:arrow: the other protagonist of FF8, Laguna, to put it mildly, is kind of a moron. okay, i'm mincing words, he is a moron. he constantly mauls the english language with mixed metaphors, is slightly less accident prone than chevy chase's career, and has demonstrated an inability to follow very clear and simple directions (in laguna's defense, the man instructing him had a ridiculously thick accent). that said, Laguna is a good man who will do everything in his meagre power to do what's right, even if it costs him in the long run.

:arrow: a regular of top ten rpg boss lists, Sephiroth is withut question the most powerful bad guy in the FF7 world, and given his heavy hitter status, it's only fitting he be built to fight teams of heros.

:arrow: now, asopposed to the ombat monster that is Warduke, Sephiroth is also built as something of a mage, and thus like FF7, an ideal campaign would be the party caught in a race with sephiroth before he can uncover more occult and forbidden arcane lore that he can use to wreak untold havoc and/or promote himself to godhood.
