Origin:

Illyana Rasputina was born in Russia in 2005 to Nickolai and Alexandria Rasputin. She was the third of three children. Alexandria, a child bride of a man fifteen years her elder, spread her three children over 16 years having her first, Piotr, when she was only sixteen and her last sixteen years later. As Illyana grew she never knew her brother Piotr. His name was not spoken in her house. She knew only that he had been a monster of some sort. It would not be until many years later that she would meet him for the first time. Their meeting did not occur until after Piotr joined, and briefly left, the X-Men. When Piotr did return he would find that his parents had disappeared leaving Illyana and Mikhail to be raised by their paternal grandmother, Elena. Despite their years apart, Illyana took to Piotr instantly finding something comforting in his great size and kindness. Their reunion would be short-lived, however, as Piotr’s stay was brief. He would leave after only a few weeks to once again help the X-Men and the world. Illyana could not understand why her brother was deserting her just as her parents had. She took the separation badly this event further reinforcing an already developing sense in her that anyone she became close to would abandon her. Unfortunately, this would not be the last time she felt the pain of loss.

In 2011 the course of Illyana’s life would be altered forever. It was then that Russian Mafioso Anatol Spichkin was murdered by rivals. After Spichkin’s death, her parents returned to her. Illyana, only six, did not understand why they had returned. The truth was that the Rasputins had been forced to flee their home. They feared that Spichkin would punish them for Piotr’s decision to leave his service for the X-Men. They had fled even deeper into the wilderness of Siberia eking out a meager existence. However, now with Spichkin out of the way they believed that the threat to their lives had ended.

Unfortunately for the Rasputins, Spichkin’s death left a void in the Red Mafiya criminal organization which a ruthless thug named Maxim Titov coveted. Titov saw the Rasputin children as a resource that he could use to take control of Spichkin’s former position in the Mafiya. Titov believed that the children were, or would become, mutants. He also knew that his onetime mentor Spichkin had used Piotr’s powers to his advantage. While Titov possessed a sort of low cunning, he lacked creativity and therefore decided to do exactly as Spichkin had done.

Maxim took his thugs and went to the Rasputin home. He demanded that Nickolai and Alexandria turn their children over to them. When they refused, Illyana was forced to watch as Titov ordered one of his men to kill her mother. Nickolai cried out and tried to lunge at Titov. He never made it, Titov shot Illyana’s father dead. One of Titov’s men grabbed Mikhail and threw him over his shoulder. Titov himself moved to grab Illyana. The girl, crazy with fear, manifested her mutant powers for the first time. A perfect circle of blue-white energy coalesced at her feet. The circle began to rise as Titov and his comrades stumbled back in fear. The Mafiya stood frozen as they saw that, below the glowing circle, the girl was gone, as if she was being erased by the progress of it up her body. When the circle had risen above her head it disappeared. Illyana Rasputina was gone.

Illyana awoke in strange land. She was confused by her surroundings. The weather here was warm, but moments before she had been in the middle of a cold Russian winter. She wandered until she was found by a man driving an ox cart. He spoke no language that Illyana recognized. What Illyana did not know was that she had been teleported across time and space. She now stood in 1395 just outside of Florence Italy. The man who found her was confused by the little girl in the strange clothes who spoke no Italian. He took her into Florence and turned her over to the city officials. These men did not know what to do with her, but soon a solution presented itself.

They argued about the girl’s origin. Some believed her to be a member of a traveling mummers group, others a gypsy, still a third man said it was clear that her family had been taken by the death and that she might be infected too. This last man had many listeners. These men were old enough to remember thousands dying covered in black spots just fifty years ago. Before a final decision was made, the door swung open; in the doorway stood Lucifer Belasco. As he moved into the room some men made signs of the cross and others the fig sign, but all stood back and made way. A murmur went up among them when Belasco spoke to the girl in what seemed to be her own tongue. Illyana understood the man and he assured her everything would be alright, but she could sense the unease in the other men and was unsure. Illyana’s instincts were quite accurate. A thousand tales floated around Belascol like Christ’s own halo. Some said he was two hundred years old, others he had come from the east and was a mysterious alchemist or sorcerer, while still others said he consorted with demons. One thing was not rumor: the man was fabulously wealthy and held influence in both Papal Rome and with the Albizzi family. Belasco spoke to the men saying that the girl was lost and that he was in need of a ward. He claimed the girl and the men of Florence were powerless to deny him. Belasco smiled at Illyana and even at six years old she thought that he was less pleased to get his way than he was that the others had been powerless to stop him. Belasco led Illyana from the city taking her to his estate near the sea.

