The Quick and Easy Answer? I could have given him 5 ranks in his skill true, but then im limited by power level. And with a enhanced ability, i can give him an extra boost that isn't limited to 11 ranks. Its a matter of flavor in this case, cause your either categorizing it has Skill or Innate ability. And i felt giving him a high wisdom wasn't the answer for this particular character. And its meant to work in tandem with his Danger Sense Ability. Cause honestly lets face it, Jayne is not a very observant person. He is more instinct.

Good insight. I don't know if I would have thought it through like that but with the explanation it makes a lot of sense. Jayne is not always the most observant unless it comes down to saving his own hide, which is what he's good at.

Background:
Isaw Jiso grew up in Japan, under very simple circumstances. His family were nothing more than simple rustic farmers, who one night housed a mysterious old man called Yuki Oki. The master of the mysterious phoenix clan. However he was not alone, his enemies from the clan Jade Cobra assailed him there with his family. When his farm took fire, he lost sight of his family. But in the chaos he watched his parents cut down trying to save him. In that desperation, he was surrounded by the flames of the phoenix and walked through the fires unarmed it seemed. And with the old man's help they fled their house, tears swelling in his eyes as he saw the fires consuming the last of his home and the bodies of his parents. Master Oki, took him in, and they fled to america. He saw within him the potential to be a great Phoenix Clan Ninja and over time their turst grew between each other, and Oki shared with him all the secrets that he had to offer. He attended the best schools he could, and went to college learning art and history of his own culture. Jiso though is still on a mission, and wants to find his sister and avenge himself against the jade cobra clan (something he is almost obsessed with doing). During the day, he is an Art Consultant for the Kirby Museum of Fine Arts, specifically in Japanese culture. At night he dons a black outfit, with a flaming sash around his waist, and the symbol of the Phoenix on the front. He carries a collapsable staff at times, when he needs a weapon.

This is a character inspired from an old character i had in the Legends of the Five Rings Game, a phoenix shugenja. However i wanted to put the character into this game, and a super hero setting. And this is what i came up with.

Yeah well i looked back at it, and thought to myself. I could have explained it alot better... Point in Case, Jayne does not have a high wisdom, nor a high notice skill. The Solution? An Enhanced Ability (limited to a skill bonus). I've seen such a thing done in the Paragons Book, to gain a benefit from Precognition and such without having a high skill or high ability score.

At least for once i made a character, that went under power point costs. I found ways of filling him out with some appropriate feats, and a few odd ability scores cause you never know when they will come in handy (just to get him up to his total PL 6). I have always liked this movie though, and decided it was high time to whip up the detective here. Always a fan of Will Smith. I can't wait to see him in the movie "Hancock" look it up, if you haven't heard about it.

Simon gets an update, since i decided that i will not use the Variable Power unless its a rather structured and limited grouping, i decided dynamic array's are the way to go. It's alot more work, but in the end i suppose it will be worth it. With some freed up points, i gave him 2 ranks in Attack Specialist (Imagerial Weapons).

Simon can create portals to take other people with him into the Imageria, his skill is much greater than he lets on. Though he cannot reach the Outer depths. Mostly he uses this to bring others to a portion of the Imageria, where he can take them into his "game world. "

Simon's ability to manipulate the Imageria, is much greater than others who come to the the Imagerial realms. Since anyone has this power for free while in the Imageria, i simply added on Power Feats, and the Extra. But made it necessary for a character to take a special feat called Imagerial Manipulator, to take advantage of this benefit. He can create very detailed items, give them motion , or even suspend them in mid air with this power. Or use them as shields to block others, allowing selective access to certain people. This is a great way for him to create dungeons to put people through.
Imagerial Control 14 [Array; Power Feats: Affects Dimensional, Quick Change 2, Dynamic, 5 Dynamic Alternate Powers; Flaws: Limited (Can only use 4 ranks on the material plane, the other 10 ranks can only be used within the Imageria)] (38pp)
Simon can manipulate the Imagerial Energies in the Material plane to a minor degree, as he is starting to find out by drawing imagerial forces into the real world to alter reality. But in the Imagerial Plane his abilities are much more widely used and variable in effect. Just remember no affect can be greater than Rank 9.

Story/Background:
Simon perhaps always had been a natural dreamer, he envisioned his world from the his earliest days in youth. Of course it was only a matter of time, before he took that passion and love. And brought it to a new level, the table of fantasy roleplaying games. Then one day, while he was working on his next adventure for his gaming group it happened. He broke up, a sudden revelation. In the next instance he found himself stepping through a portal into the very world he had imagined since his youngest days as a child. Amazed at this revelation, he found out he could control this world of his. Fashion it into what ever he wanted to, so he took on the persona of Deimos. His ultimate vision of himself in his own world, the most powerful wizard imaginable. Granted his ideas about the Imageria, are slightly flawed and colored by his time with roleplaying games. So he has no idea about the dangers that are invovled. But with his revelation one by one, he introduced the rest of his friends to his "world" and soon everyone has started gaming in the Imageria as their characters! This is all about the excitement and thrills of it, for everyone involved. He even has a crush on his only female player, Kelly Stable who plays Glamora the elven Wizard. Its only a matter of time, before a situation happens upon he and his group that even he can't handle. But it seems even in the outside world, he has a very limited ability to use his " powers".

Additional Notes: Kelly Stable, could be another paragon. Who might manipulate Simons' power for her own use. Another interesting side note, if Simon were to die in the Imageria. This raises an interesting question, should he come back from the dead. He might just be considered a native of the Imageria now.

Almagamation: Rogue and Juggernaut

Instead of having a big bully for a step brother, professor X had a step sister named marie. Who used spiteful words, more than strength to push charles around. Her acid tongue and words, sometimes hurt alot more than her fists do. But she is also a coniving manipulator, and cold hearted woman. Now think of rogue, with the ability to sap the energy from her opponents or even those who touch her. Then is able to pummel them into submission, however unlike the juggernaut she can take the armor off if she wanted to. However she can also make the armor's affects, such as growth and density turn off and look like clothing if she wishes too. Sorry i have no picture, so your just going to have to imagine rogue, in green mystical armor.

This is a pretty crazy cool character, JD! I love that she looks like she could technically exist along with Rogue/Juggernaut but has a combination of their classical abilities. Great job with the minor nitpick - Constitution 12/16 (+4)

Cool stuff joshau =^_^=m

Whats interesting about that almagam. Was that for a short period of time in My marvel universe. Rogue and Juggy had a thing going on. She was in desparate need of physical contact, and Juggy was stillt rying to reform. He was the only person that she could kiss without sending him into a coma, and he needed a friend. together the 2 of them had a quite a few adventures and even ran into the PCs on a couple of occasions.

Wow talk about an odd couple.
