If you don't mind me asking, why is this? As far as b&w vs color in RPG books, including the superhero genre, I don't care either way if the book was well written as it was with TAF. Color art will just make the books more expensive so less copies will sell. I think the higher quality of art in the GR is spoiling us :).

The Supers Genre is a 4 colors one thats why and besides color is always preferable to B&W for many, myself included.
As for price well I guess it depends on your point of view.. myself im far from rich but im more than happy to pay a little bit more for the kind of books I like (namely hardbound and color) and as for selling less thats debatable and entirely circumstantial.

I just got my copy in the mail, and it is awsome. I can't wait to use these characters against my players.

Well I now have the book and like it.

The colour versions of the characters I downloaded from the website.

Without them as the teaser I may not have got the book

I recently began creating a matrix to convert characters from Mutants & Masterminds to the Marvel Universe RPG. And I used alot of the characters from The Algernon Files as a testbed for it. And it has so far turned out pretty well.

I'm already devising future campaign plans for a significant amount of these characters. I can tell they are already going to be a source of a great deal of fun.

I know... *hangs head in shame*

One question -- how do you pronounce "Duquesnes" (the family name of Carionette & Hauntress)? Like "DOO-kane"?

And where/when will we see iffo on The Hierophant & Ex Machina?

Emphasis on the second syllable -- deh-KANE.

The write ups and some of the history on these are very good.

But there does seem to be a discrepancy with the Sentinels history and Killjoy. Part of it seems to indicate he was a member for a while but the Take 2 bit seems to say he turned up to fight the Serpent Queen and then vanished which was the first mission for the reformed Sentinels.

There is some nice stuff with this though.

Though he was a founding member of the second team, Killjoy was an off-and-on-again member of the that team. It was such a tradition of him quitting and coming back, quitting and coming back, that it was a running joke among the local press -- "The flowers are blooming and Killjoy's back with the Sentinels again, so it must be Spring." -- is the opening line to a famous NYTimes editorial (that then went on to talk about things unrelated to the team). :)

He was never a member of the third incarnation, but showed up to help old friend Horus and the newly formed third team deal with the Serpent Queen.

LoL. Love that editorial :-)

I've had it for awhile and I've been using it in my sessions. I just registered, so I thought I'd post. The players dread the day that Magog returns. :D

This has been a great product with the best layout of any MnM book I've seen so far. The Algernon world is pretty good and isn't too hard to fit into my own campaign. Thus far, I've used only two villains from the book, but I'm looking forward to a few more adventures using it. The web enhancement for the Crone was great too..
Yeah, well, you are what you eat!! HAHA

I'd have told you doo-KANE, like the University, but people 'round here pronounce 'North Versailles' as 'North ver-SALES', so it's probably not best to ask about French pronunciations...