Unbeknownst to Illyana, when she appeared in this time and place, Belasco had sensed her great power. Illyana was doubly blessed: she was both mutant and mystic. For it was not the genetic power that Belasco sensed, but the gift. Over the next several years, Belasco trained Illyana as his apprentice. Over that time, Illyana fostered mixed feelings about the sorcerer. Although he was the only person other than her grandmother who had not abandoned her, he was not a kind man. He treated her more as a servant than a daughter. Further he could be exceedingly cruel to those he felt were beneath him, a category that included nearly everyone he encountered. In the beginning she would lie awake trying to “will” herself back home. She did not know that her mutant gene had only temporarily activated in the time of her greatest terror and had once again returned to dormancy. Eventually she gave in to Belasco’s training, trying to learn everything she could from him.

Ten years passed like this; Belasco pushing and her striving harder to please him. However, lately Belasco had begun to grow more and more preoccupied with enhancing his own power, whatever the cost. He had secretly turned his back on the Christian faith and had begun worshipping an inscrutable pantheon he called the elder gods. Illyana worried that the worship of these beings had become an obsession for him. He engaged in a dark ritual one summer evening. He locked himself into his room with five servant girls. When he emerged the girls had disappeared and Belasco now bore a thin black chord with five equally spaced stones upon it. The stones were the color of blood and several times when they had grazed Illyana’s flesh they were warmer than they had a natural right to be.

Finally Illyana resolved that she could not close her eyes to the monster Belasco had become. One night she stole into his sanctum and read his journals hoping to prove her suspicions wrong. She was shocked when what she found accomplished quite the opposite. Belasco’s feverish and chaotic writings revealed that he believed himself to be the chosen of these elder gods. He was convinced that they had endowed him with the ability to spawn a new race of demons to rule the earth. His seed need only find purchase. Illyana felt fear tighten in her stomach as she read what he intended. Before she could react, she realized he was in the room with her. He leapt upon her and his strength surprised her. When the moonlight hit his face she saw him clearly. His teeth had become fangs, his hands claws and his forehead had cracked and erupted giving way to two thumb sized horns. She felt his clawed hands trying to rip at her clothes and she screamed when she realized that he now possessed a tail that had encircled her waist. The thing had skin like a red eel and pulled her body close to his. She somehow managed to push him away and fell to the ground. He extended his right arm and grabbed her by the neck drawing her to her feet with ease. He looked her in the eyes and demanded that she stop struggling. His voice was much changed too, not just the tenor, but the tone: he was mad. Illyana’s vision blurred as she began to suffocate.

Then before she could truly grasp what was happening, the circle of power once again appeared at her feet. This time it ascended so rapidly that Belasco could not pull his arm away in time. The circle swept up past Illyana’s face severing his arm near the shoulder. The next thing she knew she was knee deep in the snow. She looked up and recognized the building in front of her at once: her home back in Russia. She managed to pry the clawed fingers of her master from her throat. When it came free she took large lustful gasps of air and collapsed in the snow, ignoring the cold.

As her breathing slowed she regained her feet. As she brushed snow from her thin clothing, she saw an image form her nightmares emerge from the house. It was the man who had grabbed her brother Mikhail all those years ago. But the face . . . it was exactly the same; untouched by age. Past him, in the doorway, she could see that chalk outlines and still-wet pools of blood marking were her parents had been killed. With the kidnapper were two police officers. They were laughing along with him as if they had just shared some fine joke. Illyana’s rage blinded her and in the same moment the man noticed her. The look on his face showed he did not recognize her. He motioned towards her and said something to the police that made them laugh even harder.

She looked down at her feet were the severed arm of her master lay. She noticed that tears had begun streaming down from her face and were falling on the limb which steamed in the snow. She reached down and grabbed the arm lacing her fingers around the wrist bearing the blood stones. When she did, she felt a surge of power. The arm became immediately engulfed in flames. The flames burned hot and when they faded in Illyana’s hand was an intricate and terrible sword. The pommel bore the five stones in its handle. She turned to face the men on the porch of her home. She killed them were they stood and the dark blade asked for more.

Powers:

Magik has the ability to cast spells as well as having the ability to teleport across space. She has exhibited the ability to teleport through time as well, but has not yet mastered this ability. In addition she possesses a bracelet that bears five Bloodstones. These grant her access to more spells and more significantly, the bracelet transforms into a mystical sword and armor. Magik calls the sword her “Soulblade” as it is powered by the souls of those five poor servant-girls Belasco sacrificed to make it. When she summons the sword, armor appears spreading over her left arm.

Liz is the product of a one-night-stand between her mother and The Blob. Due to Blob's loyalty to the Brotherhood, he always stayed at Magneto's side. Mrs. Allen did not initially reveal his this to Liz, allowing Blob to share a small part of Liz's life as her Uncle Frank. Liz didn't know the truth for many years. Liz would have a normal childhood, growing up with close childhood friends Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson.

What Liz was told was that she had an uncle who was a mutant, and this led to his death. As a result, Liz had a phobia of mutants and super-powered beings, and she often worried that she herself was a mutant. When Johnny Storm joined her school briefly, she became extremely attracted to him and they shared a happy date, until he accidentally lit himself on fire, revealing himself as the Human Torch. The torch ignited Liz as well and she exhibited similar powers. Mary Jane later revealed that Liz believed that the manifestation had nothing to do with her and was only the fault of the Human Torch. Due to her phobia, she refused to see him ever again, and he left the school.

