so...I been at the "drawing board" for the past two days...and I think I have my deadliest character EVER coming up...as I am doing Phobos, the Nightmare King!!!

It's not him really thats deadly...it's one of his summons that makes him deadly as hell....cuz it's sitting on like at least 13 ranks of shapeshift...lol

should have him up in a hour...thne I go back to the drawing board for Toph and Kraken.

I was looking over the Black Adam 2040 character. He looks greats but I noticed a few things that I would like to bring up:

1. It looks like you didn't take any offsets for Att/Def/Save DC/Toughness. If not, you can't have a PL10 character with a Str greater than 30. His STR 34 would be +12 unarmed damage.

2. If you can't increase his STR pass 30, then the Boost he gets around Magic-users is worthless.

3. A CON 29 is a +9 Toughness not +10. This would effect his Imervious Toughness of 10 also.

Aside from the few issues I had, I really liked the idea behind the character. Keep up the good work!

MM 2ed stats that the max ability score you can have for a character is 40....and he's not at 40...so for the atk, I didn't really NEED to take the trade-offs....though it's a little messed up that his atk cap is 10, but his str max for a character of his level bypasses that...hmmm...book errata anyone??...I might have to make the changes...hmmm....

Also...on the toughness...yeah...I noticed the effect...my bad...will have to change that...

Also...I think I noticed a flaw: if you add his rage, as well as his boost, his STR score hits 47, which is a + 18 modifier....and in activiies of applied STR, like continued pressure, etc, it becomes a + 26 max....ouch...I think I broke him....surprised my GM and I didn't catch that...I think I might have to re-work him a bit...

On page 24 under Ability Scores, it states that without tradeoffs, the character's Str and Con max is 10+2xPL=30. All other abilities are 20+2xPL=40. So your character's STR score is not going to work as built. Plus Rage is limited by PL max so his Rage feats are worthless also. I missed that the first time through. SO you will have to raise his PL, adjust his Att/Save DC tradeoffs, and/or do a little more rework on the character.

good catch...I never even caught that....I have to re-shuffle some points quite a bit it looks like...as well as have one of my fellow players shuffle his...cuz we're both at lvl 10...and according to what I just read...we're both breaking stuff bad when it comes to STR....ouch...thanks for the catch

hey...question...there is no cap on how high Super Str can effect your grapple, right??


I haven't seen a limit if there is one. That's a good idea if you want to keep the grappling score high. :D

I am completely re-working Phobos...I am going to go a different direction with him....I'm just not happy with the way he got done....so we're gonna wipe him out..and re-work it...and hopefully we can get the NEW Phobos AND Korvus up today!!!

Back Story: Orion, also known as Tak Inla, is the last of the former Starguard, a group of galatic enforcers. He is also an Altinarian, a species of alien are organic plasma based lifeforms. As a Star Guard, Orion has moved up the ranks to Pretoriate, meaning that he is able to handle many situations by himself, and excels as diplomatic relations.

It was during a battle against the cosmic warlord, the Myrmidon, that the Starguards were decimated, leaving Orion with only one option: flee into space and hope to one day re-group and lead an attack on the Myrmidon.

*there isn't much to this character, story wise. It's a GL/ Firestorm concept I have, and something that I will be fleshing out a little more here and there, especially after I finish up the cosmic warlord, the Myrmidon.

Back Story: The Myrmidon came from outside known space with an army unlike anything ever seen before. 100's of thousands of various alien beings and a mass cache of technological weapons make the Myrmidon one of the deadliest men in existance. He is responsible for wiping out all but one of the Starguards, the peace-keeping police force that patrolled much of space. The only remaining starguard is the Altinarian known as Orion.
In actuality, the Myrmidon is a descendant of one of the soldiers of the fabled earth war of Troy. His ancestor served under Achilles, and his son was later taken by a very advanced race of aliens known as the Far'abek. While not a war-like race, they are highly inquesitive, and their curiosity has resulting in the Myrmidon. The question of what happens when one being rules everything is the curiosity that has brought the Myrmidon to life, as his entire family line was experimented on till he was bred true, with phenominal powers.
So, as the old adage goes "curiosity killed the universe."

[b]Alien battalion*[b]: Each alien soldier in the Myrmidon's force is considered a PR 3 minion, made with 35 pp's, and the left over 10 pp's to exhibit varies alien ablities here and there. The rest of the 18 ranks are all to up the scale of the time-progression table, taking his fleet up around the 500,000 mark. Each seperate battalion has it's own ships and such, which aren't represented in the build.

** so...besides the HUGE alien force that the Myrmidon comes with, he isn't that dangerous up front. His probability control only works when his forces are engaging in a battle, and then he can cover pretty much most of the fleet in "good fortune", which has made them victorious thus far. He also weilds acute Precog, which lets him pretty much known the moves of his enemies before they do it, though, as with real pre-cog, it isn't always accurate.
He has a close rng TK that heuses mainly as a forcefield, or to push enemies that MIGHT get close back.
He also wears a suit of armour that gives him a nice lvl of protection.

however, the Myrmidon shines not in close combat, but as a mass-support character, able to give his forces an immensive edge in battles. He is a leader, tyrant, world changer of a cosmic level....and the no.1 threat to a free universe.
