WHAT IF PLANET HULK is on stands tomorrow, Wednesday, October 24.

The Story: Last year, a group of Marvel heroes decided the Hulk was too dangerous for Earth, tricked him into a shuttle, and shot him into space. After the Hulk rose from slave to gladiator to conquering emperor on the savage planet of Sakaar, the shuttle exploded – destroying the Hulk's people and his pregnant queen. And the entire Marvel Universe knows what happened next as the Hulk returned to wreak his terrible vengeance in the pages of "World War Hulk." But what if the Hulk had landed on the peaceful planet the Marvel heroes originally intended? What if Banner had landed on Sakaar instead of the Hulk? And what if the Hulk's warrior bride Caiera the Oldstrong had come to Earth seeking vengeance instead of her husband? Get ready for three shocking tales of what could have been from the writer of the "Planet Hulk" and "World War Hulk" epics.

The Story: The wave of ANNIHILATION nearly ravaged the cosmos...but WHAT IF Annihilus was not defeated in the outskirts of our galaxy? WHAT IF he brought his devastating alien armada to Earth? From what I've read the World War Hulk what if looks pretty sick. Can't wait to get a look at it, as does the Annihilation one.

I'd settle for a conclusion so we could move on and get back to heroes vs. villains, but that's just me up in the cheap seats.

I cannot help but agree. What's the point to Superheroes if not Heroes Vs Villains?

Perhaps, but I'm sick of "The Man is BAAAAD!" storylines.

At this point in time they're rather over-used, in my opinion at least.

I digress, humblest apologies for veering things off the rails.

One of the things I love about the 'What If?' concept is it's chance to take the characters and concepts of the Marvel Universe and play with them, whether setting them in different time periods (What If Captain America had fought in the American Civil War?) or even alternate timelines. I think the Annihilation title will make for a fun read for that reason.

Yes, Alternate History is certainly highly enjoyable.

If written well. . . 8)

WHAT IF X-MEN RISE & FALL OF SHI'AR EMPIRE is on stands tomorrow, Wednesday, December 5.

The Story: THE RISE & FALL OF THE SHI’AR EMPIRE was an X-Men event like no other. Fresh off X-MEN: DEADLY GENESIS, Ed Brubaker took Marvel’s mighty mutants off Earth and on an intergalactic journey to stop VULCAN, the third Summers brother, from exacting revenge on the Shi’Ar Empire! But in that final battle in front of the M’Kraan Crystal, what if Vulcan absorbed the very energies that contained it many years ago? In other words, what if Vulcan became PHOENIX? When his unlimited rage is fueled with unlimited power...who will be able to stop him now? Writer Chris Yost (X-23, New X-Men, TV’s Fantastic Four) welcomes the return of legendary X-Factor and Alien Legion artist Larry Stroman to the X-Universe with this action-packed issue.

WHAT IF CIVIL WAR is on stands tomorrow, Wednesday, December 19.

The Story: When a stranger appears in front of Iron Man, visiting Captain America’s symbolic grave at Arlington, he is told of two diverse ways CIVIL WAR could’ve concluded. The first: What If CAPTAIN AMERICA led all the heroes against the Registration Act? The second: What if IRON MAN lost the Civil War?
Join writers Ed Brubaker (Captain America, Daredevil), Kevin Grevioux (New Warriors, the movie-Underworld) and Christos Gage (Civil War: Casualties of War, World War Hulk: X-Men, TV’s Law & Order: SVU) in a giant-size issue that answers the questions Iron Man never wanted to ask!
With interior art by superstar cover painter Marko Djurdjevic, artist Gustavo (Marvel Age Spider-Man, Green Lantern, TMNT and The Amory Wars) and newcomer Harvey Tolibao (Iron Man Annual, Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic), this issue will fulfill your Civil War withdrawal!

Well, at least in an alternate universe, hypothetical one-shot story, history is finally allowed to take the rightful course and justice and freedom to triumph !!!! Go Cap Go :D 8)

Really, could please someone kindly me spoil me about this issue ? I'm dying from curiosity about this one, and the issue will take some time to reach me on the other side of the pond.