Eventually, Liz began to realize the she might be a mutant. In fact, the encounter with the Human Torch was the manifestation of her powers. After an encounter with Magneto, a talk with the X-Men's Iceman and Spider-Man, and upon recalling that her "uncle" was a mutant, she accepted her powers and went to live with the X-Men.

Origin

Though Warren Worthington III's bigoted parents claimed to love their son they could not cope with his visible mutation (a huge pair of wings) and had him raised by servants on a secluded private estate. They considered risky surgery, but when Warren's father heard of the Xavier Institute, he hastily unloaded his problem son, paying Charles Xavier to become Warren's legal guardian. Warren's arrival at the Institute caused a stir. Teammate Rogue felt that an "angel" in their midst might be a sign. This feeling was shared by religious pro- and anti-mutant groups who demonstrated outside within days of his arrival, having read about him from Beast's website. Feeling like an outsider, and mistaking his female team mates' stares for disgust rather than admiring glances, Warren flew away. Storm convinced him to return, and he informed the demonstrators that he was not a religious figure, merely a mutant, ending their interest.

Notes:

As far as the Strength goes the OHUMU has Angel as in the category of “peek human” so one would think that his strength should be in the area of 24, but this category is defined as the ability to lift twice your weight. Since his weight is only 120 lbs. (presumably because of hollow bones or some such thing) I kept his weight in the normal range.

As far as speed on flight go the same source puts him at 700 mph. The next category up is mach one. Speed of sound is a variable thing but is about 750+ mph. So I went with Flight 7 which is mach one.

The Buffeting thing represents a fast flurry of blows (thus the autofire) from his wings. The same source lists this as one of his abilities so I put it in.

The 1610 version also has done the trick of making gusts of wind with his wings. I was not sure how to model this. An AP on buffeting to Stun (Limited to daze) was my idea. Anyone think that is appropriate or should this be in the power stunt category?

Unfortunately the problematic Growth power give Giant Man the highest damage of any of my builds. I don't like it, but there it is.

Origin:

Scientific genius Hank Pym has lived a life of highs and lows, both tied to his wife Janet. College sweethearts, they married despite the insecure and emotionally unstable Hank's occasional physical abuse. The couple worked as scientists at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Super-Soldier Research Facility under Bruce Banner, in whose scientific shadow Hank lived uneasily. Fearful of anti-mutant prejudice, the self-shrinking, insect-powered Jan concealed her mutant nature, eventually allowing Hank to take credit for creating her powers by scientific means. Pym's genetic studies of Jan helped him make new scientific breakthroughs in the areas of size changing and entomology. The Pyms were later promoted to head the research and development wing of the government's new superhuman strike force, the Ultimates, with Banner as their deputy. The Pyms also became two of the program's founding super-operatives as the Wasp and Giant-Man (Hank used his new growth formula).

Origin:

Asian-American mutant Janet Van Dyne grew up on a military base near Dusseldorf, Germany, but later went to college in America. Studying science at NYU, she roomed with fellow "army brat" Betty Ross and dated grad-student Hank Pym, an unstable scientific genius who sometimes physically abused her.

Claiming the good times made the bad times worth it, Jan stuck by Hank despite his abuse, and eventually married him. Her low self-esteem may have stemmed in part from her secret mutant traits (insect-like properties and the power to reduce her own physical size), which she concealed from everyone but Pym.

When she and Hank worked at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Super-Soldier Research Facility under Bruce Banner (later the monstrous Hulk), Jan allowed Hank to take credit for supposedly creating her powers by scientific means, and Pym made various scientific breakthroughs based on his genetic studies of Jan.

The Pyms were later promoted to head the research and development wing of the government's new superhuman strike force, the Ultimates, with Banner as their deputy and Betty Ross as the program's Director of Communications.

The Pyms also became two of the program's founding super-operatives as the Wasp and Giant-Man (Hank using a new growth formula), and Jan embraced her new status as a celebrity.

Major Events

Humiliated and injured in battle by a rampaging Hulk and jealous of teammate Captain America, Hank nearly killed Jan during a subsequent domestic fight, engulfing the shrunken Wasp in an army of hostile ants.

While Hank fled and Jan recovered, Hank's former assistant Eamonn Brankin took over the Ultimates' R&D operations. Captain America apprehended Hank, injuring Pym so severely that he required traction. An hurt, embarrassed and confused Jan denounced the Captain's meddling and considered quitting the team.

