bringing down Spartacorp.

Kreuzritter wrote:Gramercy Island, part 2: the convicts

Abatwa - the chosen champion of west african spirits, Samuel Sgorto's new powers helped him barely escape the brutal and bloody civil war that slaughtered the very village he'd sworn to protect. not wanting to die, he allied with the local warlord, and took a career of supercrime in the US to support his new master. but, being new to business, abatwa was caught, and sentenced to 7 years for theft. although certain he can escape, Abatwa intends to sit out his sentence, ashamed to have abused his gift in so base a manner.

When White Lion of Dakana learned of Abatwa, he instantly recognized the work of the spirits, and sent emissaries to Gramercy island to talk to him. When he gets out Abatwa plans on going to Dakana and becoming one of its protectors.

Afterburner - one of the most powerful and notorious fire-based supervillains in the southwest United States, Afterburner was finally brough down by the Centurions when he came to Century station. sen to Gramercy Island, Afterburner claimed he'd be free in 30 days, tops. its day 28 of his life behind bars, and quite a few people are waiting to see if Afterburner wil indeed bust out, or if his words are just hot air.
Prior to incarceration Afterburner had also done battle with the Freedom League and the Sentinels, though neither team was able to permanently capture him.

Antarctica - an ace with powers over cold, Antarctica likes to think beyond her means, making her an underworld joke.
Antartica was a minor foe to Johnny Rocket, who suggested she use her powers for Antarctic exploration as opposed to villainy.
The Bag Lady - an old, senile sorceress turned homeless vagrant, the Bag Lady is currently doing time for killing 8 violent gang-bangers. helpless without her sachel, the bag lady is currently in a-block
Sadly, the Bag Lady was a prominent member of the Covenant before she lost her mind, brought on by a combination of a magical curse and her family being wiped out by the Pact.
Baron Zanzibar - world reknowned bounty hunter, assassin and serial cape-killer, Baron Zanzibar is your classic 'big game hunter' themed hitman, with a pedigree going back to the russian czars and a lust for the hunt only sated by going after superheroes
Zanzibar is a professional rival to both Big Game Hunter and Orion the Hunter, and the trio have gone on hunts together.

The Billionaire - William "Dollar Bill" Randle, one of the richest men in the continental United States, had the cash, patience and audacity to actually buy his way into the Labyrinth, making it as far as what Taurus has labelled 'middle management', serving as a one man swiss bank account for supervillains wishing to do 'business' in Century Station. That is, until he got busted for tax evasion and is serving 20 years. Taurus wants Randle to serve at least a quarter of that sentence as punishment for being so sloppy with his own books. (that he hasn't spilled Labyrinth secrets is the only reason randle's still alive.)
The Billionaire rarely fought heroes directly. but the IRS audit that took him up was set up by the Technomancer on orders from Doc Steele.

Bluehair - something of a folk hero amongst the criminal underworld, Marjorie Bonapatre's a sweet litle old lady who also happens to be one of the most successful getaway drivers in the united states, due mostly to her rare Linkin Gormanzo super-vehicle. Spartacorp is currently springing for appealing her 20 year sentence, as they want to base their new SUV line on her infamous monster roadster.
Bluehair was a foe to Speed Demon of the sentinels, who broke her hip trying to capture the Granny.
The Body Shots - a 6-pack of super powered street fighters, it's no surprise that the body shots are in the employ of August Roman's circus maximus, and were the stars of its southwest franchise. then they got it in their heads to work for the elusive Minotaur, and life was good, until the body shots got arrested, and Minotaur threw them under the bus. Roman intends to have his former goons released, and will decide what to do with them once he figures out what they know. the Body shots consist of:

- Uppercut - Wallace Mangold was an aging underground boxer until he gained new vitality and superhuan strength and reflexes via the DNAscedant process. he feels bad about ditching Roman for the minotaur, but figures he's had a long and good run, so ther than that hehas no regrets.

- Bolchok the world's deadliest football hooligan, Bolchok's a russian immigrant who watched "A Clockwork Orange" a fw too many times. while lacking the powrs of his teammates, he makes up for it in pure viciousness and brutality.

- Haymaker - a prototype combat android that's become self aware, Knuckleduster took to street fighting to afford maintenence

- Knuckleduster- the least skilled but by far the most powerful of the gang, Haymaker was a champion bodybuilder before she was outed as a metaman and disgraced as a cheat, and when she worked for the roman to payt off her debts, she discovered her aptitude for supercrime

- Roundhouse - an arrogant and violent world warrior-class martial artist, Archie Voss has been walking the path of Akuma, destroying every martial arts school he came across, until he was recruited by the Roman, and later the Minotaur, whom he still beleives will bail them out any day now. when he finally figures out what went wrong, he's gonna be pissed... more than usual, i mean

- Stranglehold - an elastic luchador with a body of living rubber, Stranglehold loves money just a bit morethan he likes fighting
Back in the Circus Maximus, the Body Shots were rivals to the Contenders, both in the ring and in the criminal underworld. Still, there is a healthy amount of respect between the groups, and the Contenders even offered to help break them out of Gramercy (Roman vetoed the idea, deciding they needed someone with more...finesse to handle it.

Bughouse - regarded as a 'fearmaster wannabe', Bughouse certainly looks the part, a well-built maniac dressed like a slasher movie killer and his signature paired chainsaws. however, Bughouse doesn't really care about fear, instead using his psychic powers to incite violent riots, hoping to cause one greater than the infamous Jokertown riots of the 1970's.
Bughouse actually is a slasher, the result of Hades attempting to create a slasher from someone who already has superpowers. Results have been... promising to say the least.

Caligula - a genius mastermind and deranged maniac who really does think he's the infamous roman emperor, Caligula's attempt to rule the century station underworld ended in in his arrest and imprisonment, which he sees as 'exile to his winter palace after a coup', and beliving his 'royal guard' will be along to rescue him and restore him to his rightful throne any day now, unaware his gang has already fallen apart without his guidance and charisma. Caligula has also taken correspondence with his mentor, the 'former emperor Augustus', and August Roman sees potential in this gifted lunatic.
Mr. Hoppy has also taken an interest in Caligua, and has begun appearing to him in the guise of the Roman God Bacchus. He may grant him super powers or a fraction of his own power after a time.

Chambara - an iron age vigilante, Chambara's parents were murdered by the Hundred Oni Ninja clan, and he both swore and took revenge against them using his skill and passion as a martial arts prodigy. destroying their american operations, Chambara retired from heroics to become part of Xtreme! action combat Championships, where he rose to superstardom until his bloodlust got the better of him, and during a public venue slew not only his opponent, but staium security, several police officers and one superhero before he was brought down. this killing spree has gotten him 50 years without parole, bu this has no importance to chambara, nor are the bloody tatters of a lucrative career and lawsuits against his chain of martial arts dojos. no, to chambara, the fight is all.
Chambra's bloodthirsty attitude has drawn the attention of the demonic martial artist Akuma, who plans to fight Chambra himself, even if he has to kill his way into Gramercy island to do so.

Conspiritor - a nefarious superstar of the third world war zones, the Conspiritor has been waging a one-man war against all governments since he first popped up about ten years ago, before he was caught by a joint operation between UNISON and unknown agents unaffiliated with the so-called Foundation for world Harmony (which i remind readers does not exist.). currently serving 99 consecutive life sentences, Conspiritor continues to write his manifestos and somehow publish them online. Conspiritor is kept alive for fear of making him a martyr, hopes of exploiting his ties to Overthrow, and the fact that he's a 'drinking buddy' of The Radical.
Conspirator also has connections to the Murder League and the Warlord.
Coppertop - a timid yet scientist whose experiments turned him into a brutal, thuggish electrified metal monster.
An occasional, if minor foe, to Captain Thunder and Troll.

