Bound By Honor: Dragonfist owed a debt of honor to the previous Dragoneye that has now shifted to his daughter. Despite the fact he would rather not perform the evil deeds she sets before him, Dragonfist complies until a time he has sufficiently repaid the debt.

Enemy: Dragoneye.


Background: A martial artist who has mastered manipulating his chi for various uses, he found himself honor-bound to work for the previous Dragoneye several years ago. When the older man died his daughter, Feng-Li, who had became the acting leader of the Golden Dragon Society, inherited Dragonfist's pledge of loyalty and continues to have him act as an enforcer for the organization.

He's often paired with Merciless Ming, another metahuman operative of the Golden Dragon Society, who keeps an eye on him.

Criminal Life: Merciless Ming is a known super-criminal and is wanted by AEGIS for all of his various crimes.

Background: Sing Ku was an enforcer for the former Dragoneye, a mystic mobster who ruled much of Emerald City's China Town. A mutant, Sing Ku eventually developed superhuman strength, toughness and speed. Falling in with the Dragoneye's gang, the Golden Dragon Society, the mystic crimelord had Sing trained in martial arts to augment his physical abilities. Over time, Merciless Ming, as Sing Ku came to be known, worked his way up so that he worked directly for his master, and since the Dragoneye’s death Ming has led the search to find his successor. The new Dragoneye, however, chose a more virtuous path, and Ming is now trying to either persuade him to take his ‘rightful place’ as the new leader of the criminal clan, or kill him so that a new Dragoneye can be chosen.

Power Loss: Sombra is a metahuman with superhuman strength and stamina, but if those powers were nullified his abilities would become Strength 1, Stamina 1 and he’d lose his Feats Of Superhuman Strength array as well.

Power Loss: Sombra has managed to somehow learn a small bit of magic, which he calls his ‘Dark Energy’ but as with other mages he needs to be able to speak and gesture to cast any of those few spells he knows.


Background: Nothing about the past of the man calling himself Sombra is known to members of the law enforcement community, his past is a mystery they’ve yet to unravel. He seems to have fixated on the new hero Shade, who operates in Emerald City for some reason; it could be personal or not but whatever might be the reason Sombra is determined to end his heroic career.

Weakness: Being teleported by others interacts negatively with some quirk of Cheshire Cat's mutant physiology, causing him great pain. (Treat him as Stunned for the round following being teleported by another)


Background: Robert ‘Bob’ Johanssen was a nuclear plant worker, not very good at his job but good enough to not get fired. He was also married, but there he proved to not be good enough, as his wife to left him for another man. Bob had been an undiagnosed bipolar, normally a bit depressed but never bad enough to draw the attention of his doctor, when Bob was served the divorce papers he attempted suicide - by walking into the nuclear furnace of the facility where he worked.

Bob survived only because his mutant power of teleportation manifested at the last minute, placing him just on the other side of the protective door, when he realized that he actually wanted to live but had already locked himself in the furnace.

Deciding to use his newly gained powers to make money and show his wife she had been wrong to leave him, the amateur martial artist became the super criminal Cheshire Cat, professional thief. He’s been moderately successful over the years, having clashed with a number of heroes but still managing to get away with most of his loot about half of the time.

Motivation ~Greed: Cyclone wants money and is willing to do pretty much anything to get it; robbery, kidnapping, extortion, and blackmail are just a few examples.


Background: The Scarlatti Family has had their ups and downs in dealing with the local heroes of Bay City over the years, and they have tried several times to develop their own superhuman agents to deal with them.

One of their early ventures was to have Fabricators Inc. develop a weapon that would be small enough to be incorporated into a special suit but was easy to operate. What they came up with was a device that generated high velocity tornado-like winds that they were able to miniaturize and fit into a form-fitting outfit.

Peter Fresson was a low-ranking member of the Scarlatti Family who was given the power suit to test, thinking that Fresson would be easily controlled by his superior, but Fresson demonstrated a natural skill with the abilities the suit bestowed and he quickly established himself as a skilled super crook. After a few years of working for the Scarlattie Family, during which time he’d faced off with members of the Champions and other local heroes of Bay City, Fresson no longer wished to work for them and stole the suit to become a freelance criminal.

At this point and time he’s been active as Cyclone now for over eight years and has led a fairly colorful career but he’s never been able to pull off that ‘big score’ that would set him up for life and let him retire from super crime.

Disability: Halloween Jack is loopy as a loon and sometimes his criminal motives can be difficult to deduce.

