Description:
With her abilties, she can be most anyone. However her true form is virtually a female version of Nightcrawler, replete with tail. Her blue fur hugs her skin, her black hair hangs loosely and has a tuft of blonde in the front. Her most common alternate form is a sexy mercenary with headband and a tatto over her left eye much like Psylocke.

Design Notes
:arrow: Masquerade is my fanboy addition to the X-Men Mythos.

:arrow: I also managed to make a PL 10/ 150 point version, but if yo're making a fanboy character why not go all the way?

:arrow: The character was designed for a combined world that I was working on at one point, and Mask was part of a division of Weapon X. Her team consisted of six women subjected to the Weapon X process to varying degrees.

:arrow: I never named her father, assuming that he would be the same as Nightcrawler's if that was ever revealed (they are fraternal twins after all)

:arrow: Nothing difficult about Brava, she;s a brick through and through.

:arrow: She wasn't ever meant to be a clone of Marathon. She was just tall and strong...

:arrow: She doesn't die from the Morituri Effect so I thought it'd be fun instead of blowing up she gets the ability to inflict copious amounts of damage and toss around freight trains.

:arrow: Cheapest to build, and fastest to die in the series. He was around for about fifteen pages.

:arrow: Simple build, I always liked that he seemingly died Blackthorne's death. She felt that he gave her staying power, even though it was later said to be the fact that Aline was pregnant. Most tragic death in the series - especially because Blacthorne watched him die and was frozen by Hardcase's powers at the time...

:arrow: Cute power, reminds of the Legion of Substitute Heroes member Stone Boy. The only real challenge in this build is representing his ability to hardened items into viable weapons - for instance, glass, toothpicks and the like.

:arrow: I represented that last with the blast power and no save - not sure I like that part, but I still want to work within the containers. I will likely change that to Penetrating and add a variable descriptor to it.

:arrow: I hate Speedsters as a GM. Love to play them, but hate to be their GM...

:arrow: At least with Scaredycat, she's a little more than a Speedster. It's more of the fact that she's in an agitated state and can move forwad by channelling that agitation. As a result, she can also panic other creatures by causing agitation.

:arrow: As an aside, she was described as very religious and was a "Mystic." This is the reason for her ranks in Theology.

:arrow: Silencer's power was described as the ability to neutralize sound. If you've read the wiki or other entries on the net about the series, youll find that she somehow used her powers to stop the hearts of the so-called Monster Morituri (the 4th Generation).

:arrow: I've chosen to stick with sound nullifying abilities. If necessary, vibration control could be stunted of her array to stop a creature's heart (especially since she only does it once.)

:arrow: Once a gain a character that doesn't die from the Morituri Effect, so I went with an enhancement of her powers.

:arrow: I tweaked the ring in one minor way Instead of Blast, its a Perception Range blast. That's for cost on the build and because I thin that this particular character doesn't have the training/ combat experience of other GLs. However, a GL can blast the heck out of just about anything, hence the perception damage.

:arrow: Finally! A Morituri that explodes when they die from the Effect. Stereotypes have to come from somewhere, and although I still fail to see how she exploded from the ability to generate poison, Ruth did...

:arrow: I kind of like the power set. She gained vast knowledge (most of it instinctual) about toxins and the like, knowing their antidote or being able to synthesize it... I used a number of alt powers in her array to signfy what her toxins could do to an opponent.

:arrow: He never wants to be field leader, but the CO recognizes the man's potential (before the tunor of course) and makes the youn man the field leader of the squad for a time.

:arrow: Described as having the power to mow lawn's perfectly, Shear's power might be described as Blast but he has a range of 1 meter - just over three feet. I prefer it as a damage effect.

:arrow: His precise feat is demonstrated by his ability to slice an opponent's heart without damaging his chest and by the fact that he created perfect shards of glass to have Hardcase make into pointy little shuriken,,, It's subtle because while he gestures, he doesn't seem to have to.

