Real Name: Ken Mack
Height: 6’5”
Weight: 300 lbs
Hair: None
Eye Color: Red

Complications:
Disability: Mettle’s appearance can be quite disconcerting for people and he has no sense of touch.

Predjuice: T-Cell victim.

Power Loss: If Mettle’s Organic Omnium Steel Skin power is negated in some way his Strength drops to 2.

Relationships: Mettle is protective of his Arcadian Academy teammates, but Hazmat in particular.

Vulnerable: Since his body is made of living Iridium, Mettle is vulnerable to magnetic attacks.

Background: Ken Mack was a sixteen year old native of LA, whose main hobbies involved surfing and chasing girls until another surfer hit him with a surf board while he was surfing, ripping away part of his face which revealed a red Omnium Steel skull at the point of impact. He was taken to the Albright Institute where it was explained that the trauma accelerated his transformation that had been caused by his being one of the Terminus Infected children from the invasion that happened during the 1990s, and that the transformation had already been taking place but it had been at a much slower rate. Unfortunately the acceleration continued on until four days later Ken’s entire body was completely transformed into a kind of red colored, organic Omnium Steel.

Real Name: Isaiah Crockett
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 154 lbs
Hair: Black
Eye Color: Brown

Complications:
Predjuice: Second generation Wild Striker.

Public Identity: Isaiah's is well known in the media and he's sometimes put into odd or dangerous situations.

Temper: Like other flame/heat manipulators/controllers, Joto has an explosive temper.

Background: Isaiah’s mother was a victim of the Wild Strike but the powers she gained allowed her to hid her physical deformities so well that her husband, who eventually became a member of the Bay City Council, was unaware of her secret. That is until their son Isaiah developed his flame and heat powers and was determined to be a second generation Wild Striker by the Albright Institute.

To Councilman Crockett’s credit he stood by his son and when his political enemies learned of the truth about Isaiah’s condition and released that information to the public. Instead of distancing himself from his family, Councilman Crockett simply stated that his family’s hardship were none of the public’s concern just as any of their medical conditions were none of his.

It was a political nightmare to say the least but in the end, and thanks to some help from the Champions, Councilman Crockett kept his spot on the city council as well as exposed those in the city government who were secretly supporters of S.H.O.C.K. (who had been targeting Isaiah because of his public profile). When the dust settled Donald Henderson discreetly approached the Crockett family with an offer of having Isaiah attend his newly built Arcadian Academy and both Isaiah’s mother and father couldn’t think of a safer place for their son to go.

Unfortunately S.H.O.C.K. continues to go after Isaiah as well as his classmates now, and fighting their mechs have become a bit of an old bit to them. So much so that they now make jokes about ‘random robot attack day’.

Real Name: Jennifer Takeda
Height: 5’1”
Weight: 103 lbs
Hair: Black
Eye Color: Brown

Complications:
Bitch: Because of her condition, Hazmat has become bitter and can be very blunt and hateful at times, even though deep down, she has a good heart.

Disability: Hazmat is a constant threat to others around her without her containment suit so she has to wear it all times around others or risk hurting or even killing them with her radiation.

Predjuice: T-Cell victim.

Relationships: Despite her bitchiness, Hazmat does care about her teammates, especially Mettle, who she sees as a kindred spirit.

Temper: Hazmat has a quick temper that can cause her to make rash decisions.

Background: One of many children affected by the radiation released during the Terminus Invasion of the 1990s, Jennifer Takeda’s abilities didn’t surface until she was a teenager when her body began to subtly emit toxic amounts of radiation. The first person to be affected by this was her then-time boyfriend, who went into a coma because they’d been making out and he received a high exposure in a short period of time.

Doctors were able to quickly determine what the problem was but determining what the boy had been exposed to was another matter entirely and it wasn’t until Jennifer’s family began to exhibit signs of long-term radiation poisoning that it was realized that she was the cause. Soon after the discovery of her powers, Jennifer was diagnosed as one of the many Terminus Infected and her medical care has been taken care of by the Albright Institute ever since.