After helping the Ultimates save Earth from the extraterrestrial Chitauri, Jan decided to stay on, cutting ties with Hank and dating Steve Rogers. This new relationship was controversial as the Pyms were not yet formally divorced, and Jan gradually wearied of the generation gap between herself and the 1940s-born Rogers. She also began to feel increasingly marginalized and excluded as the Ultimates expanded. Feeling alienated from her team and her lover, Jan began secretly seeing Hank (long since fired from the Ultimates), albeit platonically, and left Captain America after he discovered and denounced this "affair".

The invasion of America by the Liberators failed to take Janet in to account. They discounted the possibility that someone with her abilities could be a threat. By the time they found her, Janet had made her way to the cells in the Triskelion where Captain America was being held under suspicion of murder and helped him escape. Later, in the final conflict with the Liberators, Janet used the Giant Man serum, crushing the villain known as Swarm.

Wonderful thread so far, but why play up a one time incident into an abusive relationship. Hell Peter Parker has hit MJ a few times, and he isn't labeled a wife beater, why pick on one incident in Hank's past during a complete psychotic break?

Thanks, I am pretty proud of the timeline. It helps give cool context to your universe. In my campaign I keep anal records of the timeline. This allows me to have my characters hear about things. Here is an example of what I mean. I have a trio of teen heroes based in Pittsburgh. This is a scene that I read to my players the night that the Hulk goes crazy in NYC. (August 27, 2008).
John’s phone rang. He did not need super powers to know who was on the other end of the line or why they were calling. He walked over to the land line and picked up the receiver never taking his eyes off of the television. His father said something to him, but between having one ear pressed to the phone and the other focused on the television, he didn’t hear him. “Yeah Lex, I am watching it.” He said to the girl on the other end. “Who isn’t right now?” “Yeah, I can come over.”

John spent the next few minutes gathering up his phone and keys and other stuff, while his father followed him around saying that it might not be a good idea to be out on the streets right now. John turned to his father and said, “But papa, it is so awful. My friends are over Alex’s. I want to be with them while this is going on.”
John knew that if he played the “this is what normal American families do” card he could get his father to do practically anything. His mother was less susceptible to the ploy, but she was currently weeping, quietly engrossed in the fleeting terrifying images of New York.
“Okay, but keep in touch.” His father said, pulling out his blackberry as if John might forget how to do so and producing the phone would remind him.

As the door closed Coop pulled up in his wrangler. They all agreed that although they could conceivably teleport to japan for sushi and catch a premier league game in Wembley on the way home, it was smart to use conventional transportation in times of heightened parental scrutiny. This certainly qualified.

Coop leaned across the passenger seat and swung open the door for him. “Can you believe this sh*t?” Coop said.

“I know,” John said. “I can’t believe one creature could do so much damage.”

“No, I mean yeah that is horrible... really bad.” Coop said looking around nervously.

“Wait, what were you talking about?” John said sensing that the colossal loss of life and property had not been the subject of Coop’s inquiry.

“Nothing, nothing.” Coop said a little ashamed.

John thought for a second. Then he spoke. “You can’t hit on Alex at a time like this.” he said and he smiled.

“I know,” Coop said. “I finally get to go to the promised land and I have to be all like ‘this is so terrible.’” He said in mock outrage.

“Too soon, too soon.” John said and they both laughed. Humor was a defense mechanism and right now it felt good to release a little bit of the tension. Too quickly their good humor faded into silence. As they pulled up to Alex’s house John soberly turned to his best friend. “Seriously, though did you f*cking see that? It was horrible. You can just feel how scared and confused everyone is.”

“I know man, I know.” Coop said as they were getting out of the jeep. “Maybe I can console her.” He said keeping a straight face. John’s laughter was now even more difficult to contain strengthened as it was by inappropriateness.

He managed to pull it together by the time they got to the front door. Alex’s mom opened the door for them. “Hi, kids.” She said forcing a cordial tone into her voice. “Alex is in the living room.”

John tried to introduce Coop, but Alex’s mom said she knew him. “The divorce was from Don, not the Spartans.” She said with real warmth in her voice.

They went into the living room. Alex turned to them and waived them over to the couch. They sat down and Alex turned up the volume.

The shaky handheld footage is of a female reporter moving through the streets of New York. The only people heading in the same direction as her are emergency service personnel and soldiers. Pushing past her in the other direction are many civilians. Her hair is messy and her trench coat is disheveled. Her face is full of concern; the creeping fear of true concern, not the fake mask that reporters use when the story is appropriately terrible. “Reports are vague at this time, but it seems undeniable that . . . the. . . creature . . . known as the hulk is once again terrorizing the city of New York.”

The anchorman cut in to ask the woman a question. “The Hulk, Kelly? This is the creature that several months ago supposedly destroyed the Chelsea piers? Some people believed that he was only a myth akin to big foot.”

“Well, Greg, it seems that myths are not as . . . well . . . mythical as they used . . .”

