Seeking online Marvel universe campaign

Postby Captain Liberty » Mon Jul 16, 2007 9:49 am

I'm seeking a cosmically centered Marvel universe campaign online using M&M 2e. Is anyone interested in doing something like this over Skype or Ventrilo or Teamspeak? I'd be willing to help run it.

I would really love to play as the Silver Surfer.

Anyone interested in running and/or playing in something like this?

I will play as long as it isn't PbP and I don't run it (bad GM memories).

I will probably have to GM it. I would never do PbP.

Skype works pretty well....with each character using their own dice on the honor system. I have been doing that for another game and it seems to be working decently.

So a cosmic based Marvel Universe setting used M & M 2e?

Hmm, i can probably run it, i actually run my own setting which is a mix of Marvel, DC, and Freedom City, with some original twists.

Although i don't think i would be very comfortable using any of the programs you have mentioned.

If there was a way to create a java based chat window that we could use it would be better.

Let me know, also i'm thinking of using the standard PL 10 as starting level, if you decide i'd make a good GM

Thanks,

Your ideas sound WONDERFUL and you sound perfect to GM it. I can help out with anything you would need to run it as well.

As for programs to run it there are a ton: Skype works well and so does Ventrilo and Teamspeak.

Also there are tabletop software programs like Klooge, Fantasy Grounds, Battlegrounds, etc.

As for PL 10 the only problem is that I really wanted to play as the Silver Surfer. I downloaded a ton of my favorite Marvel characters from the Roll Call forum here from Tal and MDSnowman and the general agreement is that he is a PL 15 character.

Your universe of mixing DC and Marvel with Freedom City is EXACTLY what I'm looking to do.

The only reason i suggest having a PL 10 is not so much that i want to limit characters inasmuch that i don't want to have players over power the "villains" and other npcs, cause i frequent the roll coll forum as well, even have my own thread (even if it doesn't ever get any comments, but oh well).

And i understand that you want to play as Silver Surfer, that's fine, just think about how that will work in relation to other players and npcs.

Something to think about,

Well, it shouldn't be a huge problem if the PL of the campaign is 15 or so. Also, some of the big gun villains in the cosmic Marvel Universe shouldn't be overpowered easily.

Were you interested in being a player in the campaign or the GM GreatArelius1?

Also, did you want to GM the campaign SolomonBundy?