Cormorant - a rookie supercriminal, Cormorant's ill-timed debut came when he got in an aeriel dogfight with Red Hawk, whose bad luck broke even as the two armored theives knocked each other out of the sky. AEGIS is currently looking into exactly where Cormorant got his unique armor. The foundry is equally curious
The armor in question is currently being examined by AEGIS and the John Smith Society, who are equally mystified by its origins.
Crashpad - a veteran career superciminal, Crashpad's force feild reinforced exo-armor's made him a mainstay in the supercrook community as hired muscle
Crashpad is primarily a foe of Minotaur from the Reserves.
Cryptolo - century station street punk turned master info-criminal. is unaware his ex-partner, Motherboard, passed along his secret cayman accounts to Freebooter, who in turn told calamity Jane of Merlin, which moved up several income brackets once they were done.
This doublecross was not undeserved, because Cryptolo was trying the same exact thing at the same time.
Curmudgeon - a prototype super-android built by the foundry that escaped and has been wandering the country thinking itself a homeless man for the past 7 years. Curmudgeon is only vaguely aware of his origins, and has no intention of being looked at like some kind of science project
Curmudgeon is actually an advanced version of Keres intended to replace him. Talos suspects Keres himself is responsible for Curmudgeon's going awol, but cannot prove it.
The Magnificent Cuttlefish - a combination folk hero/urban legend in the prison, the Cuttlefish was a d-list loser supercriminal who had himself turned into a creature not unlike captain Kraken, and went on to a fairly ignble career. what makes him a legend is that cuttlefish was the island's first public escapee, when he somehow escaped his cell and using a rudimentary jet-pack he'd built in the machine shop, flew off from the alphaville exercise yard only to plunge from a 6000 foot drop into the island waters during a tropical storm. some say cuttlefish still haunts the island waters, plotting his revenge against the prison
Cuttlefish was a foe to Siren and an ally to the original Captain Kraken (who initially mistook him for a fellow illithian.)
Cygnus - An alien warlord, Cygnus is a Bhlaze, the same race of energy-based life forms as Century Station's own Alpha Prime, making him a roughly humanoid shaped mass of energized superheated plasma. his attempt at global conquest didn't go as smoothly as with other worlds, and he's currently trapped within a special confinment matrix until he can be safely extridited to Lorspace to stand trial for his many crimes
The Bhlaze are also the same species as the alien warlords Pyron and Voltz, though Cygnus is not on their same level of power.

Deathsquad - the combination of two supervillain trios, the deathsquad is a collection of hired guns and killers, who after a pitched gun battle, found they all had much in common and were all quite willing to work together on behalf of their 'mysterious benefactor'. Deathsquad's members are:

- Doubletap - a former House of Serpents assassin who chose to strike out on his own, Doubletap realizes he's made a lot of mistakes since flying solo, and as the de facto leader of the Deathsquadf, is teaching himself to be an effective leader than a brash solo operative

- the hong kong kid - a hong Kong born master of Gun fu, the Hong Kong Kid is John woo film come to life, right down to how there always seems to be a bunch of birds taking flight somewhere when he's in the midst of a shootout as he dances gracefully and untouched while his dual weilded gold plated automatics fire in a graceful ballet of death

- Sabot & Flechette - a bonnie and clyde pair of professional mercenaries whose careers were cut short by a balkan land mine, but found new lease through the foundry Sabot (Varke gomez) got himself a suit of power armor to get around his quadrapelicness, while Flechette remade herself into an ugly yet efective full conversion cyborg

- Pointman - a hgh tech sniper's sniper, Cesar Alemandro saved up his paydays for his dream project, killing at least three heads of state at a United Nations World Summit from a mile away. he failed miserably, and was trying to flee the country when he got into theat gunfight with the rest of the gang. in fact, they seem cool enough that he plans to invite them along when he 'pays his respects' at the first World Summit after he breaks out

- Sixgun - a mtaman mercenary able to turn his six limbs into a variety of weapons, he's actually having doubts about his lifestyle, because while killing's the one thing he's good at and the money's great, its just not worth losing his family. problem is, no way the rst of the gang will let him walk away.
The Deathsquad have done work for both PHANTOM and SHADOW, as well as other groups.

Demolitia - an embittered yet brilliant mechnical engineer who flushed a romising career down the drain when she funnelled the profits of her work into the construction of a small fleet of supervehicles to demolish her hometown in Maine, before being brought to justice. for the record, Jack Washington III has expressed interest in hiring her to Spartacorp's work-release program, impressed as he is by her sheer pettiness.
Demolitia was a foe to the Sentinels, who stopped her destructive rampage.

The Denizen - an alien bio-weapon, the Denizen is a nigh-unstoppable living engine of destruction by brute strength, existing only to tear down everythig it sees. coming to earth by pure chance, it took a combined effort from the freedom League, Sentinels and most of Century Station's heroes to slow its rampage, before it was 'stopped' with a temporal decelerator, slowing it so immeasurably that the creature is in stasis (Daedelus estimates it will take 500 years for the creature to finish blinking). the creature is currently stored on gramarcy island until a way can be found to get rid of it without undoing the tempral stasis
The Denizen is actually a Preserver artifact, who was secretly directed earth by the Djinn to inflict chaos and fear on Earth.
Diva - a powerful telepath, con artist and gold digger, Cassandra McKay has spent her adult life bending men's minds to her will by powers, charisma and stunning looks. unfortunately, when she took revenge after one of her 'entourage' jilted her for another woman, said other woman turned out to be a high-ranking AEGIS official, and Cassandra went up the river.
Diva has drawn the attention of various criminal groups who want to headhunt her as an agent.
Dynosaurs - A team of cloned, gengineered and uplifted vaguely-humanoid dinosaurs, The Dynosaurs were more or less a PR stunt by the Genesys corporation (a subsidiarty of Grant Conglomerates), meant to lend heavy fire support to Century Station police services, who threw the Dynosaurs under the bus after the disastrous bungling of a hostage situation that left several dozen citizens dead or injured. Genesys washed their hands of the affair, and the mutant supersoldiers are now divided over where they go from here. the Dynosaurs consist of:

- Balthazar - a triceratops and team leader, Balthazaris stalwart and strong, but has a blind dedication to the law and loyalty to his creators, such that he favors serving his time like a good soldier, ad forego any attempts to clear their names

- Desdemona - a velociraptor and the teams melee specialist/scout, Desdemona wants to bust out, take revenge on those who screwed them over, then hunt wild and free like the predator she is

- Orlando - apatosaurus and demoltions. Orlando's on the fence, recognizing they've been screwed, but their escaping now would doom the rest of Genesys' dinomutants to being put down

- Iago - T-Rex, frontline fighter. tough as a rock, about as bright, and will revert to instincts without the others to help him focus. he is interested in Desdemona's urges for revenge and would like to subscribe to her pop-up book

- Portia - Ankylosaur, heavy weapons. the team's den mother, her concern for the rest of the team keeps her from supporting a jailbreak. if shechanges her mind though, she votes to break for Isla Sorna/nublar and forget the humans entirely
The Dynosaurs were never intended to work; they were just test animals used to test cloning technology supplied by SHADOW and how it would work with non humans. The fact that SHADOW released a giant mutated Allosaur on Japan shortly after the Dynosaurs debut went unnoticed by most.

