Background: Angelica Bay was as a baby found by nuns on the steps of their orphanage and was taken in by them, growing up she developed a violently irrational hatred for other females thanks to abuse she suffered at the orphanage; once she was taken in by a young couple but later killed her adoptive mother, feeling that she was competition for her adoptive father's affections. As a result, Angelica was sent to prison afterward for her crime, which is where Dreadbolt found her and recruited her for his fledgling group, the Elite.

Seeing no other option for herself, Angelica agreed (though to be honest the smooth words and charm of Dreadbolt were much more of the reason why she joined) and soon Dreadbolt had broken her out of prison thanks to his powersuit’s teleportation ability (which conventional prisons had no defense against) and brought Angelica to his base where he presented her with the Disruptor gear and began training her in its use. A short while later, Angelica (now calling herself Disruptor) made her criminal debut by helping Dreadbolt free Elise Kimble, another young woman he’d recruited into their group.

Despite having similar experiences in life, Angelica and Elise did not get off to a good start, as both realize the other has romantic intentions towards Dreadbolt (though so far nothing has come of it aside from some petty bickering between the two young women but that could change very easily given both women’s violent natures). As the Disruptor, Angelica often strikes a target first to soften them up for one of her teammates to deal with afterwards and is normally seen moving around the area of combat taking pot shots at various opponents.

Background: Elise Kimble's father walked out on her mother when she was a toddler. Her mother was cold and distant during her childhood, and Elise became a killer-for-hire during her adolescence, killing her mother when she found out. While Elise was in jail awaiting trial for her crime she was approached by Dreadbolt with an offer to join the group he was putting together. Liking the sound of them doing what they want, when they want, to whomever they want appealed to Elise very much and she quickly agreed to his offer and a week later Dreadbolt sprung Elise from police custody while she was being transported in for part of her trial.

After spending some time becoming familiar with the Atomic Axe Dreadbolt supplied her with, Elise made her debut as the Persuader - the Elite's enforcer. She’s become known for her love of using the Atomic Axe to break anyone or anything that gets her or the group’s way.

Complications:
Being Of Motion: Because Carmon is always in motion in one way or another due to his powers, being physically prevented from moving can be painful for him.

Motivation ~Thrills: Because his powers, which were gained through the DNAscent Process, are killing him (eventually Carmon’s body will vibrate out of phase completely with the dimension attunement and he’ll discorporate into nothingness) he tries to enjoy as much of his life as he can at any given moment.

Short Attention Span: Because his powers constantly keeping him in motion, Carmon has a difficult time dealing with things that are not up to his personal speed (his DVD player is set up to play a 90 minute movie in 10 minutes, and even then he gets a little antsy for the end of the movie).

Speed Speak: Carom speaks at a hyper-accelerated level sometimes and this makes him very difficult to understand.


Background: Carom has never shared much about his past with any of his allies nor has any law enforcement agency been able to discover anything about him either. To date the only thing Carom has offered up is that he grew up in a ‘special orphanage’ with several other metahuman children until he ‘gotthehellouttathere.’

Presumably this was shortly before his first public appearance where he ended up fighting Johnny Rocket and Speed Demon, though it started off with Johnny first and when the fight made its way to New York Speed Demon joined in, it took the creative streak of both speedster heroes to counter the cruel streak Carom possesses and despite their best efforts Carom managed to escape the two heroes when it was all said and done.

At some point after that Carom was recruited by Dreadbolt into his fledgling group of younger super villains, the Elite, to act as a balance to the other members reliance on technology to supply their powers.

Background: Angelina Brancale was something of a prodigy with a computer but her slight weight problem left her the butt of many cruel and mean pranks by her classmates. Eventually Angelina began to suffer from depression from all the taunting and tricks played upon her, which led to her turning to food for comfort, which led to her putting on more weight which led to even meaner and nastier puns in a vicious cycle that left Angelina an morbidly obsess shut in. The only way she survived was because the modern world allowed her to take care of all of her needs via computer – from ordering take out, having her laundry picked up to be washed and returned to her, as well as having her groceries delivered to her front door and her bank account was automatically billed so she didn’t have to bother with making payments face to face.

