The writing seems no better than mediocre so far. I am liking the Perez artwork, but there was too much fill-in artwork in issue #2.
The Power Girl costume is still god-awful (though her Supergirl of Earth-2 dugs may have been even worse), and for some reason the Huntress' headgear now has mouse-ears instead of bat-wings. Not really intmidating, though I like the costume better overall than the "bare-belly" special.
Cosmetics aside, these are NOT the same characters at all-they aren't even throwbacks to the original "classic" Earth-2 characters. Helena Wayne was the daughter of Catwoman, and took up the mantle to avenge her mother; Kara was a bruiser who never played second-fiddle to Kal-L as "Supergirl"-she didn't even want a similar emblem on her costume, because PG was a heroine in her own right and didn't need to stand even in the Earth-2 Superman's shadow.
Still, I'm interested enough for now. I could probably like this more if DC didn't insist on calling this one and the new JSA as being of "Earth-2"; maybe if they just agreed to Earth-Beta instead.
All my best.
