 Trade-offs: +3 Def/ -3 Toughness
 Here he is Speedy Gonzales, the fastest mouse in Mexico.
 My whole design philosophy here was that Speedy is a character that epitomizes the idea of dodging an attack rather than taking it and bouncing back like most Looney Tunes characters. His feats and skills really emphasize that.
 Speedy's whole schtick is his speed, he has virtually nothing else. His skills are good enough to be useful. The only reason his Stealth is so high is because of his size.

what about Redirect feat for Speedy?

Postby MrBun » Wed Aug 23, 2006 2:59 am

Nice Speedy Gonzales. It's interesting because I kept looking at him and wondering how to play him, and one of the things that keeps floating in my head is the Redirect feat. I think it works with the cartoon as well. The adversary going to hit him, but Speedy dodges the last minute and it turns out behind Speedy was an anvil, etc so the adversary got hurt.

What do you think?

Redirect, not bad. I'm going to have to fiddle with a few of the builds, particularly Bugs, to get them to represent the fact that they can appearently summon anvils and other large objects from thin air. I'm also going to see about adding a Permeate effect for Road Runner so he can run through painted on tunnels.

For some reason I feel compelled to do Duck Dodger of the 24th and 1/2 Century! I think I'll do Dodger as a a PL8 character, just so he matches Marvin in terms of power. The only problem that I foresee is that Dodgers is basically Daffy is a silly costume, and some extra kit.

The anvil dropping can use Probability Control's power stunt in UP, Damage: "As a standard action, you can cause a damaging "accident" to befall someone: a load of bricks falls on them, they're hit by a car, or by a bolt of lightning out of the blue; anything you can reasonably justify to the GM as possible"...very Warner Bros.-esque. It's built with a Perception Range Penetrating Damage.

Hurray, Speedy's up!

The only thing I'd suggest is a rank of Attractive. He's apparently very popular with the lady mice. :P

But if I add a rank of Attractive he'll be 86 point, fouling my perfectly divisible 85 points. That and I don't think it really applies, he's just generally Bluffy and what not, he just doesn't apply himself to Bluffing most gentlemen mice.

Yosemite Sam

"Varmint, I'm a-gonna blow you to smithereens!"

Power Level: 7 (96 power points)
Abilities: STR 16(+3) DEX 15(+2) CON 18(+4) INT 8(-1) WIS 9(-1) CHA 5(-3)
Size: Medium
Skills: Benefit 1 (Wealth), Bluff 4 (+1), Disguise 4 (+1), Drive 8 (+10), Handle Animal 4 (+3), Intimidate 12 (+9), Notice 4 (+3), Perform (Singing) 1 (-2), Ride 8 (+10), Stealth 4 (+2)
Feats: All-out Attack, Attack Focus (Ranged) 2, Critical Strike, Defensive Roll 5, Equipment 5, Favored Opponent (Anthropomorphic cartoon animals), Minions 2, Power Attack
Powers: Regeneration 35 (Total Regeneration)
Combat: Attack +2 Defense 14 (Flat-footed: 12) Initiative +2
Grapple: +5 (Attack - +2,Strength - +3,Size - +0)
Saves: Toughness +4 Fortitude +8 Reflex +5 Willpower -1

Lifting: 230 lb.
Equipment (25 points):
Heavy Pistol (8.), Heavy Pistol (8.), Leather Jacket (1)

Complications:
Rivalry (Bugs Bunny), Temper (Easily angered)
Drawbacks:
Not sneaky (-4 to Stealth checks;Uncommon,Minor)
Cost Summary:
Ability 11 + Skills 13 (49 Ranks) + Feats 18 + Powers 35 + Combat 12 + Saves 7 - Drawbacks -1 = 96

 Trade-off : -3 Att/ +3 Dam; -3 Def/ +3 Tou
 Sam doesn't meet his caps without using his feats, and I'd allow him to fire both pistols as an autofire attack, in the cartoons he certainly shoots fast enough.
 I like his draw back, its really to represent the fact that Sam is just awful at sneaking up on stuff. I think it has something to do with "sneaking music" playing out of the blue whenever he tries. So when Sam tries to sneaky up on Captain Thunder our erstwhile superhero can't help but notice the little twerp with his music.

I only have two of the Looney Tunes left, Sylvester and Tweety. After this I'm open to suggestions. For the moment I'd like to avoid the WB characters (Yakko, Wakko and Dot for example) largely because I'll need to downlo... er watch more episodes first. If you have other cartoons you'd like to see let me know.

I was thinking of doing Scooby Doo and the Mystery Solvers complete with the Mystery Machine. If I do expect Fred to be the Dick-in-a-neckerchief version. I like the Hanna-Barbera toons so I may also give the Flintstones a go as well. I have a few ideas for Bam-Bam and Yogi Bear.

Actually that reminds me, I was going to do some Disney characters to show the other side of animation. The Dark Side as it were.

As for more Looney Tunes, Gossamer isn't a bad idea. One of my buddies at work actually suggested that one. Geez, how sad is that, I can have a meaningful conversation about cartoons at work. And Beleriphon said, "Look at me I'm all grown up!"

As for Jessica Rabbit (which mean that I'll have to do Roger) its going to be heaps of charisma on a low PL template base, that and more ranks of Attractive then you can shake a stick at. Well maybe a really big stick that be shaken to achieve the desired result.

Jessica Rabbit

"I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."

Power Level: 7 (80 power points)
Abilities: STR 10(+0) DEX 14(+2) CON 14(+2) INT 15(+2) WIS 13(+1) CHA 22(+6)
Size: Medium (oh the irony)
Skills: Bluff 4 (+10), Diplomacy 4 (+10), Gather Information 6 (+12), Perform (Singing) 12 (+18 ), Sense Motive 4 (+5), Sleight of Hand 4 (+6)
Feats: Attractive 2, Connected, Contacts, Defensive Roll 4, Distract (Bluff), Equipment 3, Fascinate (Perform), Ultimate Effort (Skill (Perform))
Powers: Regeneration 12 [Ability Damage (5 minutes), Recovery Rate (Bruised - 1 Round), Recovery Rate (Disabled - 1 hour), Recovery Rate (Injured - 1 minute), Recovery Rate (Staggered - 5 minutes)]
Combat: Attack +2, Defense 13 (Flat-footed: 11), Initiative +2
Grapple: +2 (Attack - +2,Strength - +0,Size - +0)
Saves: Toughness +2 Fortitude +4 Reflex +4 Willpower +4
Lifting: 100 lb.
Equipment (15 points):
Light Pistol (6), Midsize Car (7)
Complications:
Fame (Duh....), Reputation (Again duh...), Responsibility (Roger Rabbit)

Cost Summary:
Ability 28 + Skills 9 (34 Ranks) + Feats 14 + Powers 12 + Combat 10 + Saves 7 = 80

 Jessica is nigh useless in a fight, but put up against a man that she wants to Bluff and she will own them.
 Her regeneration is interesting, unlike the Looney Tunes characters Jessica never displayed their ability to just shrug off lethal amounts of damage, I don't think she's that kind of character. Expect Roger to just shrug off damage though.

 Here she is, the sexy sultry wife of a deranged 'toon.
 The picture is actually Heidi Klum from some issue or other of GQ. I don't know about any of the other fellas on the boards, but this one works for me.
 Jessica is nigh useless in a fight, but put up against a man that she wants to Bluff and she will own them.

 Again picture. :!:

Nice build

As for her size, when it's all said and done she averages out to Medium, given the Tiny waist and Large "other attributes."
