 taking a page from the movies, i decided to give spidey an obsession towards responsibility. try as much as he'd like, Spidey will go out and do the right thing every night, regardless of his mental or physical well-being, and i mean even beyond the usual sort of heroic perogatives

Seriously - since nobody gets hurt, it could just be that Launchpad getting on a plane renders it a single-use item.

Or he has an uncontrolled Disintegration, only affects planes, only when done with flight to destination.
Yeah, it's always fun to think about how to stat a character quirk. I just threw that out as a lark. :D

 darkwing duck's evil twin from an alternate universe, negaduck of course uses most of DW's stats, but aimed more towards rampant destruction. plus, c'mon, he can use chainsaws like throwing stars. that's gotta count for something, right?

 and, it is my humble duty to repost what is perhaps the best deathtrap speech ever written outside of gothic literature
The science of pain. Oooh, gives me chills! *approaches Gizmoduck, who is wired into a huge device* This devilish device drains your beloved Gizmosuit, keeping you weak. But, when I throw The Switch, the energy reversal will...fry you!
Gizmoduck: You cad! You, you, you...CAD!

*Negaduck next approaches Neptunia, who is shackled down under a pair of sunlamps.*
Negaduck: When these nuclear-fusion sunlamps are activated by The Switch, we're gonna have ourselves a big ol' fish-fry! *Neptunia attempts to bite Negaduck* Missed, nyah-nyah!
Stegmutt: *off-screen* Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy...

*Negaduck approaches Stegmutt, who is floating in a giant chamber.*
Negaduck: Oh, not so strong when you're weightless, are you? I hope you can hold your breath a long time, because all the air is going to be sucked out of this chamber when I throw The Switch!
Stegmutt: Oh, boy...

*Negaduck approaches Morgana, who is strapped into a chair, with her head in a gigantic vise.*
Negaduck: *laughs* And you, my little pretty, in the mystical-power draining vice, you're going to have your little bitty head squooshed flat...when I throw The Switch. And without further ado...The Switch!

*He dramatically reveals a button (yes, button) and pushes it. Repeatedly. Nothing happens.*
Negaduck: Oops. That's not it. It must be...this one! *pushes a small switch; nothing happens* No. That leaves...this one. *reveals a BIG switch* Bye-bye, heroes.
- "Justice Ducks Unite Pt. 2"

*after throwing The Switch, as he pulls out a chainsaw and advances on Darkwing*
"Now it's time to say good-bye TO ALL OUR COMPANY!!"

Will we be seeing other villains from Darkwing Duck? He said hoping the answer is yes.

in all likelyhood, i will write up 4 more, as quackerjack can probably run from my earlier joker or toyman builds (plus, quackerjack annoys me right the *BLEEP* out)

Oh, maaan ... I remember that! That is one of the very few moments that a Disney Afternoon cartoon made my jaw gape ... I literally could not believe that they went there! With the music and everything! Well done!

 a pastiche of blaxploitation heros and vampire hunters, Jefferson Twilight is yet another character from The Venture Brothers. he probably was much more blade-like in his youth, but age is setting in

 as you can see, he needs to be fighting black vampires in order to hit his offensive caps

 on that note, from here on out i'm going to be noting the conversion numbering in the subject heading, mostly because I need to change my numbering scheme

Wow. Kreuz. Seriously. Wow. Not even World of Warcraft, either, just jaw-dropping amazement. Wow.

All the wowing is because I hadn't had the pleasure of viewing your thread before and was highly impressed by the diversity of the characters you've produced so far -- and in most cases, the accuracy as well. By the gods, man, you statted KARNOV! --I didnt think anyone else knew who that WAS. *laughs*

That being said, I only have one criticism, and one request.
The criticism is rather nitpicky, but refers to your Meteor Man build of oh-so-many-pages ago. I was shocked to see him, though I'm gradually learning not to be surprised by anything that shows up on this thread, and the first thing I did was look for a power I recall him having, but didn't find.

Now, the possibility exists that I'm hallucinating this power. I only saw the movie once, on television, and I wasnt particiarly coherant at the time.
However, I did love the concept of it because it struck me as, although not the most powerful thing on earth, a really novel and original concept.
So correct me if I'm wrong.
Didn't Meteor Man possess the ability to instantaniously (but temporarily) absorb "knowledge" from books simply by touching them? I have vague recollections of him and a villain having a really bizarre, messed up fight scene because first they absorbed martial arts books, and after THAT lore wore off, they accidentally absorbed ballet, instead....

*shrugs* It could be a different character from a different universe, but the memory is there somewhere.

Anyways, that was the complaint, and I'm not sure it's an accurate one.

The request was recently revealed by rereading your page 1 table of contents to have already been there. I somehow managed to doubleclick "Next" and skip Page 39 altogether. Nevermind ;)

Thanks for listening to all the rantage.

yeah, i was having a fit trying to figure it out, but, after the clarity of so many different builds, the best way i can think of would be to take beginner's luck and jack of all trades as power feats.

the problem is that they were very specific about this knowledge only lasting 30 seconds, plus requiring a relevant book. so, as much i hate to turn to the crutch, I'm afraid 'meteor-reading' is a case for extra effort

 one of DC's deadliest assassins, depicted here in animated format. granted, I don't think Cheshire ever actually quotes Carroll, but since i can't recall any good lines from the comics, what the hey

 anyway, as you can see, cheshire is based around being a pretty, pretty deadly and downright toxic ninja, striking from and retreating into shadows like her namesake. but cheshire's real claim to fame in the books is that she's right behind joker and poison ivy when it comes to brewing death from a medicine cabinet, and thus inventor/improvised feats allow her to come up with all sorts of vile potions