Even her job as an online computer technician allowed her to work from the safety of home. The only problem was that Angelina had little to no actual human contact and she often found herself to be horribly lonely but her fear of what others would have to say about her appearance. Though she did have a very active life online – she was considered to be one of the most popular online personalities with something to say about virtually any and every topic being talked about in social media.

But that’s not the same thing as having a live person hold your hand unfortunately.

Angelina decided to turn to her computer once again to solve this problem of hers and after months of researching some of the most cutting edge technologies in the field of virtual reality Angelina read about Gabe Crowell and his creation known as the H.A.G (Hard-light Avatar Generator). Despite the fact that Crowell had eventually turned his use of the H.A.G. to crime as the super villain the Gamemaster, Angelina felt that his invention was the key to solving her problem, she just needed to get a look at its specs.

That was nothing for someone with Angelina's level of computer skill and with a few days worth of effort she had hacked her way into Crowell’s former employer's mainframe and got what she was looking for. For weeks Angelina poured over the design specifications of the H.A.G., pushing her knowledge of electronics until she was sure that the device would suit her needs. She then set to assembling the machine, which took her much longer than she liked as several of the parts had to be routed through fake names and P.O. boxes to keep her work a secret.

Finally assembling her customized version of the H.A.G., Angelina hooked herself up to it and created her new body - perfect, powerful and looking like she'd always wanted to appear. Angelina quickly learned that her 'new body' was much more physically powerful than she'd ever be and decided to never want for anything ever again, turning to a life of super crime to support herself. It was after her third robbery that she was approached by Dreadbolt, who was looking to bolster the ranks of his group, the Elite, by adding metahumans whose powers weren't dependent upon technology. Liking the sound of his offer, and craving the companionship that membership would give her, Stunner joined and hasn't looked back since.

Secret: Sunburst is actually the granddaughter of Sundial, come back in time to ensure that her timeline continues.


Background: The details of Deborah Morgan’s early life aren’t known to members of law enforcement but she’s taken to the life of super crime with a zeal that few indulge in. She doesn’t seem to care if she gets away with whatever it is she was trying to take or not, it seems that she’s more interested in getting into fights with different super heroes than any kind of criminal profit.

Her chaotic style is what attracted Deadbolt to her as he thought that would help make his group, the Elite a bit more difficult for heroes to handle. The talk to convince Sunburst to join was a lot longer than Dreadbolt had expected as she questioned him on several matters he’d thought nobody else was really too aware of, but in the end Sunburst joined the Elite.

Now if she can use them like she plans then things will be alright and she can get the hell out of this backwards time.

Mentally Unbalanced: Due to years of abuse at the hands of his father and his own powers, Zoo Keeper is subject to severe mood swings and rages that can leave him easily influenced by others.

Motivation ~Revenge: Zoo Keeper is driven to make Beast Boy pay for causing the death of his father (even though this is a product of his unbalanced mind).


Background: Dr. Samuel Register Sr. was a skilled geneticist who studied the biology of animals in an effort to develop vaccines against various diseases. One day his six-year-old son, Samuel Jr. (or as he preferred Sam), who was often at his father's lab, was bitten by a green-capped monkey the senior Register had been studying. The animal's bite infected the boy with an extremely rare virus known as Sakutia; Register worked to quickly culled together a serum that ended up mutating the Sakutia virus within his son's body - diminishing its lethality. However, Sam still suffered from an unforeseen side effect of the contagion - his skin turned purple in color and took on a scale-like texture. Weeks later Dr. Register noticed that Sam was now somehow able to communicate with animals on a basic level that other people could not and became convinced that he had inadvertently discovered the missing biogenetic link between animals and humans.