Real Name: Willaim 'Will' Stronghold
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 150 lbs
Hair: Brown
Eye Color: Brown

Complications:
Legacies: Will is the son of two heroes, the Commander and Jetstream.

Relationship: Will is dating Layla Merchant.

Uncomfortably Numb: Will suffers from bouts of periodic, body-wide numbness. This often leaves him unsure of how much pressure he is actually exerting on something which can be dangerous given his strength.

Background: The son of former heroes, the Commander and Jetstream, Will spent most of his life knowing that he was expected to follow in their footsteps and become a hero. But the problem was that his powers wouldn't seem to kick in.

A few of his friends, who were also the children of retired hereos (such as the Parr children) mainfested their powers at early ages but Will was about to enter high school and still showed no signs of being stronger than a boy his age nor being able to fly faster than a jet. Not that he let his parents know any better, in fact Will went through an elaborate ruse to fool them for most of his freshman year that made them both think he'd manifested super strength.

Then the following year S.H.O.C.K. attacked Will's high school looking for one of his classmen who secretly had powers of his own and Will saw his girlfriend, Layla, in danger while she was using her own powers to protect the other students did his powers finally manifest. Between Will, Layla and Warren Peace (the other metahuman S.H.O.C.K. had been looking for) they managed to defeat enough of the piloted mechs that the genetic terrorists withdrew.

The revelation of his newly emerged powers did get Will in trouble with his parents (though they were secretly glad he'd actually manifested them before getting into a situation he could have gotten seriously injured in) and along with Warren and Layla, Will was transferred to the Arcadian Academy.

Complications:
A Socially Minded Girl: Layla is a pacifist, a vegetarian, and a feminist. Needless to say she has many issues with modern society.

Relationship: Layla is dating Will Stronghold.

Background: Layla's mutant powers manifested when she was fairly young, around the age of eight, that was the first time she ever spoke to an animal. It was a power her mother had possessed during her short career as a super hero. Mrs. Merchant taught her daughter to keep her power a secret for now until she was older and would be better able to deal with the stresses of being a metahuman.

Over the next few years Layla developed other powers, mostly pertaining to plants and once again her mother told her to keep them a secret. Which Layla did, to everyone except her best friend Will Stronghold as he understood her plight as he was the son of two retired superheroes himself (though Will hadn't manifested any powers of his own yet).

With his support Layla was able to get through grade school and most of middle school with her secret intact. Then in high school, when a fellow student, Warren Peace, revealed his powers to protect himself from members of S.H.O.C.K. who had been tracking him due to his being the son of a now jailed super villain. Layla used her plant controlling powers to help Warren deal with his attackers, backed up by Will (who finally manifested powers of his own during the attack).

Now revealed as a metahuman, Layla was expelled from school, along with Will and Warren as well, for the saftey of their fellow students. Lucky for them Donald Henderson heard about their plight and used his social and political influence to get Layla and her friends enrolled in his newly built Arcadian Academy.

Real Name: Warren Peace
Height: 6’
Weight: 170 lbs
Hair: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Brown

Complications:
Legacy: Warren is the son of Baron Battle, a supervillain from the 1980s and many expect him to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Power Loss: Warren’s powers will not work in an airless environment.

Temper: As with other fire manipulators Warren is known for having a short fuse.

Background: Warren Peace is the son of an former superheroine Chilla and Baron Battle, a supervillain who was last active in the 1980s. Warren was given up for adoption when he was still a baby, his mother unable to deal with her being seduced by the Baron in her secret identity and fathering her child.

To sum Warren up in a word, it would angry. He had a very rough childhood and when his fire-based powers began to manifest he was examined by scientists at the Albright Institute who were able to identify who his parents were. Several people gave Warren a hard time about who his father is, many people remember all the crimes the Baron committed at the dawn of the Iron Age and his reputation has somewhat shifted to Warren as a result.

The truth is that Warren has only ever spoken to his father once, and he basically told the older man what a bastard he was after the Baron explained his entire reason for seducing Warren’s mother was simply part of his master plan to eliminate her as a foe to his future plans.

