That, sir, is slander!!! Moles are in the order of Soricomorpha... Not Rodentia...

...although your point about the lack of pants would seem accurate... that one i can't argue with...

I've got serious reservations about Marvel's ability to successfully integrate Rocket Raccoon into the greater Marvel movie-verse...

Here's hoping it doesn't suck.

I'm surprised Marvel hasn't tried to do more with Howard, now that they're owned by Disney. They didn't do a lot before because of possible legal issues, but now that Disney owns Marvel....

Wait this means: 1) they are introducing a character like howard the duck, in rocky racoon and that and I don't know why but I think that could turn into a Jar Jar Binks.

2) the coolness of the infinity gems and hopefully hope beyond hope we can see Doom (done by another actor please though I do like the actor who played him, just not in that role) and have Doom somehow involved in twarting Thanos. I know that would nothappen but here's a thought it could be used to add the FF to the mix into the Avengers 2 and here is a bigger What IF: Doctor Strange. Yes, the missing awesomeness of Strange.

And that leads to

3) A Doctor Strange movie (like Thor and Cap had) prior to Avengers 2. Come on Marvel stop ignoring one of your most 'coolest' of very cool characters you have in that library. Doctor Strange is like a CGI Pixar/Disney studio wetdream come true. It can lead to so many fantastic CGI necessary moments. Plus the origin story is good if done right (doc goes to tibet and fights baron mardo in the process, becoming the new sorcerer supreme and hopefully Dormammu is the major villain. Mardo can be a side villain or in league with Dormammu.

You can even incorporate other marvel characters into the doc strange movie, like Luke/Danny aka the two that won't be mentioned together but deserve their own movie.

plot clues?

“about a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”

If only they would cast Ben Browder as the astronaut....

And now and then stab, as occasion serves.

Go play Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and then tell me about Jar Jar Binks again.

Yeah, when I first read that bit, I had the exact same thought. Though the parts in the article referring to Vance Astro threw me a bit. Why wouldn't Star-Lord be the "astronaut" in question? He did appear in the concept art, after all.

I got to thinking this weekend. My family is planning a trip to Walt Disney World for Christmas. No, while Disney CEO has stated that while they want to do Marvel stuff at the parks at some point in the future, they will honor existing contracts with other parks, most notably Universal Studios. Now, it seems that most of the licensing contracts that Marvel did were just for the big characters- FF, X-Men, Spidey, etc. I wonder if part of the reason that Disney green-lit GoG is so they could have a recognized Marvel property that they can use at the parks free and clear, provided the film is a success.

Maybe... Except that "recognized" is a really generous term to apply to any incarnation of the Guardians of the Galaxy... I'm probably more familiar with the "classic" Guardians than 90% of comic book readers and about average in familiarity with the newest iteration... And that's a pretty small group to begin with... I doubt more than about 1%-2% of people in the US would do more than give you a blank stare if you asked them who the Guardians of the Galaxy are... And half of them would mistakenly reference Green Lantern...

They'd be recognized AFTER the movie. DUH.  Again, provided it's a success. And, admit it, you'd LOVE to go down to Tomorrowland and meet Rocket Raccoon.