Epoch - a sworn foe of time travellers and magicians alike, Epoch is a time travelling sorcer of considrable power, entirely obsessed with a prophecy that claims that he shall rule the world and usher in a new age of magic, but will be slain by his greatest enemy soon after. Epoch is so obsessed with his 'destiny' that he can't see how far he's fallen, from heights of power to being little more than a jumped up serial killer.
Epoch may be disappointed to find out that the part about him being slain after bringing the golden age was falsified by the Praetorian, who knew it would drive the driven Epoch to become a villain and thus nullify the prophecy altogether. Praetorian is a bit of a dick like that.
Eyespy - a common crminal cyborg, eyespy's cyber-eyes are tricked out with just about every modification one can think of, from x-ray vision to shooting lasers from his eyes. naturally, being in prison means that he's effectively blind, so he co-operates just for the chance to see again. of course, once said eyes are back online, he's gonna bust outo of there
Eyespies high tech eyes are the handiwork of the Foundry, and one of their most impressive endeavors ever.
Fat cat - one of century stations more successful criminal financier's and info-brokers, Fat Cat's rumored origins are numerous, having claimed to be everything from a joker to an alien to a mutant housecat. but, whatever his background, Fat Cat has his finger on Century station's pulse, and while his rivals have sent him up the river, he intends to sell them out in turn to secure his freedom
Unknown to many, Fat Cat was an non mutated cat before becoming a crime boss in Century Station. Even more incredible was even before his uplifting Fat Cat was a criminal; engaged in numerous mysterious crimes which were thwarted by a group of heroic rodents (and a housefly), known as the Rescue Rangers. The Rangers still try and stymie Fat Cat, but are in over their head now that he's a humanoid.
Faultline - an incredibly powerful DNAscendent with powers of vibration and geokinesis, Faultline is utterly addicted to his powers, his career made entirely of destroying famous landmarks or holding cities for ransom.
Faultline is a foe to the SLJ for his numerous attacks on landmarks. He also ran afoul of Ben Tennyson and SWORD when he attacked Mt. Rushmore, unaware of the secret SWORD/Plumber base underneath it.

the Fearless - a trio of alien freedom fighters against the Stellar Khanate, forced to take refuge on Earth, and had stolen high tech equipment and materials to repair their ship. the reason Alpha prime hasn't had them deported yet is because they've been very good at covering their origins. the three members of the team are:

- Liberator - is pretty sure he can bust out of here in another 2-6 weeks, and wll likely stage a mass jailbreak in the process while freeing those he feels have been wrongfully accussed

- relentless - an immortal swordslor, Relentless has realized just how badly they've screwed up here, and wants to make amends. and, if he can't go home, will be more than happy to become another of earth's superheroes

- Bravo - a Lor Mentat, Bravo blames his own gung ho attitude for getting the team caught in the first place, and is realizing that same attitude has also nearly gotten them killed too many times. as such, he's seeing the prison psychiatrist to get this dealt with
Assuming they can get Liberator to cool his heels, SWORD will likely arrange the freedom of the Fearless.
Firefly - a former Spartacorp janitor, J.D. Thompson stole an experimental battlesuit and swore revenge when he found out they were firing workers on the verge of pension. since then, he's become something of a robin hood figure, hitting only spartacorp holdings, stealing their money, but keeping only enough to live on and maintain his suit. the rest was given to charity, the church (anonymously), and people he felt had a bum deal, before he was finally arrested. over 60 and having time to think, if he gets out, Firefly plans to go straight and stick to helping people
During his criminal career, Firefly befriended fello robin hooesque villain Lady Blue, and worked together several times. Blue thinks of Firefly like a second father, and was very upset by his capture, even attempting to break him out. Ironically, Firefly himself convinced her to stop, citing his desire to go straight when he gets out. Lady Blue reluctantly agreed and left.

Flamebait - a computer technician, Simon Strane was also a vitriolic blogger and internet forum troll before one of the people he outraged decided to bite back by mailing him a bomb. anyone else would have been killed. simon strane drew his joker-ace, his body erupting in perpetual, steel-melting flames. his miserable rage given physical form, Flamebait (as quickly dubbed by MERLIN) proceeded to go on a rampage, swearing to "make them all pay."
The bomber was actually the villainous Sock Puppet, who used his mind control powers to force others to construct and send the bomb.

The Fun bunch - a supervillain team of psychotic killers with an 'evil circus freakshow' theme, the Fun Bunch have terrorized the continental united states for decades, with exactly 10 members at all times. when one dies, another appears to replace them in a frighteingly short amount of time. the Fun Bunch's current roster is"

- Heckler - the traditional leader of the Fun Bunch, the Hecler has seen multiple incarnations across the team. the current heckler is pretty much Joker as een in The Dark Knight, a charismatic showman with an expertise in terror and a penchant for sharp objects

- Cane & Able - the animal trainers, Cane and Able are able to assume animal forms and control minds, and are best described as a BDSM version of seigfreid and Roy, forcing innocent bystanders to act like vicious beasts

- Doctor bones - the india rubber man', Doctor bones is the longest lived of the Bunch, and is an ambush predator, sneaking off on his own to pick off his helpless prey one-by-one.

- Jojo Farenheit - the firebreather, Jojo appears to be little more than the stereotypical drunken hobo, until after a pull he lets loose a gout of fire hot enough to liquify steel in seconds. Jojo is the bunch's 'new guy', and anonymous letters addressed to him in the prison mail have implied that the Bunch replenish their ranks through kidnapping and the performance of some profane ritual.

- Punch & judy - the clowns, Punch and Judy are a pair of tough as nails brawlers who fight each other almost as much as their enemies, infighting that marks them as having the highest turnover rate in the bunch

- Sigmund Roid - the strongman, 'Roid's a joker-ace whose body is a grotesque parody of extreme bodybuilding and 90's era comic book art. Roid is also a bully, going after the weakest looking people he can find and cruelly toying them to death with hs great strength

- Sticky pete - the human fly, Sticky Pete is able to crawl walls an ensnare his foes by the glue-like substance he gives off in place of sweat or spit. curiously, Pete seems to be the only member of the bunch to express remorse for their actions

- Twinkletoes - true to her nature as the fat lady, Twinkletoes is a morbidly obse, superstrong latex 'fetish model' while giving off a distubing vaneer of perky freindliness and. worse yet, Twinkletoes is a gravity controller as well, keeping herself light as a eather while crushing those out of reach of her cripppling 'hugz' under their own magnified weight
The Fun Bunch are the creation of Mr. Hoppy, who empowered the first ten and taught them the ritual to transfer their souls into new hosts. The Fun Bunch also worked with Fear Master, but even he was too creeped out by them and fired them from his circus (think about that for a second.)

Galahad - an immortal hero, physical paragon and adventurer, Galahad has almost always been nothing but a shining exemplar of truth and justice. that is, until he was captured and mind-controlled into thinking he was a supervillain named blackguard. although the mind control broken and proven, Galahad pled guilty to his 'crimes' at his trial, honestly believing that if he were a true hero, he wouldn't have been controlled in the first place. his being sent to Gramercy is the result of certain people making sure that Galahad will spend his term where he can do the most good (Security Cheif Ling has put Galahad in B-block as a trustee, and is not subject to any power dampeners)
Prior to being brainwashed, Galahad was a friend to Star Knight, recognizing she was the reincarnation of his old friend. He also tried to help Sir Gawain acclimate with the modern world, with little success.

Grim Harbinger - a self-described 'one man psychic hotline' to the criminal underworld, Harbinger's used his numerous psi-powers to the benefit of other crooks (with a specialty in precognitions), and this thid party apprach served him well, until some former clients sold him up the river to save their butts
Harbinger had a professional rival to Lady Tarot, and was a foe to Foreshadow (albeit not directly), In truth, it was because of Foreshadow's meddling that his clients got caught and sold him out.
Harrier - an ace, Stuart Suycott's a kid whose first manifestation of his supersonic flight left him with a lasting fear of heights, his powers stallinng if he goes higher than 500 feet. however, htis low ceiling has allowed him to develop the precise, ground-hugging acrobatic flight style thats become his trademark. unfortunately, his attempts at being a high-speed courier got him in trouble and a three-year stint at gramercy. time will tell if this scares him straight, or of this is the first of many stays in the big house
A minor foe to Johnny Rocket, Harrier may join the Claremont Academy if he does end up going straight, though the SHADOW Academy also has their sights set on him.

