taking a break from the fight I have another member of the redeemed Harm.

Background: Vincent "Vinnie" Wabasha was a greasy-haired teenager working in a fast-food joint in the American southwest in 1963. He had some friends, using the word loosely, who dared him to sneak into one of the army nuclear testing sites; he did. Big mistake. Being too close to an unannounced blast left him highly radioactive. Not realizing the full extent of his condition, Vinnie killed several people, including his parents, just by being physically close to them. A mad scientist heard about the ‘New Mexico Monster’, and recruited Vinnie with promises of a cure. Eight more people died. Disgusted, Vinnie turned state’s evidence, and the villain died (yes, really) in the electric chair. Vinnie got thirty years, which he served in solitary confinement in a magnetic bubble.
Science—radioactive damping technology, in specific—advanced during vinnie’s prison term. Although there was still no cure for his condition, this new technology could suppress his radioactivity with a gadget small enough to wear as a belt. Vinnie was released at the end of his term, but where could he go? The Duke was at that time just beginning to form the Redeemed, and he asked Harm to join. Vinnie has stayed with the group ever since.

Powers/Tactics: Harm’s body constantly emits destructive radiation. Anything he touches will eventually be disintegrated, even his clothing. He wears a special belt, which regulates his power. Even when shut off, the belt is largely immune to radiation, but otherwise it’s easily broken (complication anyone [Vinnie keeps a spare at the halfway house]). Some people have erroneously concluded that the belt gives Vinnie his powers.
Harm acts as chauffeur and cook for the Redeemed. He does not engage in combat, as he feels that his power is far too lethal for such a use. He will only turn off the belt if there’s some sort of wall or other barrier to get through.

Okay there's harms background. Now the fight round 2

Defender activates his speaker-system and tells his teammates “I’m going to push that thing away from the crowd”. He flies in thirty feet and gets deflected about as many feet the other way. Jaguar shakes his head and growls “alright she’s starting to make me angry”. Solitaire’s eyes and hands glow a deep purple a second later the Cybercop lights up with a deep purple and she turns her attention to Solitaire as she cries out in spite of her years of training. Seeker runs to the other side of the car and throws a hand full of shuriken, all of which are deflected in various directions. CyberCop maneuvers around and blasts Solitaire who throws up her force field a second to late with some of the blast hitting her in the side. Quantum flies over and directs a flash of luminous energies but flash is a bit short and reflects off of the car. Obsidian leaps at the car and gets deflected upwards at an odd angle he comes down in a ten foot crater embarrassed.

Okay I got busy with some things at work but I'm back now and to prove it I give you the finished fight

“Uhhn! where am I Oh crikey did we win?” says seeker as he wearily shakes his head. The crowd had returned after being scattered by the battle between New York’s hero’s the champions and some dinosaurs that appeared out of nowhere. Solitaire was stumbling back as Defender caught her; Seeker’s wounds had gotten better while she took some of those wounds on herself. “Take it easy” said defender concerned that took a lot out of you. About this time another flash appeared behind them. Up twenty feet in the air came a flying car with very modern police lights on top. The car turned taking in the scene then out popped a speaker from the top announcing over the megaphone “Attention Citizens: Unauthorized assembly in progress in violation of President Rice act 5150, present left palms for identity chip verification or I shall have to use force…you have ten seconds.