Before she could finish her statement the ground shook and the camera swung away from her. Across the street a giant man in a red leather padded jumpsuit was writhing on the ground. The mere sight of a man of this size was strange to behold. When looking on it, one had the strange sensation that one was looking at a computer generated effect and not a news feed. At first it was not clear what the source of the man’s pain was. Then he rolled slightly and despite the tremor that accompanied his shift in weight the camera focused on his face. It was a creature shirtless and gigantically muscled. The creature’s grey skinned fists were alternatively smashing the giant man in the face and trying to tear at his giant mouth. The giant was screaming and it looked as if this hulking thing would try to tear the giant’s head from his enormous shoulders. Then, nearly faster than could be believed a red and gold blur smashed into the grey skinned thing carrying him away leaving only a blue-white trail of light behind it. The camera swung back to the journalist. She stood there the microphone at her side, mouth agape. A voice from behind the camera said “Kelly . . . Kel! We are live Kel.”

They all looked at each other and realized that their mouths had a lot in common with the reporters’. Just then Grant burst into the room.

“Guys, did you see what is going on? We have got to . . .” Before Grant could finish the statement he saw that Coop was there.

“Got to what?” Coop said.

“Uh,” Grant said “We’ve got to watch this. . . it’s amazing.”

“Amazing?” Coop said “Have some tact man this is terrible.” He finished putting a consoling hand on Alex’s shoulder.

“Yeah,” John said. “There is NOTHING WE can do.” John put the emphasis on the words as a signal to Grant. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but know everyone was looking at him: Coop obviously wondering about the strange choice of inflection, Alex looking at him as if he was insane and shaking her head slightly, and Grant just with frustration.

Grant took a seat for a few moments. Before saying to Alex, “Alex can you show me were you keep the soda?” Before getting up and walking into the kitchen. She got up and followed him. Coop leaned over to John and said “I don’t know what that guy thinks but he’s got no chance, he’s out of his league.”

John knew that Coop was talking about Alex, but as he answered he was looking at the screen frozen on a camera phone picture of the thing they called the Hulk and answered “yeah, way out of his league.”

When Alex got into the kitchen, Grant was standing there with his arms crossed. She thought she knew what he was going to say, but instead he said, “We can’t fight that thing.”

Surprised, she listened. “what we can do is go help the people. We’ve got to go.”

“I can’t do it, Grant. My mom will never let me go. We just got back form our imaginary mathlete competition and she is not going to take her eyes off of me tonight with this going on. And Coop is with John, he can’t get away. Plus, I am not sure that we can do anything that isn’t already being done.”

“You’re scared.” Grant said.

“So are you, I can tell.” He shook his head.

Alex continued and put her hand on his shoulder. “Just because we have these powers does not mean that we have to risk our lives every time something horrible happens. We will do what we can when we can. Let the Ultimates handle this one.”

Grant shook his head and said “OK, you’re right.”

Alex continued, “Now come on in and we can watch the coverage.”

Grant shook his head again, this time left to right. “No, I have to get home. My parents didn’t even want me to come out. You are right, I should go be with them.”

Alex nodded and Grant went out the back door. She watched him as he stepped into the shadows, no doubt to teleport home. She didn’t like him using his powers like that. They had agreed to try to use conventional transport as much as possible. Oh well she could not be too mad at him right now. His heart was in the right place. She looked into dining room where her mother was sitting and trying to keep busy with bills and such. Her mom looked tired and lonely. She herself was scared and confused. She decided to go to her and the decision immediately comforted her. As she leaned down to hug her mom, she thought how lucky Grant was that his parents were still together. He had two people that could make him feel safe and protected

It gives the universe a more incorporated tangible feel.

Having said that...

Those origins are straight from the Official Handbook of the Ultimate Marvel Universe. I was lazy and just used those. In his defense, Janet goes back to him. Although a lot of battered women make that decision.

Having said that, Pym is a pretty shady cat. He may or may not have sided with the Liberators when they invaded the US. He claimed that he was infiltrating them, but I think he was at the least a collaborator. Even one of the Ultron robots didn't believe his story. (See Ultimates vol 2 issue 12)

Origin:

A former Olympic archer, Clint Barton became a U.S. intelligence agent over a decade ago. Active around the world, he was present for the liberations of Kosovo and Afghanistan, as well as the fall of the Berlin Wall. He became a close friend and frequent colleague of fellow agent Nick Fury, and the two operatives were key founders of the modern intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Both rose through the ranks until Fury became the agency's director and Barton (code-named Hawkeye) became an elite agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s black ops division, often partnered with ex-KGB espionage legend Natasha Romanov (code-named Black Widow). Despite his dangerous, globe-spanning profession, Barton managed to build a more stable family life than most of his peers, residing for years with his girlfriend Laura (who recently became his wife), with whom he had three children: Callum, Lewis and baby Nicole, named after her godfather, Nick Fury. Hawkeye habitually phoned his family before every mission to say good-bye, just in case he never returned. He always returned, even after a mission which pitted him, Black Widow, and their support team against two office buildings full of extraterrestrial Chitauri sleeper agents. Most of their team died, but Hawkeye, the Widow and a handful of others survived, wiping out the Chitauri sleepers in the process.