Hazmat - a hazmat cleanup worker, Arliss Core was horribly mutated during a particularly nasty cleanup, transforming him into a walking, rampaging radioactive inferno driven berserk by constant pain. cutting a swath of destruction across the southwest before being brought down by a team of AEGIS super-agents, and as part of his sentencing, is required to wear a armored containment suit, which while blocking off his powers, has the side effect of deadening his pain, making him bitter and incedibly violent. instead of a font of mindless rage
Hazmat was also a foe of Ymir the Radioactive Viking, who helped AEGIS bring him down.

Headsman/Bloodreaver - a notorious magic-powered serial killer, it was recently confirmed that headsman's powers indeed come from his enchanted Axe, bloodreaver, but it was also discovered that bloodreaver is a sentient weapon. in a contraversial descision, Bloodreaver is the first enchanted weapon to be tried and convicted in a court of law
Bloodaxe is actually a creation of the late archmage Archimago, and has had numerous owners prior to the Headsman.
Kisentite - a rocklike alien and Lorspace Ranger assigned to earth to be partner to Alpha Prime or Star Knight, Ur-Ku-Si turned out to be as corrupt a cop as they come, extorting a hefty cut from earth and alien crooks alike. however, when his crimes were exposed, his prodigious strength, fighting ability and kinetic energy aura were no match for the two heroines.
Kisentite is presently being held in Gramercy till he can be shipped out to Lorspace by SWORD.
Lioness - an immortal british FISS heroine whose illustrious career dates back to WW2, Portia Kellington was a heroine without a cause, an aimlessness which had cost her when she was lured into a battle with 4 ex-nazi supervillains, two of which she wound up killing, only to be arrested, tried and imprisoned herself in a gross miscarriage of justice, that from all appearances, she attacked and murdered 4 Thulian citizens on their American vacation. And as she sits and stews in her prison cell, the knowledge that she was so easily duped has not sat well with Lioness' depression [NOTE: in the book, this character is dubbed Britannia. name changed as we have more than a few Britannias already)
Actually both stories are correct: Kreuzritter sent four of his super agents to Lioness with the intent to provoke her into killing them. This was revenge for all the times Lioness had opposed Kreuzritter during the war.
Megasaur - colossal, eyebeam shooting serpentman and self-proclaimed "God-King of the Lemurian Primordium", whose unsuccessful attempt to conquer Mexico was thwarted by the Freedom League, and his confinement has resulted in the Initiates of the Hidden Coil establishing a prescence in Century Station, plotting to have their God-King released.
Megasaur is actually the sole result of the Preservers messing with Serpent Men DNA. After seeing the results, they sealed Megasaur and instead focused on uplifting humanity.
Middleman - once thought an urban legend, the Middleman is a shapeshifting con man who who has fleeced just about everybody for the past 25 years. Middleman is currently doing solitary life sentence in C-Block, because there's over 100 inmates out in the rest of the prison who want to pay back his 'service' with a shiv in the ribs. Security Cheif Ling is also investigating any connection between middleman and the urban legend called "Mister Zero."
Middleman is actually a Mr. Zero copy who was exposed to some Omlevex and mutated into his own entity, losing the duplicating powers but retaining his shapeshifting, he decided to become a con man.
Mire - Originaly from Louisiana, Mire (a joker-ace of living mud) eventually made his way north and became one of the minnesota's most notorious outlaws, and has a grudge with Rustbelt. however, Mire's turned himself in after a gang of bounty hunters tracked down and threatened his rather extensive family. Mire has made no secret that when he gets out, he will go after those who dared hurt his family
Honestly, even Rustbelt felt the bounty hunters pulled a dick move in threatening his kin, and has visited his family several times to make sure they are okay after their ordeal.
Obzelon - a powerful necromancer, Obzelon's MO was to kill magicians and take their dead memories before he was stopped by the Covenant. his imprisonment is to get around whatever necromantic spells will go off upon his death (such as probable lichdom)
Obzelon is marked for death by the White Council, who have attempted to smuggle several mages into Gramercy Island to take him out. Unfortunately, since WC mages are poisonous to tech, several minor breakouts have occurred when their presence disrupts the tech holding other criminals in bondage.

Octagon - the result of a generations long eugenics experiment to induce godlike powers, Octagon has strength and stamina similar to that of Doc Steele, but each time he dies, he comes back to life with additional powers.
Octagon is a foe to Divinos, and purposefully attempts to end every battle with his death to make himself stronger for the next fight. Also, despite the lofty goals of his breeders, Octagon is just a super powered thug who wants to use his powers for personal gain.

Pantagruel - demonic looking Joker-ace serial killer and cannibal, styling himself after rabelais' famous literary monster/gentleman
The Church of Seven Thunders is convinced Pantagruel is the anti-Christ, and have petitioned for the death penalty for him several times.
The Prince of Century Station - Carter Downright, wealthy man about town, billionaire playboy philanthropist, and secret financeer bent on using his staggering wealth to fund numerous superhero causes. framed for fraud by one of the middleman's schemes, between his reputation and wealth, he should be out in six months
The Prince is an old friend to Doc Steele and a backer to the Silber Agency.

Red Raptor - an ultraviolent egomanical grandstanding maniac, Raptor red (superhuman martial artist with energy claws was a member of the Centurions until he was kicked out for his cruelty and grandstanding, and wound up in the stir soon after
Raptor intends to join the Circus Maximus or Xtreme! When he gets out, seeing it as perfect for his attitude.

Redline - An experimental android built by Gordon Technology Unlimited, it was meant for deep space exploration before it was stolen, and repurposed as a high speed smash and grab artist. disabled by Calamity Jane and local hero speedmetal, Redline is beeing kept at gramercy until GTU can win their court case to have said property returned
Spartacorp was behind Redline's theft and corruption (With some help from Dr. Wily, who has experience with this sort of thing.), Spartacorp is attempting to block GTU's attempts to get the bot back with red tape and corruption.
The Regulators -not to much a team as a trio of supers sharing an apartment, the regulators wound up walking into a SHADOW/PHANTOM meeting. several energy blasts later, the trio stood victorious and were arrested for breaking CS vigilantism laws. the 'membership' of the regulators is:

- Gearz - Roddy Duncan has the distinction of being australia's first combat cyborg, who'd gotten his arm replaced after he'd gotten it blown off while trying to defuse a land mine in east timor. he expected something sleek and unobtrusive, instead he got an oversized swiss army knife of a limb more suited for some kinda killbot. since coming to gramercy though, roddy's come to love his arm all the same, and won't leave gramercy without it

- Integrity - MirandaDalias is a muckraking investigative tabloid reporter whose stories have a habit of destroying peoples lives, a habit she's trying to break. she's also a closest telepathic metaman. she blames roddy and gearz for landing her in prison, but on the plus side, she's getting a book deal outof it, and some of the scandal rags she freelances for are trying to get her released

- roger Blaster - is actually an alien cyborg posing as a joker, and is theequivalent of a college grad who decides to go touring eurpe before coming home and getting a real job. as such, he fails to grasp the gravity of his situation, and regards his prison stay as we would learning our flight's been delayed
The Regulators are currently being examined by AEGIS for potentially joining their Suicide Squad, a taskforce made after the breakout to hunt down and kill the villains of the Cooler.
Runaway - a mutant street urchin with speed to rival johnny Rocket, Runaway was caught during an AEGIS raid on a Gene Nation cell.
Johnny honestly feels sorry for the girl, and has visited her several times in prison, attempting to help her reform. If he succeeds, he may get a new sidekick out of the deal.
Savage fury - college student sergio molinari was mutated into a hulking brute by a malfunctioning physics experiment conducted by his rommate, which got him expelled, disowned, and eventually a drunken brawl that destroyed the bar and put the newly dubbed Savage fury in Gramercy Island since the prison's opening. he'll be out in two years, but unfortunately, prison's hardened him and he'll be going full supervillain from hereon out
Savage Fury has already made friends in the Crime Union, who eagerly anticipate his release.

