 Yes, Tiamat, the first, the biggest and the baddest of the Dungeons & Dragons big bads, so nasty, the nigh-invincible challenge of 1e, so vicious that she has her imitator in another campaign setting, and is the only Name deity to cameo thus far on Order of The Stick

 scary, ain't she?
I don't know... I think Elminster could beat her.

Aaaaah Supreme. The comic that made me stop actively disliking all of Allan Moore's work.

no riptide or big brother tonight folks, but having gotten 11 fully functional builds from such cookie-cutter characters in so short a time, i think I dererve a break

oh, and libra, i know you take every chance you get for this, but kindly check your bias at the door, or start an iron age disrespect thread in the sidekick's lounge. if you can't curb your tongue about your tastes, then i kindly ask you to leave.

Libra said it made him "stop actively disliking Alan Moore's work," which means that Supreme made him start liking Moore's work, right? Or was there one too many negative qualifier in there somewhere?

 even at the height of the iron age, even macfarlane realized the golden truth of comics: fans loves them monkeys, so he gave them one. granted, Cy-gor is the cyberneic, geneticly modified monstrosity with the implanted brains of a black ops commando, but the point is he's most recognizably gorilla

it's more i'm getting rather tired of this dog & pony show he does anytime a character from the 90's comes up, and lately it's incresed frequency begun to grate on my nerves. i get enough of this in the sidekick's lounge in general (spillover from marvel threads and such) for the past 6 months, so i'd rather keep the potential diatribes out of my thread.

 Kratos, the ghost of sparta, former captain in the spartan army, champion of Ares and Athena, shortly before the start of the first game.

 I chose to use this basic approach to Kratos on the grounds that the divine arsenal he acquires over the two games is either bequeathed, found or claimed as spoils of war, much like the arsenal one can accumulate through a D&D campaign. in short, if Kratos' player really wants those other powers, then they must be earned! besides, it was a choice of bells & whistles, or making Kratos the ultimate Spartan Murder Machine.

 keep watching this space, I think i'll be posting some of that arsenal as optional AP's

Nice build, Kreuz! I wonder how he stacks up against the beasties from Beleriphon's thread? Hmm . . . .

 a memorable boss encounter from God of War, the Iron Minotaur is exactly as packaged, a giant, zombified minotaur zombie clad in thick iron armor, that must be slowly chipped away to slay the beast within. luckily for Kratos, there was a ballista handy

 another image superhero, Mighty man is an analogue to Captain Marvel, complete with the whole normal identity. in this case, Nurse Ann Stevens, who accidently gained this power when the first Mighty Man lay dying and gave it to her (mistaking her for his grandson). since discovering she could become mighty man, she's fought a never-ending battle for truth and justice

 her weakness requires more detail: basicly, it's there to keep the possesor from being Mighty Man 24/7 (and all the temptations therein), and thus if they decide to keep being Mighty Man, then they'll suffer the effects of starvation until they either return to normal so they can feed, or die of hunger.

 Officer Alex Wilde has long been a supporting cast member in Savage Dragon, dating back to the book's earliest days. so, as the book has shifted from gritty police action to full-out kirbyesque superheroics, it comes as no suprise that she became a superheroine herself, taking up battle tank's name and armor after the original was horribly mutated

Sorry Kreuz. I've just been on a bit of a Classic Superman binge recently.

(I still maintain Allan Moore is a bit obsessed, but he can write interesting stories.)

Just thought I'd chime in with my first post to say what an awesome job you've done here Kreu. This is some outstanding and in-deapth work on these characters, and I could definitely see myself using them in my own upcoming M&M game.

Though admittedly I'd like to see a PL 11-12 Captain Marvel that could convincingly go toe-to-toe with your Superman build, but that's just my own personal bias creeping in. :D
