The Delete option when editing one's own posts seems to be missing! Is this intentional? Will it be back?

Thanks!

Is this in a particular forum or have you checked more than one? The permissions are set on a forum-by-forum basis, you see, and I could very well have missed a box here or there. Also, some forums have specialized permissions on purpose.

To be less obfuscatory: In which forum are you not seeing this option?

Thanks!

So there are some forums where it is intentional. Which ones are they?

And is there anyway to get them back in the places where they are intentional?

Sorry Sassy!

The particular forum of which I speak is the Second Edition Rules forum.

Hmm... Were you logged in at the time? The delete post button should appear on any post you, er, posted, as long as you're logged in.

This forum seems to be the same way for me.

As regards whether I am logged in, the top section of the page, just under the banner links, gives me the option to log out chatty, so I am pretty sure I am logged in.

Also, I can EDIT my old posts. Just not delete them. This is using both Firefox and IE browsers. I will find out as much other information as I can.

Thanks
Christopher

Interestingly, IMMEDIATELY after I post, a little box with an X appears in the upper right corner of the last message I posted, as though I can delete it. I will test this theory by posting this twice and then deleting one of them!

OK so it appears that I can delete the last thing I posted in a thread. Or at least that worked once.

I would guess that the delete post option appears until someone else posts to the same thread, and that this is by design.