Unfortunately Warren’s general outlook and manner of dressing has given many of the older members of the superhuman community the idea that he is little more than a villain-to-be. The few that have taken the time to actually get to know Warren have found him to be a well educated and well spoken young man who is trying to figure out what to do with his life.

One of those people was Donald Henderson, who decided to help Warren out a bit and funded his bid to become an emancipated teen. Then once that goal had been accomplished Donald set Warren up with a small apartment, a part time job with the agreement that as long as Warren maintains a specific GPA and keeps the job then Henderson will pay his living expenses.

Since the opening of the Arcadian Academy, Warren has transferred from the school Henderson had enrolled him in as he wished to be near other meathuman teens as he was struggling to fit in with non-powered teens. So far the only students that Warren regularly associates with are Layla Merchant and Will Stronghold.

Complications:
Reputation: Gwen is considered to be the smartest student at the Arcadian Academy, but she doesn't let that go to her head and she's nice to everyone.

Secret: Gwen is actually the villain known as the Royal, who hasn't been seen since the early 1990s.

Background: Very little of Gwen Tenny’s life before coming to the Arcadian Academy is known. What she’s proven so far is that she’s is probably the smartest student in attendance and her cyberpathic powers are still growing.

Not that Gwen really says anything about either of these facts, and honestly she acts more like the girl next door than she does a supernerd (as she puts it). She has a large gathering of friends at the AA and the majority of them would do just about anything that Gwen would ask of them without a second’s hesitation.

Real Name: Daniel “Danny” Fenton
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 123 lbs
Hair: Black (White when in Ghost Form)
Eye Color: Blue (Green when in Ghost Form)

Complications:
Family Secrets: Danny gained his powers thanks to an accident with some equipment in his dad’s lab and Danny never told his parents about his powers. Though he did let his sister, Jazz, know (or rather she found out and promised to keep Danny’s secret) but they eventually learned of them and are very hurt by the fact that Danny lied to them for so long.

Motivation ~Responsibility: Danny feels that he needs to use his powers to others from ghost and metahuman threats.

Rival: Plasmius.

Background: One day while exploring the contents of his parent’s underground lab with his best friend Tucker, Danny stumbles into the still under construction Fenton Portal (TM) and accidently caused it to turn on. But since the portal was still a work in progress instead of opening up a gate to a dimension his father had named the ‘Ghost Zone’ and fused ectoplasm into Danny molecular structure, granting him several ‘ghost’ related abilities.

But at first nothing seemed different so Danny and Tucker simply cleaned up the mess and went on with their lives, somewhat forgetting the incident until Danny began to manifest his powers over the following month’s time until they finally broke down and used some of his parents equipment to do a check up on Danny. It was at that point that Danny learned the full effects of the accident in the lab and over the next few weeks he, along with Tucker, spent a great deal of time working to control his powers.

Not long after Danny finishes his ‘training’ a trio of ghosts show up in his town, Amity Park, seeking revenge upon the people who sent them to jail, where they died violently, for crimes they’d committed. After defeating the three ghost criminals Danny learns they were sent by a person they called Plasmius to cause chaos so he could steal certain items he needed for a device he was building that he intended to use to free all of the ghosts Danny’s father had imprisoned in the Ghost Zone in the last fifteen years.

Over the following year Danny, with Tucker’s help, fought not only Plasmius’ agents and minions but Plasmius himself in an effort to stop his plan to build a ghostly army. Plasmius was a tricky enemy for Danny as he possessed similar powers, having gone through a similar accident several years ago when he was younger, but also was very technologically savvy as well – inventing several unique devices to serve his various plots. Eventually Danny managed to finally defeat Plasmius, trapping him in the Ghost Zone.

Due to that final showdown Danny’s possession of powers became known to his parents as well as Donald Henderson, the main backer of the Arcadian Academy, who met with Danny and his family and offered him a scholarship to the school. Explaining that the AA was the perfect place for Danny to be to learn how to fully master his powers as well as give the family some time to adjust to the situation they now found themselves in.