Five seconds later a cannon pops out of the bottom of the hovercar and you can hear it charging up to fire.
The action starts in the park like before the Cybercop is in her Hovercar100’ away from the heroes and 25’ in the air.
“Alright team I’m not sure what that is, but I do know that’s excessive force against innocent people so lets not give her the chance” shouted Defender. He rocketed up and cut the distance between them in half and fires a directed EMP at the hovercar’s cannon. It goes inert. “You got it boss” shouted Jaguar as he bounded over and up on the car using one claw to make handholds in the roof while using the other to rear back and take the roof off. Seeker looks over and says well “so much for bed rest” gets up and moves toward the hovercar. Solitaire moves closer as well and a deep purple energy shoots from her hands as she tries to move the hovercar but it shoots wide. Cybercop uses her link to pilot the vehicle to shake Jaguar free even as she maneuvers the car between her and the rest of the champions and gets half out the window to shoot Jaguar with her blaster. Jaguar is clawed on too tight to be removed by the maneuvers however the blaster is much more effective. Cybercop hits sending a stunned Jaguar flying fifty feet. Then she activates her car’s deflector shielding. Quantum flies over and sends a flurry of shots most of which get deflected and a few get through annoying Cybercop. Obsidian jumps over and catches Jaguar before he can hit the ground. “I gotcha my furry friend” he says warmly.
Defender rights himself and yells out all right team this has gone on long enough that thing is endangering people and we need to take her down NOW. Jaguar jumped over twenty feet and then up to grab and pull the cop out of the car. He does grab onto her jostling her so her link to her car comes undone but she stays in the car. Solitaire’s eyes glow and the head around the officer goes purple for a moment, then the officer begins to slump until adrenal pumps bring her back to ready. Seeker throws some shuriken at the car’s cannon all just tinging off the surface. The Cop is wrestling to get away from Jaguar and in perfectly calm tones telling him how it is a federal offense to assault a duly directed officer of the law. Quantum flies over takes aim and blasts the car with a full force blast “We don’t recognize your authority”. The car starts to fall smoking to the ground. Obsidian gets up and leaps at the car but misses because it’s coming down.
Defender is taking aim waiting for the smoke to clear and give him a clear shot. Jaguar tries to pull her out of the crashing car and succeeds right before it hits. Both Jaguar and the cop go flying about 20 feet and land on their feet as the car grounds into the dirt. Solitaire teleports over and while breathing heavy lights the cop up with mental energy. The cop cries out and says, “I’ve had about enough of you”. About this time Defender comes through the smoke and yells “leave her alone”. He blasts her with his energy bands that start to wrap around her. Before they can enwrap her she shoots them apart with a laser carbine. Quantum moves in and says “now to do to you what I did to your car”. Distracting her from Obsidian who charges in and clotheslines the Cop. Carrying her ten feet over to a waiting Jaguar who claws viscously at the computer on her back. He turns happily saying “and I didn’t have to lose control”
The cop wearily falls
"thank you"

Initiative: Defender, Jaguar, Solitaire, Seeker, CyberCopbercop, Quantum, Obsidian
Round 1 Defender drains the flying car’s cannon, Jaguar double moves leaps onto the top of the car and prepares to rip it open, CyberCopbercop tries to shake off Jaguar no effect and shoots Jaguar hit staggered stunned disabled, HERO POINT make that injured and stunned knockback 50’, Quantum sends a flurry of shots in hitting CyberCopbercop no effect, Obsidian jumps over and catches the stunned Jaguar.
Round 2 Defender flies in to move the car away from the crowd gets Deflected, Jaguar stunned, Solitaire mental blasts CyberCopbercop-bruise stun/ fiat to recover from stun HERO POINT’s all around. Seekerer runs to the other side of the car and throws his shuriken deflected. CyberCopbercop manauevers around and shoots Solitaire-injured and stun hero point/make that just an injured, Quantum tries to dazzle miss, Obsidian leaps at the car as it swings around and goes flying by.
Round 3 Defender inspires HERO POINT, Jaguar leaps under the car trying rip her out of the car-grabs her and dislodges her car’s mental link but she ain’t budging, Solitaire mind blasts CyberCopfiat to recover from stun 2nd injured, Seeker tries to take out the car’s cannon no effect, CyberCop tries to break free from Jaguars grapple no effect, Q all out attack and accurate attacks for 3 hit CyberCop is going down. Obsidian jumps at the car and misses
Round 4 Defender moves into position and holds for an opening, Jaguar tries to pull her out of the crashing car,Solitaire teleports hero point to recover from fatigue then mind blasts’s CyberCopbercop-3rd injured, Seeker moves in, CyberCop crashes throwing Jaguar and CyberCop clear both land on their feet, Defender fires a snare hit-entangled, CyberCop shoots the snare off of her, Quantum moves in and tells CyberCop she’s going to do to her what she did to her car setup-intimidate for Obsidian who charges in and grabs CyberCopbercop and squeezes-4th bruise and injured
Round 5 Jaguar jumps over and claws CyberCopbercop crit she’s down.

Okay I've finally figured out how to do the index thing. So with that said I've started indexing this thread. don't expect much becuase I'm in the process of getting married however I'll work on this as time permits and I've got much to add as now I'm actually playing M&M. In a couple of months I'll be able to have some breathing space and start contributing regularly :)

Again not dead, just got a little bummed since I took a break from my game to get married and do the whole honeymoon thing and then It just seemed like I couldn't put the game back together again. Anyway that seems to finally be fixed and I got inspired to convert over Crusader.

Sam was trained by the CIA and assigned to infiltrate (your villian organization of choice, to have something we'll say Viper). They found him out. Rather than kill him they captured him brainwashed him and sent him back after his bosses. setting him up with special gimmicks from their technical division. It worked, he killed, but the psychollogical strain broke his conditioning. He left after demolishing the better part of the base that had sent him. Long anguish over the killing convinced him to use his abilities to fight for justice. because of that he doesn't like guns or killers not that he'd never kill again but he'd try damn hard to find some other way.