Shortly thereafter, Hawkeye and the Widow were promoted to membership in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new celebrity superhero team, the Ultimates, complete with newly falsified backgrounds to make them more acceptable public figures. When the Ultimates thwarted a Chitauri plot to destroy Earth, thanks in part to unwitting assistance from the monstrous Hulk, it was a wounded Hawkeye who managed to bring down the rampaging Hulk once the aliens were defeated. Hawkeye participated in many more Ultimates operations before taking part in the team's most controversial mission to date, teaming with the European Super-Soldier Initiative to strip a "rogue" state of its nuclear weapons capability. In response, a traitor within the Ultimates led a black ops team in to Hawkeye's home, slaughtering the entire Barton family. Though apparently slain alongside his family, Hawkeye's body was missing from the crime scene when the authorities arrived.

Notes:

I have seen a million threads on how to apply autofire to any weapon. Some suggest it as a feat, others as a naked extra. I know this power seems complicated, but really it is pretty simple.

I chose 5 as that is the upper limit on most conventional weapons, which the ultimate Clint uses pretty much exclusively, aside from arrows tipped with nastiness. (including a small nuke he shot at Colossus  )

Alex Summers, aka Havok, is the headstrong, brash field leader of the Academy of Tomorrow, Emma Frost’s mutant peacekeeping squad. He is the boyfriend of fellow teammate Polaris.

He is also the older brother of Scott Summers. Scott sometimes calls Alex “little”, “kid” or “baby” brother to remind him that he is an inch taller. Alex and Scott are frequently at odds. Neither brother seems interested in mending this rift. Alex’s and Scott’s ideological differences are evidenced by their respective affiliation with Emma Frost's Academy of Tomorrow and Charles Xavier’s X-Men. They competed over Polaris, whom Cyclops also dated. The two help each other during times of crisis, but in general, they have deep familial issues separating them. Ironically, despite their aggression towards each other, neither sibling’s powers can harm the other.

Languages: English

Totals: Abilities 18 + Skills 18 (69 ranks) + Feats 16 + Powers 59 + Combat 18 + Saves 13 + Drawbacks 0 = 142

Origin:

The Mutant known as Bishop exists in two incarnations, the first is a youth with mutant powers and a criminal record, the second is man in his fifties who has traveled back in time in an attempt to prevent his own timeline from occurring.

Bishop’s powers allow the manipulation of Density. He can alter his body and surrounding area increasing or decreasing its overall density. This manipulation allows him to increase his strength and durability, and cause objects and targets to float or be crushed under their own weight, among other uses.

Major Events:

The older incarnation of Bishop first appears to the X-Men just after their battle with the mutant known as Cable. The X-Men quickly defeat and interrogate him. After Bishop convinces them that Cable is the threat, he helps the X-men track Cable to an abandoned Weapon-X base in Finland.

There the X-men confront Cable and his group of future soldiers, Domino, Kaine, Grizzly and Hammer. A conflict ensues in which Rogue is severely injured when her arm is severed. She survives and regenerates the arm by absorbing Wolverine’s healing factor. The X-men defeat the group, but not without great cost. Xavier is seemingly killed when Cable detonates an explosive device. The other mutants escape back to the future, but not before Cable destroys Bishop’s time-travel device.

Bishop visits his younger self in prison and implores him not to use his powers to escape.

Recruiting Wolverine, Storm, Pyro, Dazzler, Angel, and Psylocke, Bishop forms a new team of X-Men, to stop a wave of Sentinel attacks on mutants. The source of this attack is revealed to be the Fenris twins and Bolivar Trask. The X-Men battle the Sentinels and the von Struckers. Bishop kills the von Struckers and calls Psylocke his “wife.” Psylocke later confronts Bishop about this and he reveals that they were married in his future.

When the X-Men learn that Sinister has escaped the Triskelion, they go to recapture him. Sinister goes to the Morlock city, where he kills several mutants still attempting to fulfill his plan to kill ten mutants for his “master” Apocalypse. When he need only kill one more mutant, the New X-Men nearly stop him, however before they can do so, Bishop intervenes allowing Sinister’s final victim to be Angel. Wolverine kills Bishop for this. Sinister dies and rises as Apocalypse. The X-Men attack him, but he reveals the ability to control all mutants. As a result the Mutants from the Xavier School are forced to join the fight on Apocalypse’s side. They attack the Fantastic Four who have come to investigate. SHIELD brings its forces to the fight as well. Suddenly two armored forms appear. They reveal themselves to be Xavier and Cable. They break Apocalypse’s control over the mutants and reveal Apocalypse’s nature. They reveal that he is, or at least think he is, the first mutant. They reveal that Cable took Xavier into the future to teach him how to fight Apocalypse and that Bishop was left behind to help the mutants with great potential realize it so that they could help in the fight. Cable, Xavier and the rest are unable to defeat Apocalypse. Before Apocalypse can kill Xavier, Jean unleashes the Phoenix force. Jean merges with Phoenix to become an entirely new being. She defeats Apocalypse and alters reality so that the rise of Apocalypse never happened and no one remembers the events except the X-Men. She then leaves them behind. Xavier reforms the X-Men as agents for positive change in the world.