Dr. Register became obsessed with his new research, and pursued it to extreme ends - confining Sam to his at-home lab to better study the other possible effects the serum had on him. Years later Dr. Register secured a position with A.S.T.R.O. Labs, at their Bay City facility. A.S.T.R.O. placed him in charge of their abnormal and extraterrestrial disease program based upon the work he'd done over the years that was secretly based upon data he'd gained from studying Sam's unique biology. Dr. Register continued to experiment with biogenetics and accomplished many breakthroughs in his efforts to bridge the gap between animal and man.

At some point Dr. Register's sanity broke down between the stress he had been subjecting himself to over his work and the guilt he felt over his treatment of Sam, and he eventually had a full breakdown - stealing a sample of a mutated strain of the Sakutia virus from the local CDC laboratory and began working to create his very own animal army. During his researching of the altered Sakutia, Dr. Register discovered that the virus had mutated even further than he'd realized and had become airborne, which allowed it to bypass the quarantine guidelines he’d been following. Within a short span of time, every child under the age of thirteen within the Bay City area found themselves suddenly shape shifting into a wide range of green-colored animals. As fate would have it, Garfield Logan, a local teen hero known as Beast Boy, was among those affected but the airborne Sakutia virus instead altered Logan's biochemistry, reversing the effects of his Wildstrike mutations - his skin was no longer red and he could no longer transform into other animals. Logan eventually turned to Dr. Register for medical consultation on the problem.

The senior Register believed that Beast Boy’s blood held the key to the cure to the altered virus as well as a possible cure for Sam's condition and rendered the teen hero unconscious with a tranquilizer dart then prepared to cut him open in an effort to obtain a large enough sample of the mutated hero’s DNA to work with. It was at that moment that one of Beast Boy's classmates from the Arcadian Academy, Will Stronghold, smashed his way into the laboratory having come looking for Beast Boy after his being gone for a while, and he tackled Dr. Register away from Beast Boy. In the ensuing struggle Sam was freed from his cage but his mind had become more animalistic over the years his exposure to the mutated Sakutia virus had granted him the ability to alter his shape into that of any animal he could image, and he transformed into a giant serpent then carried his fight with Will Stronghold to outside the lab.

Beast Boy knew that the only way to stop a changeling was with another changeling; so he injected himself with a sample of Dr. Register's stolen Sakutia virus, infecting himself and regaining all of his previous powers. Transforming into a giant red Tyrannosaurus Rex, Beast Boy fought with Sam on the streets of Bay City, and after getting in close Beast Boy transformed into a Sydney Funnel Web Spider and then rendered Sam unconscious with a poison bite. This allowed Dr. Register the time he needed to treat Sam with a serum he came up with based on a sample of Beast Boy’s blood that stabilized Sam in a manner similar to Beast Boy – though his skin remained purple and he could still transform into animals. A short while later Dr. Register died from complications related to Sakutia infection; he’d been infected when Will Stronghold first broke into his lab and had kept his infection a secret from everyone.

Still somewhat mentally unbalanced due to the years of abuse he'd suffered at his father's hands combined with the shock of his death, Sam ran off on his own and disappeared for several months. During that time he gained better control over his powers though his mental state was still questionable as he blamed Beast Boy for his father's death. At some point Dreadbolt managed to track Sam down and convinced him that by joining Dreadbolt and the others he'd gathered that he would be able to get revenge upon Beast Boy and since then Sam has been part of the as the Zoo Keeper.

Reputation: Martin is known for being strict but fair, more than likely due to his military background, and it has sometimes put him in conflict with those working with him but he also trusts his subordinates and has repeatedly defended them from unfair criticism by command bureaucracy.

Secret: Taylor has recently started a relationship with FORCE Ops member Dovetail, but due to her public identity and his job they’re keeping things under wraps to keep things simple.


