Omega Girl's Assorted Sketches - Princess

The character artwork things seems to be getting so popular, I thought I'd share some of my stuff, too. I don't have too much that's professionally finished (I'm working two jobs and going to school full time, so I don't have much time for anything beyond pencil sketches at the bus stop), but I'd love some feedback from the professionals who hang out here and make me feel like a twelve-year-old trying to tag along with her high-school brother.

First up is a pencil sketch for a character from a roleplaying game based on an unmentioned failed sci-fi television series beloved by millions.

Second shot was just done tonight, doodling for my fiance's character from the same RPG based on the unnamed (but beloved) television series.

Neither of these look much like superheroes, but they both work well for mercenaries or the sorts of everyday crooks who can occassionally give supers a headache.

Last one tonight.

This is Sheila, a 13-year old princess of H*ll. Someone with all the scary powers of a demon lord, and all the absolutely TERRIFYING nature of a spoil middle-school princess. She made a great villain for an Academy campaign.

Wow - I love them. Great work! There's alot of personality in them; instantly recognisable characters. Just their poses, their attitudes - all so different. I sure hope you post more...

A quick sketch and an even quicker paint job, but I present Duncan, the Yo-Yo King. Character portrait for a friend.

My God! It's Doctor Otaku!!!!!

:D

Very funky style, Omega Girl. I have to admit that I prefer colour art to black and white (kudos on the colouring for Duncan, by the way) but the overall style is definitely interesting.

I'm still working on developing my style. I have a long way to go before I'm at the level of some of our resident 'art gods', but I've got about three styles I can do pretty reliably right now.

Great stuff Omega Girl. 'course you know I dig it... you should post up Gel.

One suggestion (from the advisor side of me) start moving away from Anime... Alot of people dig it but realistically you'll never find long term work in it, just ask your Academic Director or teachers - they'll agree.

You've got a great sense for color and the animated style that will take you far. Keep up your figure drawing though, it'll help with your anatomy.

We so gotta get another game going. Did you see my idea for "My Parents are Evil!" teen-academy-ish style game? It's burning for you Lissa and Morgan to rally again! :)

You'll have to take a number, Kev. There are already a half-sozen people who want us in their games right now. I'm gaming three nights a week now, and I don't know how much long I'll be able to keep that schedule up.

Another fun piece based on the much-beloved sci-fi game. This one is of the ship's intrepid pilot and general lazabout.

This one is a few months old, but still one of my favorites. I need to take it into photoshop to touch up the anatomy a bit (those fingers look painful) and color it, but other wise I'm pretty happy with it.

Behold, The Spider!
