Young Justice Animated Series

Post by Dr.Volt » Mon Feb 08, 2010 2:22 pm

Wikipedia has this to say about this prospective new animated series for TV:

"Young Justice is an upcoming animated series by DC Comics Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, based on the DC Comics titles Young Justice and Teen Titans. No release date has been given and Not much is known about the series at present, but the lineup of characters is said to include Miss Martian, Aqualad, Nightwing, Impulse, Arrowette, and Connor Kent. The Justice League may also play a supporting role. The art style of the show is purported to be a mix betwen that of Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans (animated series). Actress Stephanie Lemelin will be providing the voice for Arrowette and announced her enthusiasm for the project on her blog, as well as posting a piece of artwork of the character from the series. The blog post has since been removed. On his Twitter account, actor Tequan Richmond claims that he recently tried out for the role of Aqualad, and showed a piece of artwork showing the character:.<http://twitpic.com/q7p4e It appears that Aqualad's design has been altered to make him of African descent, or that it may be a sucessor to the title."

Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Just ... ed_Series)"

There is also a picture that was leaked by the actress who is said to be voicing Arrowette and more description here: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/02/02/ ... ce-league/

And here's a piece of concept art for Aqualad: http://twitpic.com/q7p4e Aqualad as of African American descent? Hmmmm....different and Intriguing.

I'm not that familiar w/ Young Justice from the comics. But this seems like it could be promising. The 2 art pieces look good.

What do you guys think?

If it's as a high a quality as the previous DC animated series, they can count me a a viewer.

Having caught part of Generator Rex last night and seeing that CN seems to be pushing TV-PG shows, I wonder what the rating for it is gonna be.

Also, I hope that another "bat-embargo" doesn't surface in regards to Batman: The Brave and The Bold and Young Justice.

Still interested in seeing this when it starts up in the next few months.

Wiki link for the show.
Yes, superheroes should be played like paladins in capes.

go to youtube and search young justice and you get much more info from the producer of the show, don't trust the wiki
Off screen voice: Fear me, I've killed hundreds of Time Lords.
Doctor Who: Fear me, I've killed all of them.

I believe this premieres this month. Any idea on day and time and channel

And now and then stab, as occasion serves.

You and me BOTH! My poor wife. She has to tolerate my ever-growing obsession with finding the next great animated superhero show. For the moment it's "Avengers". Which actually is much, much better than I had expected it would be.

But man am I stoked about YJ. And the reason I responding to your particular post, Shadowchaser, is that said wife made a very similar comment to yours while she and I were watching TV (Cartoon Network, if you couldn't guess, and she really wasn't watching it, but I had the controller) and the commercial spot for YJ came on. She saw me get all glossy-eyed and then uttered, "Can't you just get those on DVD right away these days? If not, do you want me to buy you a Kid Flash costume to watch the show in?"

Ok, the moment doesn't translate well here, but I'm just trying to say that my enthusiasm is off the charts as well. :)