Scalibrius - An archdevil from the chinese hell, Scalibrius the repentant is a Risen devil, a demonic entity weary of evil and looking to become a force for good, petioning Mister Hoppy to be sent to earth. the lagomorphic luciferian agreed to this (and has a bet with Mister Infamy on wether scalibrius can achieve his redeption), and placed certain rules upon the feind that will protect him from hell's reprisal so long as he obeys them. For this reason, Scalibrius is currently doing 100 years for shoplifting, which may be extended to 1000 years for the murders he confessed to after his arrest and questioning by police, pending cold case investigation. what scalibrius does not know is that he's inspired his former minions, who are presently looking for ways to bust him out of the joint, without violating the laws of man or hell in the process
There is actually a movement to get Salibrius out on good behavior. Led by, of all people, Divinos. Who visited the demon in prison and, sensing his sincerity and consulting with Zauriel to discover there is precedent for it, wants to help Scalibrius in his endeavors. If Divinos is successful, he plans to invite Scalibrius into the Patriots.
Seamount - aquatic water controlling eco terrorist with ties to zero latitude
Often a foe to Siren.
Shatterhand - a high ranking member in Gene Nations american network with a destructive touch, Shatterhand's cell ratted him out for clemency in the wake of the "Freshman terror" event
Shatterhands is also a foe to the Tomorrow Society. When he gets out, he plans to join PHANTOM out of spite.
The Slaughterhouse Seven: one of the most powerful and deadly supervillain teams of the past decade, the Slaughterhouse Seven were each villains nasty enough on their own to be imprisoned in the Cooler prior to when they all first met during the Breakout, and since joined forces for a multinational terror spree that required multiple hero teams to bring them in for justice

- Colonel Chaos - a renegade AEGIS supersoldier, Colonel Chaos was created in the same experiments that made Apex, and was even a member of the Centurions before he went rogue. a paragon of physical ability, it's his monstrous will that keeps the Slaughterhouse Seven together. Ironicly, one of the things that's keeping him off of death row is that his blood may hold the key to undoing Apex's life-threatening condition.

- Crazyface - a freakish insane monster of a joker ace, the best way to describe Crazyface is "tazmanian devil played grimdark", a bloodthirsty incoherent whirlwind of carnage, who lives only to destroy and consume. in fact theonly 'leash' the seven have on Crazyface is that he apparently thinks Colonel Chaos is God.

- Doubletalk - a two-headed Joker-ace, Doubletalk's a violent pychopath, super-tough and both heads can fire devastating sonic screams and a former member of Gene Nation before joining forces with Colonel Chaos

- Headstrong - a NAscendant, Headstrong is pretty much a Smashface wannabe. unfortunately, he's a very strong smashface wannabe

- Psychotrope - a flamboyantly sadistic psionist, Psychotrope is another scion of the Medina family, whose horrible actions are a a way to get out from the gigantic shadow of his more powerful and infamous cousin, Menton

- Serpentina - a Scion of the serpent Queen herself, Serpentina has acted as her mothers champion and agent of murder and destruction. unlike the others, she has no wish to escape.... at least not until she has a chance to meet and mate with Megasaur, and achieve apotheosis so she might shed her human skin once and for all.

- Warmonger - an extradimensional, self-aware technomagical war machine, Warmonger was sent to earth to scout it for invasion, and has ruled Earth too hostile for invasion. since then, it chose to remain on earth and slaughter alongside the Seven, mostly because it CAN...
The Slaughterhouse Seven have battled the Freedom League, the patriots, and the Sentinels prior to imprisonment.

Solar Scarab - a mystic, light controlling egyptian hero, its small surprise Solar Scarab's career was marked with frequent run-ins with SHADOW, at least until it became clear he was a raging egomaniac and sellout, on top of his tendency towards lethal force. but, despite his victories and a crack PR team, his 15 minutes of fame ran out and he was forced out of the public eye... that is, until he snapped and in a fit of rage, murdered the next superheroic flavor of the month. sentenced to 20 years for temporary insanity, and while somewhat remorseful for his actions, intends to bust out of prison and join up with the pantheon
Many originally believed Solar Scarab was the reincarnation of the silver age Scarab, but in truth he was empowered by a ritual Overshadow conducted on him in secret, with the hopes of defaming his old rival. The attacks by SHADOW were just to inform the deception. Of course, now that he's been exposed, Overshadow has dropped the whole thing and forgot about his creation. Solas Scarab knows nothing of this.
The Terrible Siphon - horatio grimley. janitor, with a part time job as human guinea pig for less than ethical concerns. until one of the experiments he was in left him with the power to steal the powers of other supers. with deusions of grandeur, the newly dubbed siphon, tried to be a criminal mastermind, but instead touched off a gang war that was one of the worst in the city's history. for his part in events, siphon got a sentence of 50 years, but having cut a deal with the prison research staff, he'll be out in 5
Siphon has been targeted by the Foundry, who want to study his powers and use them to upgrade Keres.
Spinnerette - a joker with spider-like abilities and countenance, Spinnerette is an amoral, sociopathic serial killer who thinks herself much like what she resembles. Spinnerette, if she escapes, has made no secret that she will hunt down and consume the two pretenders to her name
Spinnerette may be related to another villain known as the Spider Witch, who is another Spider joker and mystic in Australia.
Stalwart - a fallen superhero (FISS package), Stalwart went on a brutal crime-fighting campaign on the villains behind the ambush that wiped out his team, the ultranauts, although since his capture and imprisonment he recognizes the disaster was as much his own fault, finally realizing his attitude as a megalomaniacal control freak. truly repentant and disgraced, he'll make parole in about ten years
There is actually a grass roots movement to release Stalwart early, though even if its successful he will probably willingly fill out sentence.
Stratosfear - a wind controlling mutant, jared stradler had a psychotic break when his family was killed by a tornado, prompting a destructive rampage through the american midwest
A foe to Captain Thunder and Siren.
Triskelion - former interpol agent naomi desjardins was chosen by a secret order of magicians to become a supernatural protector and monster hunter. and to her credit, she made some of Century Station's worst neighborhoods safer before she was arrested for vigilantim, resisting arrest and violation of the CS superhero registration laws (she'll be out in 3 years). Ironicly, the mystic wards used to keep her powers inactive during her incarceration have tipped her off to the labyrinth's involvement
Triskelion has worked with the Covenant and White Lotus in the past, and is also a foe to the Black Hand and Pact.
Twilight - a darkness controller, Twilight's made his career as a theif, spy and sabatour for hire, in addition to his side career as an international art theif. despite interrogation and the advice of his lawyers, twilight refuses to divulge the location of his 'personal collection'
Was a foe to Raven prior to incarceration.
Undine - no relation the Bestiary's femme fatale, Undine's power is to control water and become a living water elemental. a thrillseeker whose antics have gotten hundreds injured, Undine's first stretch in the joint is twisting her to a foul temper, and her crimes will be far worse when she gets out
A foe to Siren.
Workshop - a team of freelance hardware experts who'd set themselves up as an independent alternative to the foundry for illegal technology services (IE: arms dealing). ironicly, it wasn't the foundry who shut them down, but a client who got caught and squealed.

- Hairtrigger - Mike "mad Dog" MacCafferty is a gunsmith, gun-toting lowlife and urban mercenary, often using the latter to drum up business for the Worshop, and of course did all the violent grunt work such as deliveries and collecting from deadbeats.

- Overdrive a former Mechanic and getaway driver, Boris Grickle turned wholly to engineering after a specacular, nearly fatal crash. at this point, all he wants to to just get back in a machine shop.

- Archimedes a flat out supergenius, Archimedes has the talent and general hatred of the world at large to be recruited by the Foundry
When they do get out, they will most likely be set up as the Century Station directors of the Foundry, who are impressed by them staying under his radar as long as they did.

