While I'm commenting a bit late, this book is well worth its price due to the volume of NPCs in it and the fact that they are a slightly higher power level than Crooks or Foes of Freedom. It is nice to have a few character around to frighten my players when they breach into PL 11 and above.

i loved AF and really hope the WW2 AF makes it to print
You must be proud, bold, pleasant, resolute,
And now and then stab, as occasion serves.

I own AF too, and if it were in color, its be just as good or better actually than official MnM material, yet its already just as good or better in black and white. The art is great, the ideas great, the rules great. And best of all the characters are written in 'the best' format from any Superlink product todate that I have seen (no I don't own the all but I do own quite a few).

I saw the book when it first came out but had gotten out of MnM but then when I decided to 'get back into' the game I knew that it was money well spent. Just like I thoroughly enjoy Powers Corrupt, and the other simliar files from Devi's workshop.

I recommend other would-be superlink guys to buy or find a copy and look at the Algernon Files and base your charcter format write up like this book does it. That is cuz its 'done right'.

Gratifying to know that people still like our stuff.

Just for y'all's enlightenment, those are pictures of the Terrible Sky Pyramid of Dr. Scarab, the prototype plane flown by Avery Hawkins and his American Eagles, and the MvII Kriegsmaschinnen Prometheus made for the Nazis. 8)

Still working on Fires of War. News will be shared when known.

Any idea of when you'll start taking pre-orders?

Full color The Algernon Files

Aaron, I just thought about this. Any chance of you guys reprinting TAF in full color as a soft cover bookwith all the errors corrected? I know I'd grab up a copy, and I'm sure there are others.

Not really, I'm afraid. It's much to soon after the first book went out and the market is waaaaaaaayyyyyy too soft for that kind of risk. Maybe at some point in the future, assuming some time passes, the first printing goes out of print, and Steve "The Man" Kenson wows us with some future 2nd or 3rd edition of the game.

BTW, just for you elucidation, the cost differential between soft- and hardcover is negligible; the differential between B&W and color is substantial. :(

I'm tempted to copy the color pictures on the website to disk and run to a local print shop to have them printed onto stickers, so that I can paste 'em over the B&W illos and colorize my copy of the book...

The cheaper alternative is having one of the kids sit down with markers and color them in appropriately, but I shudder to think of how *that* would turn out.

Any chance of TAF being released as a PDF download? After reading the glowing compliments on this thread I'd be willing to buy it as a book (softcover, hardcover, doesn't matter) but the problem is that I'm in Australia and I shudder to think of the shipping charges, based on my past experiences at getting stuff shipped from the US to here.

Eventually, yes, it's a distinct possibility -- but it'll be after the print run is sold out. Competing directly with the FLGS (not to mention ourselves -- look at what happened with the Ars Magica pdf debacle), just doesn't make good policy. 8)

You can pick it up from milsims.com.au for $50 Australian, if that helps.