Background: Born in 1973 to an working class Catholic family in New York City, Martin Taylor was the third of five children. He attended Our Lady of Mercy for nine years before going to high school and upon graduation he joined the Marine Corps where he took part in Operation: Desert Storm, eventually achieving the rank of Sergeant.

Deciding that he'd seen enough of the world, Taylor took an honorable discharge and moved to Freedom City where he attended the police academy, passing in the top three percent of his class. From there he was recruited into the then fledgling S.T.A.R. Squad due to his military background and he developed a reputation for being a leader who would lead from the front, a trait earned him the loyalty of many of the men who served in the unit with him. After a few years Taylor decided he wanted to do more than deal with just the fallout from various superhuman crimes and he eventually earned a promotion to Detective, where he dealt with more mundane crimes, though from time to time he'd be assigned to special cases where his knowledge of supervillains were useful.

This eventually brought Taylor to the attention of Mayor O'Connor, who wanting something of a police liaison to the newly formed team of heroes in Freedom City - FORCE OPs. It was in this capacity that Taylor first met the group; Dovetail, Abaddon, Magnus, K-9, H4ck, Utu, and Livewire. Together they worked out the protection detail of Marko Worth, the leader of the Worthy (a popular white supremacist group) and when H4ck discovered that Worth was actually a psychic using his powers to stir up the violence at the rally FORCE Ops wasted no time in taking him down and handing him off to Taylor.

In the time since Taylor hasn’t had many dealings with FORCE Ops aside from when they worked with FCPD to capture the criminal group, the Royals, when they attempted to rob the mob controlled casino and the Thieves’ Guild showed up to rob the same casino by chance.

Background: The being known as Riproar is a newer member of the Overriders, it's not known exactly when he joined them but his possession of a Wyldride makes it clear he's part of that group.

Recently he's managed to find a way from the Warpwold to Earth where he started exploring in order to determine if it could be a place where the Overriders could use as a new place to hide from Omega given how this is the one place that has resisted Omega's invasion attempts not just once but twice.

Bloodlust: Because of his powers making his brain more like that of a predatory animal than a human, Copperhead can sometimes become too aggressive.

Motivation ~Greed: Copperhead is driven to earn as much money as he can for the work he does.


Background: The criminal known as Copperhead first appeared in Bay City, committing numerous thefts before finally being apprehended by Seeker of the Champions. Copperhead then turned to more deadly pursuits as a super-assassin; constricting victims to a suffocating death by wrapping his body around them thanks to his contortionist skills and then flexing all of his muscles simultaneously.

Copperhead's first job was to assassinate an important finance minister at an Economic Conference being held in New York City. Fortunately for the minister local hero the Grasshopper was in the area and attempted to prevent Copperhead from fulfilling his contract, but the young hero underestimated Copperhead and the snake-themed villain completed his contract.

Later Copperhead was hired by gangster Ira Scarlatti to kill a New York City police detective who was getting close to connecting Ira to certain criminal activities he was involved with along with David Rhodes. Copperhead's first attempt was thwarted by a friend of the detective, Chase Ramsey (who also is the costumed vigilante Manhunter), and Ramsey knew that Copperhead would try again to complete his contract and began secretly following his friend so he could catch Copperhead and find out exactly who had hired him to go after Ramsey's friend. The two fought a few times as Manhunter kept interfering with Copperhead's attacks on the detective and eventually Copperhead was defeated and sent to prison (though he managed to escape shortly after).

Copperhead continues to be an assassin and has traveled across the country on various jobs, and sometimes running into local heroes while trying to complete his contracts.

Yeah. TM and I were actually having a discussion about that the other day. It might be either at the start of the next adventure oraybe even during this one once it gets to a place where it makes sense for her to show up again. I've been enjoying the adventure without her. Dovetail has a way of dominating the narrative just by way of her personality. That's something I need to work on as a player but its nice to see how the other characters kind of step in while she's not around