Xenomancer - an alien wizard, Xenomancer claims to be the dark lord of his home reality, who came to our world to add it to his domains, before getting his butt handed to him by the Demon Rider. Xenomancer plans to return to his reality and bring back a massive invasion out of pure spite, unaware it has since been consumed by the Terminus
Xenomancer is also a foe to Adrian Eldrich and the Covenant. When he discovers the fate of his world, he will likely join the Pact.

Zeerod Quad - a self-duplicating thug for hire

Minor foe to Raven.

I think it noteworthy that not only is the British government and Populace outraged by the imprisonment of one of their National treasures to the point where the British prime minister has had rather upset words with the president, but that the Royal Family has come out against it as well.

Not only that but several very High profile and very, VERY Powerful heros have also publicly spoken out about what they see as one fo the grossest misscarriages of justice in decades. The notion of a Heroine of Lionesses caliber being railroaded by an ambitions prosecutor, clueless defence attoreney, Star struck jury and a judge half@ssing it in his last case before retirement has outraged a number of personages.

People with names like Doc Steele, Divinos, Protonik and The American Sentinel among a few. They and a few others have had private discussions about breaking her out if the system doesnt fix its mistake soon. The only thing thats kept them from acting is that all of them in one form or another respect the law, and the justice system, and cant quite come to an agreement on how long to give the appeals process before acting.

The Thulian government has also expresses their deeepest regrets over this debacle, horrified as they were that Nazi war criminals had been insinuated within the citizenry

the 2 surviving criminals who survived the Lioness' attack have since had their citizenship revoked, their properties and finances seized, and been thrown to the wolves of the international criminal court.

His majesty, King Ernst Rauchenberger, better known to the western world as Kreuzritter, issued statements that while the western wrld views Thulian culture and politics as 'enlightened Nazi', he has gone to great lengths to ensure that his nation will never be ruled by the Adolf Hitler's legacy of hate and madness, and has vowed the Lioness will be regarded as a heroine for ridding the world of two monsters who had escaped justice for too long

Johnny Rocket: Well I'm impressed.

Lady Liberty: Don't tell me you bought that crap.

Johnny: No, that he managed to keep a straight face while spewing that crap.

Siren: Does he even have a face?

Re: The Crinoverse 2 (Enemies of San Angelo)

Postby Crinos » Tue May 29, 2012 11:00 pm

enemies of San Angelo

Once again, All these guys are situated out of Los dios.

Anarchy: A team of politically motivated super terrorists, Anarchy seeks to bring down civilized society and go back to a more pastoral society. They have become more active since the Hero Act was signed in, and have actually gained some support among disenfranchised supers.

-Blaze:Jessalyn Chambers was awarded custody of his brother when they died in a car crash. Unknown to the judge, both she and her brother are metamen. Blaze used her fire powers to torch some bullies picking on her little brother. The pair went on the lam, ending up in Los Dios, and eventually joining Anarchy.

-Blight: Dr. Miles Dawson worked for a Government lab studying bio weapons when an accident exposed him to the wild card virus, turning him into a corpse like Joker Ace with the power to infect people with deadly plagues and wither nearby plant life. Losing faith in the Government, Blight formed Anarchy. He also hates superheroes, who he considers tools of the man.

-Harpy: Celia Briggs was kidnapped by an archmage of the Pact and transformed against her will into a monstrous half bird monster. Intending her to be a servant and assassin, Celia instead broke free and killed the wizard. Deranged and bloodthirsty, Harpy is the most vicious of Anarchy, and hates magice users most of all.

-Haze: Terry Chambers is Blaze's younger brother, a metaman with the power to manipulate and turn into smoke. Haze is very loyal to Blight and his philosophy and idolizes him.

-Quartz: Phil Hardin was a Los Dios University professor of Geology who broke out when he was caught in a rock slide during a rock climb. Transforming into a super strong being of pure Quartz. Losing his job, his drivers license, and his normal life, Quartz was an easy recruit for Blight.

The Scions: An offshoot family of the Psions, The Scions are a second family of psychics led by a manipulative Grandfather. Also like the Psions, the Scions feel they are superior to normal people and seek to create a new generation of Psychics through careful breeding.

-Professor Klein: Hiram Klein was a cousin to Professor Psion and a colleague who supported his views on eugenics and the human mind. Both professors agreed to create their own families of psychics, and eventually bring them together in order to create the ultimate psychic. While Klien is a slightly stronger psychic (Possession telekinesis as well as mind control and telepathy), he is Psions elder by several years, and confined to a wheelchair.

-Panacea Cassandra Klein has the powers of healing, empathy, psychic paralysis and Astral projecting. Because of her Empathy, she is the kindest and most caring of her siblings, though she still feels she's better than normal people.

-Impulse:The oldest male, Jason Klein is a telekinetic, and more outgoing and fun than his big sis. He is also secretly dating the daughter of the mayor of Los Dios.

-Vamp: The bratty middle child, Angelique Klein is a psychic vampire who uses her beauty to twist people to her while as opposed to her powers. She is also known for trolling Rapists, then using her powers to drain their strength to knock them out. when she is properly fed, she can reach superhuman levels of strength.

-Seer: One of two twins, Sean Klein is a telepath with the power of clairvoyance. He is the team coordinator. He is also very cold and jaded with others.

-Jaunt: Paul Klein is Seer's twin brother, and is the team teleporter. Like his counterpart in the Psions, Jump, Jaunt is very shy and unsure of himself.

-Covert: Donovan Klein is he son of Professor Klein, taken away from his father by his mother. He enlisted in the army and died in Desert Storm. When he did die, his power of astral projection emerged, leading to him to become a wandering spirit. He eventually found his way to the Scions, and became their ally.

Chill: James Hiyoshi is a high ranking member of the Los Dios chapter of the Yakuza, he is also an Ace who is a living heat sink, able to freeze with a touch and devour nearby heat. He is infamous for nearly killing Frank Meltzer in a fight, nearly freezing the Joker Ace to death before he got a taste of his own medicine when Winter of Love froze him solid. Chill has since vowed revenge on Holly.

Chrome: Dr.Kimberly Chase was a doctor studying metapowers and superhumans. Wanting to learn how to induce them herself, she took a tissue sample from the young meta Mettle and used it to create a formula that turned her into living metal. Unfortunately, the pain of the transformation drove her temporarily insane and sent her on a rampage. That, along with her illegal experiments, cost her her job, so she became the villainess Chrome to get the funding to continue her research.

Deadweight: Charley Stankowitz was always a bully, but when he gained the power to generate an intense gravity field around himself, he became even worse. He used this power to terrorize much of Los Dios, until he ran afoul of Frank Meltzer, who sent him running with his tail between his legs.

Dr. Talos and Prometheus: Prometheus is a super computer created by the Foundry as a back up to ECHIDNA in case it ever broke up. Prometheus went rogue, and decided to compete with Talos in the illegal tech black market. As a proverbial thumbing of its nose, Prometheus created Dr. Talos, a sophisticated robot to act as his face man. Dr. Talos is unaware that he is a robot, believing himself to be a scientist in power armor.

Eradicator: A former IRA terrorist, Connor Fitzgerald moved to America with his wife after he got out of prison for terrorism. Becoming a small time criminal, he was mortally wounded and left for dead following a police shoot out. Discovered by the Foundry, he was rebuilt into an obviously inhuman cyborg. Horrified at what he has become, he uses his powers to secretly protect and get money for his wife, who thinks he is dead.

The Ferret: Freddy Fellows was a small time thief who was mutated into a humanoid rodent during a botched robbery of Gentech industries. Granted superhuman agility, the master thief is still a coward at heart, and avoids encounters with super heroes.

Firefly: Claire Hanson is a fire manipulating metaman who came to believe her power was the source of alien experimentation after a session of regression hypnotherapy. In truth, it was a secret Harbinger front that finds metahumans and brainwashes them into hating aliens. As Firefly, she is a freelance criminal and part time Harbinger.

