You'll see more of the team as we show off the artwork. :)

You'll also see some more Black Chapter, which is closer to publication... should see some more of those characters next week. :)

Would you believe she's getting an upgrade?

Stay tuned. Some new art for this and other Six Gun characters coming soon, courtesy of the amazingly talented Alex Williamson. :)

(We're keeping Headcase, though, and Yad'll be coloring all the characters again. :) )

Interesting, kind of reminds me of what Monkey would look like from comics and anime I've seen of Journey from the West or is that to the West. But it almost alwys features a half-crazy martial artist called Monkey and in many visual media he is depicted as an anthro monkey with a staff. This is different of course as it is a yeti but the similarites are still there.

Yup, he does remind me a lot of the Monkey King character from "Journey to the West." Also known as Sun Wukong, he's an inspiration for characters in a LOT of Asian literature. Even manga like Dragonball Z or Naruto pull heavily from the Journey to the West characters and situations.

In this case, I was struggling to get the right "Look" for my Yeti because I didn't want him to look like a big, bulky Ape since the stats really focused on agility and speed. We already have a big strength-based character or two, you see, and wanted our Yeti to be a little different. :)

After a while, hitting on the monkey king style of kung fu concept clicked for me, and here we go. :) Hoping that Jack likes it...

I'd rank the options in order as: Aerial Combat, Vs. the Mobsters, then Kaiju, but I'd love to see all three!

Cool, Quistar! I think once we nail down some of our current projects, the Aerial Combat supplement will be forthcoming. :)

Six-Gun Art Preview: Camo!

Postby Shadowchaser » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:55 pm

From the incredibly talented fingertips of Alex Williamson, I bring you the updated version of Camo from Six-Gun!

Yes, I just posted a version of her above, but we've decided to let Alex do the line art for this one. Why? Well, just look at it!!

Plus, letting him work on this means I have more time to do publisher-y type stuff, like getting ready for conventions, having a website made, and other "Fun" things. Woooooooo.

Anyway, here's some awesome art:

Six Gun Art Preview: Marauder!

Postby Shadowchaser » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:57 pm

...and also from Six-Gun, and from Alex Williamson, Marauder!

Marauder is the team leader, whether he likes it or not. Rick Jones created some great personalities for this supplement. It's great watching Alex bring them to life. I can't wait to show you the rest!

It's tough to compare Camo's prior color art with the new pencils, but I kinda liked the pose in the first piece more. Still, we shall see how it looks with color.
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.

It's a matter of consistency as much as anything else. I want the style of the art to remain consistent throughout the book, and since Alex's doing such an amazing job with the character designs and the detailed artwork, I'm very happy to go with his version.

I may use the version Yad and I did sometime down the line in another book as some 'filler' artwork, as long as it doesn't break up the look of something, but I don't know yet. I certainly think both of them came out well, though I tend to think Alex's work is *way* better than my pencils, specially looking at the mechanical stuff. :)
