To do or not to do

Postby v-bar1 » Wed Aug 22, 2012 10:00 pm

Hi this is vbar and a long while back i was gonna release a pdf for a modern campaign world using m&m 1st edition. However around that time i had some health issues and i was forced to give up the idea, thankfully, as looking back at it now, it was a writers mess :D :D :D :D
Anyway i am thinking of releasing most of the fluff that was to get the product underway. If people get the chance, can u have a flick through it and tell me if the setting if worth me investing time and a limited amount of cash on it to update to third edition, It would be much appreciated  Dont worry about the writing part, just the concept, i know that most of the writing is just plain bad :D england :D
Cheers all

I don't think you can. You may have to host it on some place like Dropbox and then post a link here.

Ok just add a basic link for my idea to dropbox (cheers fuzzyboots :-). Its got lot of X-Com, 4400, GI Joe, Battle Action Force and Command and Conquer to it. It has no Super-powered by M&M stuff or i hope it hasn't, as i am getting ready to send away my letter for permission to use their stuff.
Let me know what you think.

A gritty X-Com sourcebook for M&M? Sounds interesting :D

The only problem I can see is a potential focus on vehicles, since vehicle rules in M&M could need a bit of clarifications.

I had made up Horror Rating rules for fighting aliens and monsters.
Ammo clip rules to count how many shots a person could do and how much a person could carry.
Hit locations and armour area rules,a few new skills and feats, lots of vehicle equipment and device add-ons.
Military ranks and pp for monthly pays and a command like feel.
Black market selling of equipment to gain more pp or stripping vehicles to add to ones own, free of charge.
Injesting of crystals to gain power points for powers was other areas i was looking at, however i had never given the aircraft/vehicle rules much thought.
God looking back at this all now thank god i never released it  :P and Im still trying to get my head around 3rd edition.
Wish they had got marvels license as well though. Oh well maybe some of the other comic companies might jump onto Mutants and Masterminds system.