Glamour: A deformed metaman, Devon McPhee was an orphan and test subject of the John Smith Society who gained illusion powers, which eventually allowed him to disguise his features and become handsome looking. Convinced he is a mythical changeling, he has begun stalking a super model, and attacking those who wrong her.

Inazuma: Another Yakuza metaman, Kevin Nakagawa is a metaman with electricity manipulating powers. A nice person, he fights for the Yakuza out of family loyalty and a sense of duty.

Kaleidoscope: Gillian McKay was a scientist working at Omnitech steel on a laser project, when she was accidentally shot with a laser during an attack by the House of Serpents. Gaining light manipulating and duplication powers, Gillian decided to become a super thief to pay her bills after her car got totaled.

Mastermind: A psychic Ace, Jeremy Graves was originally the super hero Mind Master, but began to become disenfranchised with how futile fighting crime was becoming, and began to use her powers to brainwash criminals. Becoming paranoid and driven, the other Los Dios heroes approached him about what he was doing, but he became angry and went underground, redubbing himself Mastermind. He is now putting together an army of brainwashed servants to help him control the world as he see's fit.

Pelegro: A former circus acrobat, Eduardo Perez turned to crime to help pay for his little sisters Diabetes medicine. In addition to his acrobatic skills, Pelegro is incredibly lucky, which he attributes to a "Guardian Angel." To whit, he donates some of what he steals to a local church.

Phosphorus: A creation of Spartacorp, headed by Stephen Bow (AKA Photon), Jeannie Chen was "accidentally" exposed to a chemical intended to turn her into a scaled down, more controllable version of WIllie Pete. While she was powerful, she was not controllable, becoming mad with pain she went on a rampage and came into opposition by Dynamo, who was nearby. She is currently incarcerated and being studied by the John Smith Society.

Quick: Phillip Lemasters was a Spartacorp exec who was always in a hurry and always nasty about it. During a blackout, he electrocuted himself, activating his super speed powers. Quitting his job, he decided to become a super villain.

The Ram: Harold Baker was a Motorcycle mechanic who was subjected to the DNascent process with several gang members, turned into a joker with super strength and a pair of horns. rejected from his skinhead gang, he became a full on costumed super villain. He is one of the few villains in los Dios strong enough to go toe to toe with Frank Meltzer.

Reflec: Brian Norcott first manifested his ability to manifest repulsion fields to fend off an attack by his drunken abusive (in more ways than one) father. He ignored his powers for years, until he got in a fight with his wife (who wanted him to be more open about his past), which led to him hitting and knocking her out. In a blind panic, he kidnapped their daughter and went on the lam, becoming a costumed villain to make ends meet. Reflec isn't a bad guy, he's just scared and suffering from many emotional scars from his traumatic childhood.

Riptide: A lost Atlantean, Riptide was abandoned and raised by Dolphins as a child. Convinced he is a lost Atlantean Prince, he became attracted to Nereid after seeing her on TV, and has attempted to woo her several times, bringing him into conflict with Magni. Riptide is a hydrokinetic.

Salvo: Emil Jorneau is an infamous French mercenary who specializes in fighting superhumans. His weapon of choice is a Foundry designed blaster with a variety of settings, designed to electrocute anyone who handles it besides Salvo.

Senora Del Oro: Isabella Del Oro was living in Los Dios when it was just a small town and a fort. The wife of a Spanish Landowner, Isabella's life change when Doctor Azoth came through the town one day. Impressed by the woman's desire to learn, he trained her in alchemy, which she used to kill her annoying husband and to escape the ignorant villagers when they came to hang her for witchcraft. She eventually used Alchemy to infuse herself with gold, becoming immortal as long as she kept up the infusions. Senora Del Oro has been a mysterious figure in Los Dios underworld, manipulating many villains to her whims.

Shatter:Leonity Romanovich was a former KGB super soldier with the power to open portals to the Mirror Zone, allowing him to trap people and objects and even energy there as long as he has a reflective surface on hand. He is presently being blackmailed by the Russian mob into becoming a supervillain to steal for them in order to keep his family safe. He is currently unaware that he can use the mirror zone to travel to parallel earths.

Speed Freak: An age old story: Jay Westmore had a promising career as an olympic class runner, when it was discovered he was a metaman with super speed. Jay discovered his hyper metabolism was killing him, and Mr. Matthews of Gentech gave him treatments that improved his health and supercharged his speed. In exchange, Jay has to do jobs for him as the villain Speefreak.

Wisp: Carter Feinberg was an electronic student when an explosion gave him the power to phase through matter, turn invisible, and disrupt molecules. Faking his death, he became a master spy and corporate thief, working for Spartacorp, the Labyrinth, Vancorp (before its fall), and Gentech.

Okay, tomorrow its either escape from Alcatraz, or the New Knights of the Round Table.

Hmm, that's a pretty cool line-up of baddies.

Due to his past efforts against the Foundry (not to mention his continuing efforts to make a Talos 2.0), I imagine Reinhardt has come into conflict with most of their agents in Los Dios. Unfortunately for them, his powers make him more than a match for most of them (see a fight with Eradicator where he shut down the man's cybernetic parts, effectively immobilizing him until he was wheeled away by other police officers.) He also has probably had issues with Dr. Talos and Prometheus.

Reinhardt also probably has a soft spot (as much as he can have one anyway) for Chrome, as the Inspector had worked with Dr. Chase to study metahumans in the past.

And you just know the Los Dios police officers who went back in time with the Doc had some sort of impact on Senora Del Oro's life.

Yeah, I am also surprised by all the good characters San Angelo has to offer.

Speaking of which, here's a little blast from the past. A supplement I last used during the breakout event.

Escape from Alcatraz

Unless otherwise noted, all the villain herein are incarcerated in Super Alcatraz.

The Hollywood All Stars: A super hero team based out of LA, the All Stars were actually a sham designed to capitalize on the popularity of super heroes (While also conducting less than legal "Side businesses" such as drug running and merc work). They were eventually found out and the team members incarcerated.

-White Dwarf: The actual leader of the Hollywood All Stars, Lincoln Blake is a little person with incredible intelligence and tech. On the team he portrayed himself as a mythical dwarf with "Mystical" tech. Bitter and hateful, his opinion of humanity lowered moreso by the fact his ruse lasted as long as it did.

-Nova: The apparent leader of the team, Kevin Mitchell was a mercenary working in the middle east who was granted FISS and energy manipulating powers when he stumbled onto an ancient temple to the Babylonian Gods and was chosen to be their champion. He promptly abandoned the temple and allowed it and its worshipers to be destroyed by the Nur Sect. Joining the All Stars under the pseudonym "John Armstrong", it was Nova's drug dealing and porn addiction that revealed the All Stars as the sham they are, in spite of an "evil Twin" defense White Dwarf had come up with to protect him.

-Red Giant: Scott Wilkinson was the son of a wealthy New England family and a former retired superhero who wanted Scott to stop wasting his life as a rich dilettante. Running away from home, he became a criminal when he manifested the power of super growth. As the All-star, he played the role of a Russian Superman and ex communist, which, like everything else about the group, was an utter sham.

-Pulsar: Daniel Price was a Senior in High School when he was kidnapped by Labyrinth agents and transformed into a Dnascendant with super spinning powers. Alienated by his friends and with bills piling up, he turned to crime, but was quickly caught and put on parole because there were few supers with spinning powers. White Dwarf gave him a new identity and backstory, saying his power came from a dying star on the edge of known space. When the All-Stars were revealed, it was revealed Pulsar violated his parole and he was jailed.

-Binary: Rebecca Swift thought she was signing up with AEGIS or the FBI, but in truth the young criminal justice student was brought into the House of Serpents. Modified via experiments she gained the power of self duplication. She was still working for the house of serpents when she was recruited by White Dwarf. Going by Binary, she pretended she could only make one duplicate, when in fact she can make up to six (With more and more each year, with no apparent upward limit.) When she was arrested along with the rest of the All-Stars, several of her dupes were secretly free, and may be the key of the All Stars eventual escape.

