Major Rudolph von Stroheim

Stroheim is the commander of the Nazi forces who discover the super-vampire Santana in Mexico. He is appropriately militaristic and menacing, but is also responsible for not only saving Speedwagon's life, but for trying to help Joseph defeat Santana by blowing himself (and the enemy) up. He returns later as a cyborg to assist in the fight against Cars (another super-vampire).

trivia: he's probably named after Erich von Stroheim, famous as a screenwriter and director, primarily in the 1920's.

Design Notes: From the second series of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Stroheim is actually one of the good guys (well, for a Nazi), and got himself a writeup because his cybernetics wre fairly straightforward, and his antics keep your attention. for Stroheim as he first appears in the book, use the War Hero archetype from "M&M: golden age" and give him enough equipment for a base in mexico, about 50 soldier minions, and the boxing and wrestling fighting styles

Tactics: Since blowing himself up and becoming a cyborg, Stroheim has gone a little bit crazy, and before the fight will rant and rave about the superiority of Nazi engineering until initiative. once the fight begins, Stroheim will tear off his coat and expose the autocannon, before proceeding to either lay down supressing fire or concentrate his fire on the primary target. the UV ray is similarly used for crowd control, but it's main function is that it's an Anti-Vampire weapon.

:arrow: In the final episode of Darkwing Duck, Taurus Bullba, DW's first and most dangerous adversary, was brought back as a FOWL-enhanced Cyborg. Although DW barely managed to squeak out a win, Taurs escaped and swore vengeance (this was meant to lead into season 4, but unfortunately, the series was then cancelled)

:arrow: as you can see, Taurus' glaring achilles heel is that not only are taunts twice as effective on him (thus making as mad as a bull in a china shop), but if you keep it up Taurus'll be so steamed that he just shuts down completely in order to cool off.

Astro Boy

When his only son Tobio dies in a car accident, brilliant robotocist Dr. Tenma, who is head of the Institute of Science, goes a little crazy and decides to devote all the institute's resources to producing a robot replica of his dead son. One year later, Astro Boy takes his first steps. He originally lives happily with his creator/father, but the doctor eventually realizes that he'll never grow and isn't a true substitute for his son. He sells Astro to a cruel ringleader who makes him fight other robots in the circus and refuses to treat him as anything other than an object even after Astro saves him from a fire. Eventually though Astro finds a more positive father figure, the new head of the Institute of Science, and lives happily in between doing super-heroic things.

Tactics: A classic 4-color hero, Astro's preferred method of attack is to use a flying overrun on his enemies, but he'll use his blast if it's too dangerous to close in

Some more sweet covnersions. Nice to see Triplicate Girl love though they don't seem to want to use her much in the cartoon. Red X was always a character I wish they could have done more with in TT(along with Jinx and Blackfire)

yeah, Red X was a bit of a pain to figure out (for the record, he's been on the waiting list since early july), but hey, it works now.
