Winter Soldier Parallel in Freedom City?

So with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in theaters, I started wondering if there was a Winter Soldier-like character in Freedom City. To my knowledge there is not, in part because I don't think the Patriot ever had a Bucky-like sidekick in the first place. So has anyone created a Winter Soldier-like character for their Freedomverse? I know one way to make it work might be to use one of the members of the Allies of Freedom, given that they did lose some of their number duing the war.

I'd go with Eye of Vengeance (later Eye of Justice) from Freedom City: Iron Age. He's a teen hero who was captured and transformed into an amoral operative with cybernetic implants.
