3e Playtesters needed

Postby Steve Conan Trustrum » Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:47 am

I'm at the point with converting my old 2e books that I need some people familiar with 3e to go over the converted materials. Anyone interested in playtesting/proofing 3e materials for a free PDF of whatever book they help with should email me at trustrum@misfit-studios.com and pitch why you'd make an excellent playtester.

I'm currently converting the powers section of Better Mousetrap 2e.

I'd love to but I just don't have the time to do it this go round. But, for those of you interested, I've helped out on a couple o Steve's projects and he's a good guy to work with, his stuff is fun, and he enjoys the feedback and interaction with the guys helping him out. So, if you're interested, let him know, and he'll walk you through the process.

No need to slide me cash. Steve puts out quality products that are 1) well written, 2) fun to read, 3) provide a number of options to both GMs and players, 4) Are reasonably priced, and I don't think you can ask for more than that.

I've been wondering when you'd be revamping some of your stuff for 3E. I was looking over the MA book just the other day with an eye as to what needed changing to convert it to the new edition. And doesn't look like much. I need to get a group together but I'll see what I can do if anything to help out.

I really want to start putting out new 3e materials, but putting thought into that made me realize how much I really have to get these conversions done so I can use my additional rules and content.

FYI, I'm still looking for a few more playtesters. We're currently digging into the power re-writes and new power builds of Better Mousetrap.

Sounds good, I know I have Better Mousetrap but haven't read into for a bit to see what might need restructuring.

Well, a lot of the unique extras and flaws for the powers are being redone as added power build components or AEs to better suit the 3e style, for one. Some things are being dropped entirely because they address mechanical aspects that no longer appear in 3e.

I've got some excellent playtesters bashing this material about (I could still use some more, though), and some interesting power builds and modifiers are coming out of it. To move in line with the 3e concept, some of the power feats and extras from 2e were dropped, but others have been changed to power builds or components to be added to other power builds.