After the battle with Apocalypse, all consequences are undone by the Phoenix, however there is no evidence that Bishop has been returned to life. Perhaps her actions have altered the future.

The younger incarnation of Bishop is a young man in the present day. He has a criminal record that has landed him in prison at least twice. Despite this he was briefly considered for inclusion in Emma Frost's Academy of Tomorrow project. Little else is known of the younger bishop’s life. It also remains to be seen how the older Bishop’s visit will affect the course of the younger Bishop’s life

Note:

I have seen a lot of cool ways to build Cap's Shield, but I went more straight forward. In the Ultimate, he doesn't ricochet it around as much or to as much effect. So I represented this with only Split Attack and the Feat Bank Shot.

I decided to go with 8 as a base score and up it to 24, which I consider the peak human...well 26 at the VERY highest.

I may have overdone the equipment, but he has to have something in all those green pockets.

Not sure if quickness/master plan should be 3 ranks or 4.

Before anyone comments about the REGEN that has to stay in this version...does anyone argue it should be higher?

Origin

Steve Rogers grew up in Brooklyn during the Great Depression, a scrawny kid protected from neighborhood bullies by his best friend James "Bucky" Barnes. Horrified by newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the Army around the time the United States entered World War II, but because time and again he failed the physical tests, he was rejected.

His luck changed during another visit to a Recruitment Center when Military Sergeant Dugan recruited him for Project: Rebirth after hearing Roger's desire to be useful to the war effort. After voluntarily subjecting to surgery, steroid treatments, and other experimental treatments supervised by Dr. Erskine, Rogers became the first genetically-enhanced super-soldier.

During the final treatment however, a Nazi spy infiltrated and attempted to murder Rogers. He was unsuccessful and Rogers stopped him, but not before the spy murdered Doctor Eskine and others. After the doctor’s death, subsequent attempts to replicate the process failed.

Captain Rogers fully committed himself to the war effort, and bid farewell to his sweetheart Gail. Clad in stars-and-stripes, he became “Captain America” and his image was used to bolster Allied recruiting.

Over the years Captain America undertook numerous covert operations, often accompanied by Bucky, now a war photographer, and sometimes alongside a Canadian soldier “Lucky” Jim Howlett, who would later become the X-Men Wolverine.

In Poland in 1944, he battled Kleiser, one of the Nazi’s secret extraterrestrial Chitauri masters, blowing up a train delivering parts for a super weapon. A year later, he led an assault on an Icelandic base where the Nazis were launching an advanced ballistic missile at the White House. As the missile launched, he climbed aboard and wrecked its guidance system, causing it to explode seconds later. Though believed dead, Rogers was thrown clear into the Arctic Ocean.

Decades later, the body of Captain America was found in the Arctic Ocean, frozen in a block of ice. When scientists analyzed him, it was as if he hadn't aged a day; it is unknown whether cryogenic preservation or the super soldier serum prevented aging.

Rogers awoke in a S.H.I.E.L.D facility, and was soon recruited to join the Ultimates, America’s new superhuman strike force, despite struggling to adjust to life in the 21st century.

Major Events:

Captain America helps subdue the rampaging Hulk in New York.

After teammate Giant Man abuses and nearly kills his wife, the Wasp, Rogers tracks him down and hospitalizes him.

When the Chitauri resurface, Cap leads a successful counterattack during which he manipulates the Hulk into slaying Kleiser. Soon after this mission, he and the Wasp became a couple.

Captain America has led the Ultimates against the Brotherhood of Mutants, the X-Men, and Norman Osborn‘s group, known as the “Six”.

On a Tunguska expedition he learned of a Soviet super-soldier project and fought a man who claimed to be his Russian counterpart.

When Thor revealed that Banner, a member of the Ultimates, was in fact the Hulk, the group came under intense criticism and scrutiny. When Thor seemingly betrayed the Ultimates, Rogers angrily confronted Thor, and later led the team in capturing him.

At some point, Rogers befriended T'Challa, the Black Panther, and trained him in for membership in the Ultimates.

Despite being mute Captain America was eventually able to communicate with T'Challa and learned of the man's desire to return to his homeland of Wakanda. Since no one but Cap had ever seen T'Challa's true face, Rogers adopted the role of the Black Panther in the Ultimates, enabling the real Black Panther the chance to return home.

Captain America was instrumental in the Ultimates forcibly stripping a Middle Eastern country of its nuclear arsenal. Howev actions such as these ultimately led to several nations secretly forming their own superhuman team, dubbed "the Liberators".

