I'll see what I come up with, it's an interesting concept that I just might use myself; after all it's such a wonderfully useful, and broad, definition for shapeshifting.
The Librarium - Careful around the shelves, I still need to get stronger chains for the books. And don't go wandering off on your own either, I still haven't found the last one to do that.

This is true - the Mythos concept first started out as an NPC I wanted to use in a different Supers Game (pre M&M) _ He was able to assume one creature form (Dragon) He was really a Dragon who could assume human form. Then he was evolved for another game (pre M&M) as a "Beast Boy" type character but from a different "fantasy" reality so he could assume the mystic animal shapes. Now I have dusted him off and updated him (inspired by Ben 10) for use with M&M as my own character or NPC if I find a decent group to join in my area.

Feel free to use the concept like I said it would be a blast to see your take on Mythos or even his sister Fable (at one point I was doing a mystic Wonder Twins kinda thing).

I think for that idea, Shapeshift is going to be your best option, with the Flaw (Limited -- only into mythical/fairy-tale creature forms).

I, too, once had the idea for something like this. One of my GMs was going to start a PL 12/225pp "Justice League" game and one of my ideas was to bring in a shape-shifting Martian Manhunter type who was actually a dragon. Alas, there were far too many magical origin ideas from the other Players, so I ended up playing a Ring-Bearer type.

One part of my take on it, thus far, is to up the Action to Full Round. This, in conjunction with the other Flaw, brings the cost down to 5/rank which means a fair deal more points to play with for each form.

I usually go with a couple of Flaws such as (Action -- Standard [-1]), and (Requires Concentration Check [-1]). The latter requires some points placed in Concentration (which i usually then Skill Master), but it is worth it for the cost break to Shapeshift.

So, last night, my friend is running his Mythic Greek game.

He sends my Hydra write-up against us... with some additional features. He gave the heads the Interpose feat, so we could not attack the body as effectively, and also gave it some Fire Breath.

The thing started with 5 heads, and had 9 by the time we managed to slay it, over 10 rounds later. I'd say it was a pretty successful build for the hydra.

Kid Rex sounds fun.

I once had a my hero team fight a villainess named Jurassic Lass who had Animal Mimicry (Limited to Dinosaur Powers). She was fun.