Feeling like he needed ‘some space’ after everything he’d been through, Danny agreed to the offer with his parent’s support. So far they’ve come for a couple visits but their work as paranormal investigators keeps them very busy.

Height: 5’5”
Weight: 111 lbs
Hair: Reddish-Blonde

Complications:
The Big Sister: Starstreak is the eldest girl among her siblings and she’s often the one who acts as the “replacement mom” – resolving fights between her brothers and sister, and checking up on everyone after a fight.

Background: Dr. James Power was a brilliant physicist who discovered a process to generate energy from antimatter with the assistance of a converter, which he had made a prototype of lived in San Diego with his wife Margret and their four children; Alex, Julie, Jack and Katie. Power didn’t realize that there was an error in his formula, one which would caused a chain reaction and destroyed Earth when he would first activate his converter. This was discovered by Aelfyre “Whitey” Whitemane, a member of the Kymellian race (that looks to be a kind of human/horse hybrid) who was a xenolinguistic that had been sent to study Earth literature and learned of the coming exhibition of the converter reading over Earth newspapers. He instantly recognized that the formula had a fatal flaw; on the Kymellian home-world, a similar mistake had occurred during an similar experiment with antimatter that and had resulted in the destruction of the planet. In spite of the Kymellian policy of non-interference, Whitey secretly traveled to Earth to warn Dr. Power before the converter could be activated.

Whitey successfully reached the Powers' home in San Diego, but before he could warn Dr. Power, the Snarks, another race of aliens that wanted to obtain the secret of Antimatter for their war efforts, kidnapped Dr. Power and his wife, Margret. However, Whitey was able to rescue the Powers' four children; Alex, Julie, Jack and Kaite, using his “Sorcerer abilities” abilities (Kymellians have the latent potential for developing several different kinds of superpowers, while this is a semi-rare occurrence, those Kymellians that mast those abilities are called Sorcerers) and told them what was happening. Whitey was seriously injured while saving the Power children but before dying he passed powers on to the Power children so they could rescue their parents and prevent the Snarks from getting the secret of Antimatter.

The children, with the help of Whitey's smartship, a sentient starship, called Friday managed to stop the antimatter test by stealing and destroying the converter and rescued their parents from the Snarks as well as repelling the Snark invasion force. They decided to continue being superheroes; Alex took the codename Counterweight, Julie became Starstreak, Jack became Mass Master, and Katie became Energizer, and they had several adventures over the course of the following few years before their parents finally discovered the truth.

Among the threats they faced was an agent of SHOCK who called himself the Bogeyman that kidnapped young metahumans so that they could be brainwashed into forgetting about their powers and be subjected to Gold Omelevex to remove those forgotten powers, they also fought with the Snarks several times as an exiled, rogue Queen sought to steal the Power children’s powers so that she could conquer her home world, as well as a second invasion attempt by the main Snark fleet.

After taking their children to the Albright Institute, as the elder Powers wanted to be sure the children’s powers didn’t have any possible adverse effects on their health, they were contacted by Donald Henderson and all four of the children were soon enrolled in the Arcadian Academy.

* The Power kid’s costumes have a unique feature that allowed them to make small alterations to the alien garments as needed. The tailors of where the costumes were stored are able to repair them as well as make any changes that the kids want, which could include making the costumes able to protect from hostile environments (underwater and in space spring to mind from the series). So the Changeable Environment Immunities Feature on the costume is basically the Immunity power that can be changed around, but only 3 points worth so it will mainly do things like Immunity 1 (Underwater Suffocation) or Immunity 2 (Vacuum Environment; Space Suffocation). It only takes a round for the changes to be made, but the kids had to send the costumes back to “Elsewhere” so that the changes could be made (normally they just write down their request and put it in one of the hidden pockets of the costumes before sending them back).

Ha! I find it pretty funny that Sean was sent with a group of people to help the Arcadian Academy kids handle their powers, etc when they've got a more powerful version of Sean already there! Warren is pretty cool, but he makes Sundial a touch redundant...ooh...except Sean can fly.

Neat stuff alla round.

just curious no Sam in Dannys background? she was the one who convinced him to become a hero originally. :)