This is Crusader from the time of Dark Champions as he appears in underwolrd enemies. He's been doing this for awhile at this point. His martial arts skills have improved but his physical abilities aren't quite what they once were. he's found that he must frequently resort to tricks and ambushes to defeat his opponents theses days. basically he's just a costumed adventurer with all the bells and whistles.

I like Storn's take on Crusader, and as always, I enjoy seeing the Redeemed, my favorite team from Allies.

Cool I'd seen Storn's Crusader I didn't know it was inspired by the character from champions. Very cool. Yeah the Redeemed were my favorite from the Allies book too. Although I will not bother to write up minor key. In my setting he came to a bad end on his very first mission because he got spotted in that stupid, stupid outfit.

Okay here's twister the annoying/bored teenager of the redeemed.

Background: Twister’s mother was an unwed “Jane Doe” who died in childbirth. “Susan Wednesday,” as she was named, was truly unfortunate in her foster families, several of which abused her. By the time she was 11, she was living on the street; when her mutant powers surfaced, she found it much easier to steal the food and nice things she wanted. She was eventually caught, but because of her extreme youth, the judge was reluctant to sentence her to Stronghold/Blackridge. As well, there simply weren’t any juvenile facilities set up to deal with a kid who could walk through walls. That’s when the Duke showed up with a viable alternative: His group, the Redeemed, would act as the child’s guardians and attempt to set her on the straight and narrow. The courts are very interested in the outcome of this experiment, so Sue is watched even more closely than the rest of the group.

Personality: After her past bad experiences, Sue is understandably cynical about this ‘family’ business, and it will be quite some time before she truly trusts anyone. Seeing the various Redeemed members struggle to overcome their own problems has helped. Sue sometimes feels smothered by the substitute parenting of the Duke and Tantrum. She knows she has Native American blood, but isn’t much interested in her roots at the moment.

Abilities 4 + Skills 8 (32 ranks) + Feats 4 + Powers 108 + Combat 16 + Saves 5 – Drawbacks 0 = 145 / 145

Powers/Tactics: Twister is able to “rotate” part of the way into another dimension. The other dimension has different laws of gravity, which allows her to fly in this dimension. She can still be affected by dimensionally-based or multidimensional attacks while “rotated.” She’s learned to use her “rotation power on others for a short time, and uses this as a surprise attack. Twister can also rotate part of an opponent’s body into the other dimension for a microsecond. This causes intense pain, but no physical damage. She is also able to “slip” part of any incoming damage into the other dimension, which greatly reduces the damage done to her. Because Twister’s powers are so tiring, she usually just opts for sneak attacks. The more sophisticated applications for her power haven’t occurred to her yet. Twister’s powers are still developing, and it remains to be seen just how powerful she’ll be when she grows up.

 Okay Twister is a PL 10 but she doesn't even begin to be ready for combat. she can't hit the side of a barn and she couldn't dodge it falling on her slowly. However she's not supposed to get into a fight she's supposed to be that annoying kid who get's into trouble. What she can do is run away really well and she does have a couple of nasty attacks if she can hit with them. her Insubstantial is usable against others and so she might let herself get grabbed just so she could do this to an enemy taking them almost completely out of the fight. You'll notice the save is four higher than the ranks well I bought up the save with four points of power modifier. I think I read a Power Feat that does that somewhere and if not there should be one :). Let me know what you all think of her. To powerful/not powerful enough let me know.

Okay I give you the sixth member of the redeemed Sun Bear he's sort of a reverse werewolf. Except he's a bear. anyway read on and enjoy.

Background: David Bjorndahl was a two-bit thug when he decided to get ahead by turning himself into a fearsome werewolf, much as did Hyena from meta 4 (note in original champions continuity this was much like Loup-Garou of Red Doom from Classic Organizations). The ritual was all set up, and the hour at hand, when he had some interference (note in the original champions continuity this was a character called “Interference”, who I might get to someday but I doubt it so make up your own story for why the ritual got botched) and the enchantment was snafued. David ended up with the ability to assume a bearlike form, but only in the daytime, which wasn’t quite what he’d intended. After a while, David adjusted to this condition. After all, it meant that he could work normal hours, and sleep at night like normal folks. He bounced from organization to organization, amazingly never managing to kill anyone in spite of his fangs and claws. After his third stay in Blackstone. Sun Bear hooked up with the Duke—but this time on the right side of the law.

Personality: Sun Bear is an easy-going fellow, easily the least morose of the Redeemed. He’s always been a follower, and the Duke’s plan sounds like the best so far. Since Sun Bear’s powers are active only during the daylight hours he tends to panic at night. He’s on the best terms they’ll allow with the rest of the team.

