Comments: A PL10 upgrade for The Rock as well. Not a lot of changes, just higher caps since I envision the wrestlers as more “street level” than superhuman, similar to Mistwolf’s Jake “The Snake” Roberts build. But in the case of Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior, Hogan had to pumped up to match the pure ferocity of the Warrior!

Comments: Man, this was a fun build. Like millions of people, I am a TOTAL Lord of The Rings mark. It is a battle for me to pick between trilogies, the original Star Wars or LOTR because, despite what Randal says, it was an amazing series of movies. Yes, liberties were taken, but come on, it’s Hollywood and they still did a fantastic job of keeping of the spirit of the books and considering the massive scope of the books, was worthy of all the awards they received.

As such (and since I haven’t read the books in ages and probably won’t again until my rug rats are out of the house) my LOTR builds will generally be based on the movies, with just a little of their literary incarnations included. And for the first LOTR build, you have to start with The King. Aragorn is a goon sweeping machine and can hold his own pretty much any warrior in the LOTR universe, outside of the Witch-king, Balrog sort.

He’s a leader, he’s a scrapper, he’s a tracker, he’s a healer, and he’s da man. I have this hope of working a crossover with him and Leonidas working together on something, but that may be a while.

Wow Thorpacolypse, you have been a machine lately. I really like the Emma build. I don't think she can have a 18 will save versus mental effects at her current power level.
Also I know you have been busy with Oprah builds and everything but I hope you will be having some fights soon. Even if Oprah is in them I wouldn't mind, as long as she loses.

On Aisle 13 we have the king of kings, Conan the Barbarian. He is 17 points under par, so you have some breathing room if you want to go ahead and make him a king. Many often confuse conan as an idiot based on the movie's that were made. This is not the case, Conan is both physically and mentally rather adept. And i copped out on the languages part, and bulked them into powers.

Well, technically, no, but I'm GM-ing her for me, so she can. :D

The fights are coming next week, I promise. I got in a statting groove again and now I really have about 10-15 more builds I am trying to roll out.

I'm going to have to get over my melancholy, though. My favorite local comic shop is closing so I am bummed. Now I have to go the sh**** shop in town where the owner never looks up from his paper, the other chick that works there part time acts like you pinched her butt when you ask her a question and it is so unorganized, I keep waiting for some snake like alien thing to pop it's head up and then try to drag me down into the comic pile...

A new build hits the Aisle 1 shelves. Don't worry, there's a lot of copies of this one.

Don't label me, buddy! I am SO that dumb!

DRAWBACKS:

Abilities 18 + Skills 7 (28 ranks) + Feats 10 + Powers 72 + Combat 20 + Saves 8 – Drawbacks 0 = 135 / 135

Comments: Yet another Wikipedia fueled build, Multiplex. I saw him recently with the Suicide Squad and I had yet to build a duplicator, so I thought I would start with him, since Joshua has already posted a Jamie Madrox build here at J-Mart.

While similar to Madrox, Multiplex has a couple of other powers that make him a significant threat. He has super-strength and the ability to fly, making him a tough out for street-level heroes. The one thing I struggled with was that, from what I read, after 15 duplicates, each one of his “duploids” gets smaller. So I threw in a half Extra/half Flaw combo which I think covers it, but in case I am way off, I bow to the will of the Roll Call Think Tank to advise otherwise.

Comments: The Dead Man. The American Bad Ass. The Phenom. The Undertaker.

Mark Callaway has been scaring audiences and other wrestlers alike in the WWE since 1990. He’s been world champion multiple times and has been one of its top stars ever since he first appeared. He’s been smart enough to alter his gimmick from time to time to keep it from getting stale, yet familiar enough to keep the fans’ loyalty.

Build-wise, he’s not a lot different than the other powerhouse wrestlers. I created his finishers, the Tombstone Piledriver and The Last Ride as Stun attacks instead of strikes. His trademark Chokeslam is similar to the Soviet Suplex./Rock Bottom (and Book End when I get to Booker T) which I felt was best represented as a Trip with Knockback. You can make a case that The Last Ride/Tombstone could be statted the same, but I just thought I’d change it up a little bit.

It's been a while since we had a special like this, but get ready for Two 4 One special on Aisle 1!

Comments: Monsieur Mallah and The Brain. I could not imagine these two not being in the same post, so here they are. I will have them listed separately in the index, though.

THE BRAIN

Comments: The Brain in all his disembodied glory! Poor guy. The issue of The Outsiders where he asked Mallah, “Why won’t you just let me die?” tugged at my old heart strings. Yet, Mallah continues in his quest to acquire a suitable body for the love of his life. Good thing this is fantasy or else The Republicans would have gotten involved with his “right to life” and we’d have another political mess on our hands…

Anyway, Brain is your basic mastermind villain and has Monsieur Mallah as his trusty sidekick/lover.

And heeeeeeeeeere's Mallah!

Comments: And here is the other half of the team, Monsieur Mallah. Mallah is a genetically enhanced talking gorilla with a genius level intellect. Who happens to be in love with the disembodied brain of his creator…yeah, I know, kinky. But hey, that’s the state of modern comics, good folk.

I made Mallah pretty formidable because every time I’ve seen he and Brain, they have been taking on like a whole super team and holding their own, so I even considered making him a higher PL but with that Gadget power and the help from Brain, they can cause lots of trouble for a Titans or X-Men type of team.

Comments: I was getting ready to build Sting from WCW/TNA fame and as most of you wrestling fans know, some years ago Sting changed from his old face makeup and persona to more of a Crow type of look that he has stuck with for the past 10 years or so. I remember he even showed up with a hawk or something on his arm once (not a crow, of course, just to make sure they didn’t get sued). In doing so, I did a little research on The Crow and decided to build Eric Draven instead.

He is a monster of a street level hero. I think I encompassed about everything he did in the movie and series (at least that I saw, I didn’t see that many of the syndicated show) and did my best to curtail the PP, but after a while I just gave up and went for it. The only point saving move I really did was instead of making the Crow familiar his Sidekick/Minion, I made him The Crow’s Sidekick. A little trick I picked up from Kerian Valentine in his Batman as Alfred’s sidekick move.

I perused Wordmaker’s Eric Draven build (and if you haven’t read his Rain In Gotham storyline DO SO IMMEDIATELY) and I had forgotten that he had gone back and added a Constitution score for him, but I can’t remember exactly why, nor did I go through the whole thread to find out, so if someone has a good reason or remembers, I will be more than glad to reconsider it.

Here is The Crow:
