Is there a specific check to find someone with a Foci or do I just need to say "Milo destroys a Foci"?

This is relevant to my next turn coming up shortly.

The chains of light linking foci and portals make it pretty clear who has one. You can thank The Shield and Traci 13 for that

So we can just snatch one from a student wearing them and break is automatically? Not based on a damage effect dc ala attacking objects?

Just want to be sure since tue only reference we have is an NPC breaking one

Yep; they are made of baked clay. Very folksy artsy etsy stuff. Characters with Strength 4+ could even crush one between their fingers.

So a damage 4 effect (since it's no different than strength 4 for causing damage) will auto break them? I think literally all of us can manage something that effect.

If you want to scare the crap out of a student by shooting at them, sure. You need Precise on your effect, tho', maybe even Precise Attack, since they are under their shirts, mostly.