-Neutron: Brian Dennis was a IT guy when he was possessed by a digital entity from outer space. when the Sentinels defeated the entity, they did not know it had left a portion of its power with Dennis, giving him the power to shrink, fly, and fire energy blasts. A peeping tom and blackmailer, Neutron went down with the rest of his team.

Behemoth: A crashed alien, Behemoth is a super strong, aquatic brute with superhuman strength and limited intelligence. Behemoth was the brick that the Dehumanizer used as a bodyguard when he attacked ASTRO labs in the accident that gave Frank Meltzer his powers. In truth though, he is not an alien at all; He is a product of Bio Blitzkrieg, sent into space by Count Reich when he proved to difficult to control, and coming back to earth years later.

Couronne:An alien with vast energy manipulating powers, Couronne (Corona), landed in the French countryside years ago, and spent years wandering around France, being chased by a fanatical colonel who wanted her dead. Eventually she met Death Mask, who attempted to steal her vast powers for himself. It failed, but embittered Couronne against humanity, at which point she slaughtered the colonel who had chased her for so long and went on a rampage. Defeated by Divinos, she was originally imprisoned in Seventh Heaven, but was moved to Super Alcatraz after its destruciton.

The Eunuch:The former minion of The Queen Bee, the Eunuch is just that, a eunuch. Armed with an alien axe weapon and a serious leather fetish, he became a freelance minion for hire after Queen Bee cut him loose. Being a eunuch also renders him immune to most sexual effects and powers.

Eve N Steven: Eve and Steven Whimsy were a loving couple who used recreational drugs during sex. Unfortunately one night a bad batch of bluff caused them to merge into one entity with two minds. Unlike the Oddity (who was recently cured/ died, but more on that later), the experience is pleasurable for the two, as they have a background radiation of pleasure. Their Hermaphrodite form is unstable though, and they shift between male and female forms based on how masculine/feminine they act. Possessing enhanced charisma and regeneration (Due to giving off excesses of orgone energy), they began to seek a way to stabilize their form and became career criminals, seeing others as just tools to stabilize their gender (Sex was one of the strongest things that could manipulate their genders.) They are captured by AEGIS for sexual assault and other crimes and are in solitary at Super Alcatraz, stuck in male form.

The Foo Fighter: A lost Grigori explorer. The Foo Fighter crash landed in the Khanate near a black hand stronghold, he was quickly captured and forcibly indoctrinated into their ways. Brainwashed into a ruthless martial arts master by the Black Hand, he went solo after it was destroyed by a raid by the Tiger Squad, becoming a criminal in the US. The Foo Fighter speaks in a telepathic image based language similar to that of the Xenochicklets which (until recently) were employed by AEGIS. Foo Fighter was eventually beaten by Rumiko Tanaka in single combat, and incarcerated in Super Alcatraz. The Foo Fighter is eager for a rematch.

Hook & Crook: A pair of thieves operating through Europe, Natalie Wilsington (The rookie) and Nelson Green (The old pro) were a match made in Heaven (Sort of), when Natalie lost a hand during a job, the Foundry built her a high tech hook with various high tech weapons built in (Including a grapple and a poison reserve, among other things.) earning the name Hook. Crook has no powers, but is a skilled hand to hand fighter and wields a Shepherds crook with deadly accuracy. As Hook And Crook, their crime spree ended when they were caught by Interpol and sent to Super Alcatraz.

King Congo: A super intelligent ape, King Congo was created by Teleios the Perfect man because, hey, talking super ape. Escaping, he attempted to start an animal revolution by releasing all the animals in the Chicago zoo. After his incarceration, he writes numerous books and pamphlets about animal rights, sufficient that he has drawn the attention of the Dark Tribunal. In addition to enhanced strength and durability, Congo can psychically control animals.

Moe Mentum:The Blue Collar speedster, Murray Woloski was a cable repairman who released a techno genie from a cable box, and was granted three wishes: A million bucks (Deer antlers, obvious joke is obvious), a free can of beer whenever he wanted one, and the ability to do a days work in less than thirty seconds (Not counting beer breaks). The third wish gave him super speed, which he eventually used to become a super villain. Known for his practicality and no nonsense attitude, he is a favored lieutenant for mastermind villains due to his ability to keep other villains in line. He is a foe to Johnny Rocket, and has been put in jail several times, always getting out quickly for good behavior.

Mourner:: A pure Grief gestalt, Mourner is drawn to the deaths of people where he can mourn. He is also perfectly willing to CAUSE deaths where he can mourn, and his death touch has killed numerous heroes over the years. He has a deep respect and love for heroes, but believes he can give them "Worthy deaths." He attempted to do this to Megan Conner, and got a bump on his head and locked up in Super Alcatraz for his troubles.

La Nebulosa: Maria Gonzales was a child when she met Doctor Rune, who sensed her mystical potential and wanted to recruit her to the Covenant. Acting as a housekeeper to the Covenant chapterhouse in Millennium city, she was eventually kidnapped by a South American death cult for a sacrifice. After being rescued, she tried to cover up with a magical cloak which was activated by her mystic potential, dragging her to the Shattenwalt and warping her into the mystic villain La Nebulosa. She fought the Covenant and other local heroes before being caught and sent to Super Alcatraz. Powerless without her cloak, she is cellmates with Hook.

Primordius: A creation of Teleios the Perfect Man, he was an attempt to clone Prince Primeval, giving the master villain a direct son who could match his powers. Unfortunately the experiment went awry, and the resulting creature was a blob like abomination which escaped and became the villain Primordius. Motivated by his "fathers" desire to conquer the world, Primordius made no end of trouble till he was captured by Primeval's followers and turned to stone. Sent to Super Alcatraz, he woke up during the breakout, and escaped through the sewers during the confusion, having no interest in his fathers schemes. He is currently at large.

The Tin Man:A creation of the Foundry, Tin Man was designed to fight Divinos as a distraction while Talos raided Seventh Heaven for tech. Defeated and reprogrammed, Divinos donated the robot to a group of Canadian Loggers, where he eventually developed sentience and his own personality. When the logging company was bought out by Spartacorp, Tin Man was forced to flee and become a freelance villain. Initially imprisoned in the Vault, he as transferred to Super Alcatraz following the breakout, he will be out in a few years counting good behavior. Tin Man isn't a bad guy, and actually tried being a hero once (It didn't work out; he's to brutal and tough for any team outside of Bedlam City), and is actually a trustee at Super Alcatraz alongside Frank Meltzer.

WeatherVein: James Marsten is a weather manipulating metaman who was recruited by Prince Primeval for a scheme to conquer the world. His powers boosted to allow him to control weather on a global scale, the treatments ended up giving him a deadly brain tumor. Having a breakdown following learning about the tumor, he drifted from place to place, eventually ending up in Super Alcatraz from drunken disorderly conduct. The tumor in his brain is inoperable, but will not progress if he does not use his powers.

Prince Primeval: Probably the most well known and infamous prisoner ever seen at Super Alcatraz, Prince Primeval was one of the very first humans experimented upon by the Preservers (along with his long time rival Mastermind.) Primeval gained immortality, super strength and endurance, and the so called 'Power Primeval', which give him inhuman charisma and the power to manipulate the emotions of humans those not directly descended from him (which, considering his age, and his prolific breeding, means about one sixth of humanity is his descendants.) Primeval was brought down by a combination of the Patriots and Freedom League, and placed in Super Alcatraz. Once there, he used his inhuman charisma to create his own personal cult of personality, bringing all of the prisoners, and even the staff, under his sway. When the Breakout occured, he was already running the prison in secret, and already had his escape planned out. In spite of the best efforts of the Los Dios PD and a veritable army of supers, Prince Primeval escaped and was picked up by his followers, The so called Prime nation. He is currently at large, with numerous heroes attempting and failing to capture him.
