Comments: Oui, mon chere…

Had to give some love to Gambit since I have spent a lot of time in New Orleans the past couple of years and I love the flavor there, and when you think of Cajun characters, he's the first one to pop in most people's minds.

After skimming several Gambit builds, I had to use Kerian’s idea of empowerment for his blast, and I think it works great. It was cheap, gives the desired effect for all types of inanimate objects and I think really captures the essence of his ability more than just Kinetic Energy Control.

Of course, he is slightly uncapped in combat, counting on the fact that he will get in a lot of sneak attacks to make up for the difference, or using accurate attack or power attack to hit the caps.

Clean Up 2/24/08: I reworked Remy. He was one of my first builds and when I did it, I was barely able to work him into the 150pp limit that I wanted. Now, about 700 builds (I haven't posted all my originals yet, give me time) later, I was able to do it with no problem and I like the build a lot better. I originally really like the Empowerment, but it's just easier to go with the blast and not worry so much about the escalating ability of his blasts which can be handled with Extra and Extraordinary Effort if you need a really big bang.

Gambit gets an update. I wish they would put him back with the X-Men in main continuity, but the more I think about it, the more I think he's a Skrull...

I like I am going to like the Secret Invasion event a lot more than Civil War.

Great Brutale there, scc. And I like your Paragon, Josh.

The Brutale is good because I realize I have a real dearth of villains at J-Mart so after a few more hero tweaks, I am going to work on a big run of villains. Any additional bad guy/girl/thing submissions from the J-Mart team are welcome as well, of course.

I am also going to work on some more supporting characters/cameo appearance characters as well. I just realized that I haven't built Waller, Aunt May, and many, many others. And none of my Earth's have an American President, and I have someone in mind that everyone should like.

And no, it's not Chuck Norris, although he's coming soon. I think Cordell Walker would make a fine Secretary of Defense. :D

Comments: Pete is a surprisingly flexible brick. When I first started him, I thought I’d be lucky to hit 135pp, but the more I researched him, the more things I added in. The main thing I had forgotten about was his near immunity to magic, so I gave him that immunity, but I may have to repeal it, or alter it after a test. But seeing how he is Rasputin’s great-grandson, magic ability is in his genes so it makes sense.

Clean Up 2/24/08: Another X-Men clean up coming Colossus' way. Nothing too major, just some tweaks, but his formatting was bad and I wanted a better pic.

Peter gets an update as I go through some X-Men builds.

Thanks Thorp on the complement. I know Brutale is nothing special as villians go. I am just doing villians that are not well known plus I like Batman style villians. Next will be Lock-Up. I look forward to your run of villians. You always need villians.

Doesn't Colossus have vulnerability to magnetic attacks? Or did they get rid of that for whatever reason?

DVD Commentary:
A J-Mart exclusive from those of us over at Kerevision. Trust us - you'll never see -this- kind of power again.

Unfortunately, there is no better picture to truly illustrate how ridiculously epic the Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is. Let's put it this way: This is what you wanna watch to get the idea. TTGL is the red one. ;)

At one thousand three hundred thirty seven points [yes - Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is 1337], this might just be one of the most epic characters ever built [Editor's Note: It's apparently one of the five highest point-totals, outclassed by Mike5000us's Spectre, Phantom Strange, Phoenix, and Anti-Monitor...not that this is a comprehensive list of the most ridiculously powerful builds on the forum]. A strength of well over one thousand, Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is capable of chucking galaxies at its opponents, though we here at Kerevision aren't certain why you'd need to - between the Probability-Altering Missiles draining the opponent's toughness, the Tengen Toppa Giga Drill Breaker, and all the rest of the absolutely absurdly damaging powers it has, there's no reason one can even imagine that anyone should ever need to use external weaponry.

Seriously. All you need to know about Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is that it's the way you want to end a series. You looking for a continuity reboot for your campaign? Here it is.

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. A Kerevision exclusive.

Only at J-Mart.

EDIT: Top picture: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann's merger.

Bottom Picture: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann [right] and The Anti-Spiral [left] fighting on top of a galaxy.

Yep.

On a galaxy.

Eekkk..

If I saw it correctly, the bad guy took two galaxies, smashed them to gether and turned them into a weapon.

Now THAT is PL X, if I ever saw it.

You saw it right - he took two galaxies, mashed them, and then blasted TTGL with the force of the Big Bang.

PL X? I actually have it in my notes as:

Linked Ranged Sustained Cone Drain [Toughness]/Ranged Sustained Cone Penetrating Damage 25

250 PP, cuts through Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann like a hot knife through butter.

Colossus is no more effected by magnetic attacks than your normal human...the "organic metal" bit isn't magnetically effected...same with archangels metal wings when he had them.

Comments:
Really, is there any better choice for a the president of a world that I am in charge of than The Governator?!?! I mean, Chuck Norris was too obvious for any of you that have seen my posts here and on Wordmaker’s thread. And the current REAL candidates are well…not really worthy of my time to create, even though I do generally like the choices this year far better than the last two elections. But be that as it may, Arnold is my man.

What’s that you say? I person not born in America cannot be President? In my universe, yes they can. On MY Earth’s, it was changed two elections ago to allow Superman to run against Luthor (one of the few times Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne ever agreed on anything, both using a lot of their power to help push that change through). Even though he declined, the rule stayed on the books thanks to a couple of wise Republican House members who saw Arnold’s potential. After the way Governor Arnold handled the recovery of California after The Sinestro Corps War, The Infinite Secret War Storm and The Thorpacolypse, he was hotter than ever and in 2008, he was the first foreign born president elect in U.S. history.

By the way, the Thorpacoverse is currently in 2009; at least for now…

President Arnold was staunchly against the Superhuman Registration Act as Governor Arnold and has vowed to be “a proponent of superhumans and to help heal the wounds caused by the dissent in the superhero community caused by the SRA”. In addition, he has had a long distrust of Amanda Waller and as he is briefed on the activities of Checkmate and SHIELD, he has also vowed to keep a closer eye on them, much to the chagrin of Waller, Fury and others involved in American security.