Captain America was framed by Black Widow for the assassination of Hawkeye's family and was hastily subdued and arrested. He was imprisoned in the Triskelion.

When the Liberators attacked, he was freed by the Wasp. He and the Wasp soon reached the White House where they met with Hawkeye, Nick Fury, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Captain dueled with his Liberators counterpart, The Colonel and emerged victorious after stabbing the Colonel in the chest with one end of the double-bladed energy sword that the Colonel used.

After the Liberators were defeated, Rogers somberly watched the Colonel's body being removed by S.H.I.E.L.D. and remembered his words about America's current role in the world. Seeing that the Ultimates role in "policing" the world for the US Government would lead to more Liberators-style outcomes, Rogers and his team decided to leave S.H.I.E.L.D. and work as an independent team.

Notes: Brian is a pretty vanilla power suit in the 1610. His intelligence and inventor potential is much greater than his 616 counterpart.

Origin

As a teenager, Brian Braddock was fascinated by the World War II super-soldier Captain America, even hanging a poster of the hero in his room at Fettes College, his Edinburgh boarding school.

Inheriting the scientific aptitude of his bio-engineer father, Sir James Braddock, Brian eventually joined him at the Dome in Brussels, working for the European Defense Initiative's super-soldier program.

Each member country provided a team that worked on its own designs, with the elder Braddock overseeing the project as a whole. Brian worked on designing an exo-suit which could enhance the wearer's abilities. The project’s main goal was working to create a European Union equivalent of the Ultimates taskforce.

Personal tragedy hit the Braddocks when Brian's sister Betsy, a Psi agent of S.T.R.I.K.E. (the British branch of S.H.I.E.L.D.), was possessed by the rogue mutant David Xavier and slain by the X-Men, though the family soon learned she had survived by taking over the body of a long-term coma victim.

Soon after this, Brian perfected his armor and took the codename Captain Britain. With twelve other candidates from the E.U. member states in various states of readiness, the E.D.I. prepared to go public. One of Brian's earliest missions prior to this unveiling was to raise a downed submarine, assisted by two fellow E.D.I. agents and the Ultimates' Iron Man.

Major Events

Several weeks after Brian perfected his exo-suit, S.H.I.E.L.D. decided Thor had become a dangerous liability who needed to be apprehended. The four combat-ready E.D.I. super-soldiers - Captain Britain, Captain Spain (Carlos Fraile), Captain France (Hugo Etherlinck) and Captain Italy (Umberto Landi) - accompanied the Ultimates to Norway to confront Thor. After a protracted melee, the European super-soldiers helped their allies strip Thor of his belt, the source of his powers, and placed Thor in custody. The entire E.D.I. team joined the Ultimates soon after, invading and disarming a Middle Eastern nation.

After the Liberators invaded America, Captain Britain led the E.D.I. super-soldiers on a clandestine mission to America and released the Fantastic Four, Spider-man, and the X-Men from Liberator-imposed captivity. Teaming up with the freed heroes, Captain Britain joined in the fight against the Liberators.

Origin

For millennia an ancient extraterrestrial race called the Kree have tracked and studied a mysterious planet-eating creature they called Gah Lak Tus. The Supreme Intelligence restricted this knowledge to specially trained high-level Kree, fearing that if the true nature of Gah Lak Tus became common knowledge, it would drive their race insane. Several years before Gah Lak Tus was due to arrive in the Sol system, the Kree staged a covert observation mission on Earth. As part of this mission, Pluskommander Mahr Vehl underwent massive nanosurgery to appear human and went undercover, as physicist Dr. Philip Lawson, to investigate the human race.

Major Events

Growing fond of humans, Vehl joins S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Asis program to speed up humanity's progress to the stars, helping develop a zero point energy source for manned space flight.

On the day the Asis 01 Test Article is to be launched, the base iss attacked by a Kree “killform”, a biomechanical assassin droid, which also brings orders for Vehl to aid humanity no further.

Refusing, Vehl slays the killform, but the effort leaves him powerless to resist capture by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

After a brief interrogation, Vehl informs General Nick Fury, Captain Carol Danvers, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man and Thor regarding the existence of a Gah Lak Tus and a database compiling information about it aboard his ship. Vehl leads a strikeforce consisting of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, Hawkeye and Iron Man to steal the database while Fury, Danvers, Thor, Human Torch, Thing, Black Widow and S.H.I.E.L.D. forces engage the Kree soldiers on Earth. Vehl uploads the database into Iron Man's computers and the team escapes the Kree craft moments before a self-destruct sequence destroys it.

Mahr Vehl later aids the heroes against the "heralds" of Gah Lak Tus, the Silver Searchers. Mahr Vehl is wounded in battle, but this diversionary action gives Mr. Fantastic time to use the Ultimate Nullifier, which repels Gah Lak Tus. Mahr Vehl then chooses to remain on Earth, and is given the title of "Captain" by Fury.