Motivation ~Chaos: Halloween Jack wants to spread chaos as far and as wide as he possibly can.

Prejudice: Halloween Jack’s looks mark him as an obvious metahuman.

Weakness: Halloween Jack is vulnerable to electrical based attacks, he suffers a -5 penalty to any Resistance Check against them.


Background: Jordan Boone was a researcher for Redshift Energies, specializing in biophysics and had been one of the leads in developing the nanites that ended up being responsible for the Silver Storm (which were secretly based on alien tech). As it were Boone was one of the people that had been riding on the Redshift Energies transport that was transporting the shipment that became the Silver Storm; as a result Boone and the other Redshift Energies employees were some of the more heavily transformed victims of that event.

In Boone’s case his skin became green and scaly while his eyes turned deep red and his hair turned chalk white. His appearance was so radically different that when Boone first saw himself in the rearview mirror of the transport that he didn’t recognize himself. But because of his transformation, Boone experienced an epiphany; if he is going to look like a monster, he would be a monster of his own design. He would devote his life to embracing the horror of life and to shoving it into the faces of as many people as he could.

Calling himself Halloween Jack, Boone was among the Stormers to run rampant on Yellow Brick Row until the local heroes of Emerald City, along with a few other Stormers who’d managed to resist the madness the Silver Storm seemed to instill in the majority of its victims, were able to restore order along with agents of AEGIS. But Halloween Jack managed to slip away before anyone could notice and he somehow managed to disable both the second Commander’s and Tellax’s ability to control Stormers as he was not present either time a Stormer army was assembled.

In the time since Halloween Jack has only made one other appearance; robbing the local ASTRO Lab for certain parts he needed for some device he was putting together, something he was calling Virtual Unreality.

The Royal Future: Salamandra is supposed to be on Earth looking for a consort to sire a royal child with her so that her family's bloodline will continue.


Background: Coming from the planet Vespa where her family had ruled for over three hundred years her ancestors had married others in an effort to breed for strength and power, something that Salamandra resolved to continue. As part of the Lor Republic Salamandra learned of the metahumans of Earth, something which aroused her curiosity as her prospects for potential mates on Vespa were not to her liking.

Deciding to travel to Earth to see what kind of possible sires there were among the metahuman population, Salamandra has been watching television signals as she travels with a small entourage of warriors and hand maidens. So far Salamandra has seen several potential sires and plans on testing their mettle to be sure they meet the high standards she requires to produce an heir.

How well this will go over remains to be seen.

Motivation ~ Greed: Wreckin' Bill wants money and power.


Background: Bill Harris was just at the wrong place at the wrong time; getting caught in the Silver Storm when he stopped for a lunch break on Yellow Brick Row. Like most of the others changed by the Silver Storm Bill lashed out in pain and confusion, using his powers without care as to who he might injure.

A stray attack by Shade knocked Bill out of the fight and when he woke up he'd been shocked back to sense and wisely decided to get the hell out of there before the cops showed up. However Bill was among the Stormers controlled by Tellax to be part of the alien robot's army to take over the world, and once again he was defeated by Shade.

Once again luck seemed to be on Bill's side when he again recovered quicker than the others and left the scene before the authorities arrived. Now months later Bill has returned to being a super villain because he likes it better than holding down a normal job (as his abrasive personality makes it difficult for him to keep a regular job). Bill enjoys using his power to instill fear in others and he often confuses fear with respect.

Guilt: Alea feels guilt over not being able to save her boyfriend Guy during the chaos of the Silver Storm.

Relationship: Alea's only friend at this point is her friend Vince Richards.

Prejuice: Obvious metahuman.


Background: Alea Reed was an independent jewelry maker with a steady boyfriend, Guy, and a small shop (Spinel) on Yellow Brick Row when the Silver Storm happened. After being engulfed in the energies released that day Alea woke up in the remains of her shop and there were others there, people who had been warped worse than she had by the Silver Storm that were destroying her shop. She screamed at them to stop but they ignored her, lost in their own pain and madness brought on by it.

It wasn't until she say Guy's body in the rubble that Alea moved, trying to dig him free which brought her into the way of one of the people demolishing the place. But when the man pointed a hand at Alea, unleashing a bolt of some kind of energy she just had enough time to bring her hands up in front of her in an effort to try to block the coming attack but instead of her and Guy being torn apart in the ensuing blast instead streamed right into her outstretched hands, swirling around her hands and arms clear up to her elbows and Alea felt like she was about to burst suddenly - like her body was too full all of the sudden and as the internal pressure built she wished it would get out of her.