:arrow: When Shear dies, I really get the impression that they wanted to stop using the Morituri Effect to kill characters. Shame, because that's what gave the series it's sense of drama.

:arrow: Shear dies after develloping a brain tumor. It drives him crazy and he's essentially put down by a teammate.

:arrow: She has a broader telepathic ability than her father, due to the tutelage of Saturn Girl.

:arrow: Her suit is patterend from Superman Blue (actually, it copies it...). However she got her name because the first time she was forced to intervene and reveal her abilities, she happened to be wearing a Superman t-shirt...

:arrow: It's in her backstory that she does not hide from her heritage, that she merely prefers to operate on her own merits. Indeed, her application to the Legion involved the appearance of a woman who used her mother's sobriquet and Donna Troy's Wonder Girl uniform and claimed to be a true Amazon...

:arrow: Scanner survives the series, and as such should probably be tweaked a little to reflect that. However, I'm going to leave it as is, giving him accsess to greater power in the form of the Morituri Effect.

:arrow: I envision his powers actually buring out his eyes and other sensory organs, leaving his brain to literally cook. Gruesome, but no worse than watching Wildcard do his best audition for the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark...

:arrow: To introduce the cure to a Morituri Campaign, players should spend Power Points to buy off the weakness, or after the intro of Revenge, be created without them. Up to the GM if the points from Slow Fade can be recuped or are lost.... (See Burn, Lifter and Revenge to that effect)

:arrow: When Scanner first appears, he is thought to have super senses - enabling him to count ships and satellites in orbit while standing on the ground and hear someone reaching for a switch. These are later upgraded to ESP even though it's a long time before he realizes this.

:arrow: Scanner's Datalink represents a bio-chip that he has. It's like modem in his brain, giving him access to the equivalent of the internet and a computer directly in his mind. This device is used for the sentient AI Will to contact Scanner in the guise of deceased Morituri Will Deguchi. His Well-Informed, Eidetic Memory and Assessment feats play off this link.

:arrow: For a build such as this, the Datalink power really only requirses the ability to interface with something or someone with Internet access. A phone line, computer or the like is sufficient, so the range really isn't important.

:arrow: An original character I created for a second generation Thundercats game. He creeped me out when I created him and creeps me out today.

Background The Hyena clan is - was - the racial memory and preserver of the history and knowledge of the Thunderans. When they walked with greater pride and were a welcome part of society, the Hyena were the ones responsible for keeping the litany of those that had passed on and for the rituals and rites surrounding the dead.

In time, those roles were perceived more as keepers of the dead and the Hyenas were viewed with less and less favor. Their posture began to reflect the work that they did and slowly the race developed a hunched back.

Finally, the Hyena Clan became ostracized and were forced to live from the scraps of the tables of the Thunderans. They became the cullers of the weak, the hunters of exiles and things-that-went-bump-in-the-night.

When New Thundera was founded, most Thunderans chose to simply ‘forget’ the Hyena-clan. However, the Hyena-clan is not something that could pass from their collective conscious. With time, the racial memory of the Thunderans caused the spontaneous birth of a member of the Hyena-clan. The child grew virtually on the edge of society. He was mocked for his appearance. He was feared on a subconscious level by most that he encountered and for what he represented, even if most could no longer identify what or who he was.

His ancestral memory and strong connection to the collective subconscious of Thundera has resulted in a peculiar ability; and the last of the Hyenas often finds himself able to be in more than one place at a time.

Snapjaw understood that he was different and wanted to be accepted into society, to be able to embrace the dreams that he had. Dreams where he was a mighty warrior bearing the proud symbol of the Thundercats and welcomed among their ranks…

A pipe-dream at best, but one thing that nobody could ever take from him.

Although he doesn’t know it, perhaps one of the very few Thundercats – or Thunderans for that matter – who would not spit on him is in fact Lady Leona. She remembers the old tales, and what the hyena-clan once was. The fact that one has returned is a good omen, regardless of what others may think.