Powers/Tactics: Sun Bear’s powers are the result of a permanent enchantment similar to lycanthropy. He can supress the change if he chooses; he tends to “lose it” under stress. Sun Bear is subtle only when someone tells him how. Otherwise he charges straight into hand-to-claw combat.

Appearance: David is 6’ tall and weedy, in his mid-30’s, with brown eyes and reddish-brown hair. In bear form, he stands 7’6” tall and weighs well over 800 pounds; oddly enough, he’s kind of cuddly until he stands up. His fur is cinnamon, with a crescent of gold fur on his chest.

Abilities 9 + Skills 4 (16 ranks) + Feats 12 + Powers 51 + Combat 16 + Saves 6 – Drawbacks -8 = 90 / 90

 Alright here's SunBear if you catch him when he's lit he could be one tough customer. He's easy to hit but very hard to damage especially if you're coming at him with a physical attack.

 Offensively he's mean he punches pretty good and hurts you when he hits plus with improved grab there's a good chance he'll be giving you a bear hug. (if you're familiar with champions it listed 2 2d6 killing attacks but I thought the improved grab fit the bear theme better plus I had no balanced way to give 2 killing attacks at once)

 Now if you catch him when he's out of bear form he's a pushover he loses all of his powers and only has average str and con and just barely above average dex. (this is why he makes a good ally just enough power to really get himself in trouble  )

 his complications are phobia of being caught in the dark, (reasonable considering he's probably made some enemies) and temper he keeps it under control most of the time but when he loses it he really loses it.

 something kinda fun on this character is that he is vulnerable to gold which one might guess if they were paying attention and his backstory or his name. It's the kind of thing that hopefully will have your players going 'dooh!' it was there all along which is always fun

We now come to the final member of the Redeemed (well the final one I'm going to do, can't stand Minor Key who came to a messy end in my world). The baby hulk of the redeemed Tantrum.

Background: Sandy Williams was a promising biochemistry major at the university of Minnesota until one of her professors told her she’d fail his course unless she slept with him. She lost her temper and slapped the swine. He hit her right back, hard: now he said that Sandy would sleep with him or he’d frame her for cheating. She asked for a moment to think. As luck would have it, the lab had been analyzing (and trying to duplicate) a superstrength formula donated by a retired superhero. Sandy grabbed a vial of ‘Variant 3’, not quite the same thing, and swallowed its contents. Fire ran through Sandy’s veins, and a red haze obscured her vision. When she was herself again, the professor was a bloody smear on the floor.
Sandy soon discovered that she was now prone to berserk rages in which she demolished anything that got in her way. Leaving the University, Sandy became Tantrum, a powerful but unreliable villain-for-hire. After some years as a mobile wrecking ball, Sandy sought professional help. Then came a short spell in Blackstone, and a longer time in an asylum, as she was legally insane when she’d committed most of her crimes. During this period she slowly brought her temper under control, so that now she never berserks. Most recently, Sandy joined the Redeemed.

Personality: Tantrum, once an unfettered explosion of emotion, is now a tightly-controlled stick in the mud. To bolster her control, she seldom engages in highly emotional activities other than combat. She’s taken up yoga meditation techniques as part of her training. Sandy sees Twister as the daughter she can never have, and treats her that way. Tantrum seldom socializes.

Powers/Tactics: The ‘Variant 3’ superserum permanently altered Sandy’s body chemistry, giving her superhuman strength and toughness. Through years of practice, she’s learned how to generate shockwaves within any region she desires, simply by striking something solid—even her own body, if need be. Her body temperature is significantly higher than normal, and a bit of concentration can raise the temperature around her to a toasty warm.
Tantrum likes to target fliers first. If outnumbered, she’ll use her shockwaves to knock over as many opponents as she can, so that she can choose which one to fight. She’ll only haul out her pounders—massive steel ingots with handles—if her opponent shrugs off her normal attacks.

Appearance: Sandy is in her late 50s, and her face is worn with care. She’s 5’10”, and built like a wrestler. Her gray hair is done up in a bun, and she has tired blue eyes. Tantrum wears blue denim overalls and a green workshirt. She doesn’t usually bother wearing shoes.

 Okay Here's Tantrum or as I like to think of her Hulk on a budget. she not really a great combatant she not a good shot and has lousy defense. However she can take a hit and if she should get in a lucky shot it's going to hurt. Actually since she's got an area effect it doesn't really matter that she can't hit very well it's more a matter of if the hero's can get out of the way. Offensively she's solid but defensively she' only a PL6.