Then just as suddenly as she'd absorbed the blast an exact duplicate of it shot out of her arms, hitting the surprised Stormer right in the chest and knocked him back into the wall behind him where he fell in a heap to the floor knocked out from the force of impact while his mad companion ran off at the realization there was a larger threat present in the shop.

After that Alea tried to tend to Guy's injuries but it was too late; he'd been crushed by the rubble of the shop. Heartbroken, Alea has been operating on auto-pilot in a manner of speaking: she's rebuilt her shop thanks to her insurance and city funds made available to the businesses damaged during the Silver Storm and continues to make jewelry but she doesn't go out anymore due to her loss and the looks she gets from others thanks to her new looks caused by her mutation by the Silver Storm.

So far the only friend she has been able to relie on is Vince Richards, as he wouldn't leave her alone at first and he finally managed to somewhat break through the emotional walls she's put up because of her loss.

Granted I did a few things different with her to make her fit the role of a newly powered Stormer but the basics of her powers are the same.

Hhhmmm, That's Interesting...: Vince has a very curious nature and will often look more into people, things, places that he finds interesting, amusing, or just plain odd.

Relationship: Vince is close with his friend, Alea Reed.

Reputation: Vince is known by many to be something of a smartass.


Background: During his mid-teens, Vince Richards’ power manifested but it wasn’t anything flashy like laser vision, superhuman strength or superhuman speed; instead his body was immune to the effects of fatigue, which allowed him to push his body past the normal limits of human endurance as well as eliminating his need for sleep.

So for several years Vince spent his nights reading over various books and information sources (thank you Wikipedia) to fill his night time hours. This allowed him to easily pass high school with a 4.0 average and made college a breeze, as he was able to absorb much more information than his peers and cramming for exams were no trouble (Vince also holds his fraternity’s record for being able to drink the most amount of liquor in one night, a record he is highly proud of) and when he graduated it was with a degree in history.

During the course of his college years Vince had dabbled in the stock market, thanks to the advice of one of his frat brothers and he was able to make a sizeable profit from his efforts, enough that he was able to start up an antique business in Emerald City after he’d graduated. Of course with his lack for sleep Vince is able to do a great deal of purchasing on overseas actions that are happening during late night hours due to the time difference and he’s managed to purchase several valuable pieces for a third of the price he was able to sell them for.

Of course he’s also stilling dabbling in many various pursuits to fill his late night hours; from martial arts, to weight lifting, artistic interests and pretty much anything a person could name. As a result there are few subjects that Vince doesn’t have some kind of knowledge of and between that and his natural good looks and developed physique he’s developed a well deserved reputation as a charming, well educated, member of the historic and art communities in Emerald City. He sits on a few different boards that pertain to maintaining the historic sections of Emerald City and he knows a lot of people in all the right places.

A few years ago Vince came across a unique stone in one of the relics he’d bought; a red gem that seemed to almost hum with some kind of unseen power to it. Soon he had removed the gem from the old tiara it had been set into, despite the fact that doing do ruined the piece and cost him over a thousand dollars Vince never gave it too much thought as the gem fascinated him in a way no other antique ever had.

As he played with it between his fingers Vince could almost swear he could see tiny streaks of a dull colored energy play out across the stone’s surface and when he held the gem up overhead to get some better light on it while concentrating on the energy he unleashed a bolt of energy that vaporized the hanging light.

Realizing he had something that was pretty extraordinary, Vince decided to play around with the gem and soon had crafted a headpiece to hold it where it was still in contact with him but left his hands open. Using his basement as a makeshift targeting range, Vince practiced with the gem until he’d developed a few other tricks with it as well as a degree of control he was comfortable with.

Now whether or not he will use it to become a hero isn't clear at this point. This is mostly because Vince has been helping his friend Alea Reed deal with the changes in her life after the Silver Storm; during which her boyfriend was killed and she gained powers of her own. Vince has stayed close to the young woman, keeping her from becoming a total recluse and does his best to keep her spirits up despite the troubles she's suffered lately.

Thanks Eld, the 365 characters are fun bunch from what I've read (granted it's a combination of my reading over Crinos' posts about them & the site) but I've not looked over all of them. I'd like to use more of them but it's going to take a bit of time for me to build the ones I want to use since I'll need to figure out where I want to use them in the setting.
