So . . . unless I miss my guess there's a few people with kneecaps that need breaking and places of business that need burning.

I'll need to check sources before taking it as gospel truth, but it certainly seems legitimate... It fits with what I've been observing the last few weeks... And it makes a certain amount of sense that they'd want the cartoon to tie in more closely with the movie(s) for synergy... Can't say I'm thrilled or dismayed until I see what they come up with, but they're gonna have a tough time matching the current A:EMH series... My (close) second favorite superhero cartoon on TV these days...
A friend of mine who lives where this show is airing ahead confirms Spider-Man appearing right after the Skrull arc finishes. Also, first steps on a Surtur Arc (that probably won't finish if the show is really cancelled) including a Beta Ray Bill episode. Also Vision shows up and Ultron Returns. Hank Pym reappears as Yellow Jacket. That is all he told me, as I asked him not spoil me details...
I'm not sure I understand why the show is being replaced, instead of simply seguing into an Avengers roster that more closely resembles the movie-the cartoon already has Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor-just add Black Widow, make Nick Fury a bit more prominent, and relegate the other members to lesser roles in the stories.

Just DO NOT replace Hawkeye's costume with a SHIELD uniform; Clint Barton has one of the best costumes in comics (everything about it perfectly represents the character) and I refuse to acknowledge the current appearances in the Avengers' books where he's not wearing it.

All my best.

D'OH!!! I should've recognized Cockroach Hamilton, at least... Blast...

I didn't recognize the Mangler...though in my defense (and yours) the appearance of those grade-D villains was altered a lot in some cases (I think the Mangler was a black pro wrestler, and Scythe was white, not Asian...cripes, those are some of my earliest Marvel comics' memories, back when my Dad would still read some of the books to me).

Iron Fist got short shrift here, as I think all but Scythe were Power Man villains, though I'm not sure Iron Fist had many "mook" villains, other than Scythe and The Ninja (a mystical, well, ninja). He actually fought some fairly respectable bad guys, like Radion and Steel Serpent, though none ever really caught on. Power Man's early villains were all pretty lame, except for Chemistro. Looking back, some of them were also borderline racist, including Coachroach Hamilton and Pirhana Jones, let alone the Black Mariah (don't ask).

All my best.

As I read the announcement, it's because they're bringing it to an "in house" animation team instead of farming it out. This is sort of the animation equivalent of the older Marvel movies (eg. X-Men, Spider-Man) vs the new Marvel Cinematic Universe (Cap, Thor, Avengers) -- they're fundamentally shifting who they're doing business with, which requires them to work with a different creative team and a different continuity.

To each their own, I guess. I hate the purple pointed mask and much prefer the SHIELD outfit.

I don't mind the current (soon to be ended) Avengers, but I do think the new one proposed has the potential to be better. I'm not really sure why so many have nothing but negativity regarding this announcement.

I'd guess it's because they are doing so well (or were doing well) with the series. The new series, based more closely on the movie characters is an unknown right now, and it could be a total flop. I can see them moving away from telling comic stories and into just recreating the movie world in an animated universe. I still cringe when I see that old Star Trek cartoon. Maybe others are remembering similar cases.

can someone tell me if episode 2,26 is the serie's finale or not ?

because if it is, it felt a little rushed to me

the final ep is 2.26, "Avengers Assemble" in which they fight Galactus
