:arrow: Terror-Rex is designed to take the fight to the enemy. He likes to wade in and destroy things. He is NOT however, a stupid dinosaur. He is a cunning warrior and is well versed in tactics. He enjoys using his dino mode for it's psychological shock value.

:arrow: The character is based on a low-level fire-manipulator... The suit
is designed to augment his powers.

He has a "Scorched Earth" setting that is a lvl 10 Blast with an area effect. He has a standard fireball and also can fatigue a target with extreme heat. The suit allows him to focus his flames into a flaming sword that he can use as a melee weapon.

:arrow: "Gump" is an example of an arrival gone bad. When Starscream declared that Megatron had been found, numerous Decepticons made the journey to Earth to bolster the Decepticon forces. "Gump" arrived in the standard re-entry configuration, but upon impact, he was damaged. He struck a power station which caused a massive electrical surge that damaged his cerebral cortex. This damage lowered his processing ability and the over-all effect is the appearance of a mentally disabled person... such as Forrest Gump.
:arrow: The second side-effect of the damage was that once he emerged from the crater, his "enviromental assimulation" software glitched and scanned the first thing that he looked at. This happened to be a porta-potty.

:arrow: This incarnation of the Horseman has been upgraded with the latest equipment that could be built into the suit.

:arrow: The first change was in the weapons system. A new weapon was added to the suit which allowed for a "lighter" response to threats. A light anti-personnel weapon was installed for instances where the threat does not pose a major threat and the large, more powerful weapons are not needed. The weapon is designed to lock onto multiple targets and take out multiple foes. This system has been nick-named the Goon-sweeper, by other heroes.

:arrow: Another change is the Environmental Adaptation and Configuration System. (E.A.C.S.). This is an advanced system of interconnected forcefields, heat synchs and another assorted systems. An on-board computer constantly scans the surrounding envioment and adjusts the suit to protect it and it's wearer from their surroundings.
In game it confers Adapation (15 pts)

:arrow: The suit's exterior appearance was stream-lined, with the removal of a number of the exterior nodes. The suit is given a sleeker look while still remaining largly the same. There is no real significance to the suit other than the style. Jason has been able to make a name for himself with the suit and he does not want to change it too much.

:arrow: The last major upgrade was the addition of a more advanced on-board computer. Dubbed "Ichabod" (Obvious reasons why). The computer is capable of handling the minor suit functions, allowing Jason to focus more on the tasks at hand.
Jason is currently working on a way to allow "Ichabod" to assume control of the suit if he were to become incapacitated. This is still in the works...

:arrow: This character is the Air Force's attempt to take the next step in the future of combat. This is an air superiority combat suit, designed for high-speed / high maneuverability combat in the air.

:arrow: During Highschool, Katrina Sholler was told that she could be an actress or a model due to her looks, but her dreams were elsewhere. Katrina joined the Air Force right after high school graduation. She immediately showed a knack for piloting aircraft and quickly moved up and was eventually trained to become a pilot... her ultimate dream.
She found herself living her dream, or so she thought. One afternoon after a training flight, she was approached by a couple of "government guys" along with a high ranking Air Force officer. They explained that she had been selected to audition for a new aerial combat system. Katrina jumped at the thought of working on a new jet. She did not realize that the system was in fact a power-armor suit. She quickly mastered the systems and found that the freedom of flying in the suit FAR outreached any experience in a jet. Katrina quickly became the primary test pilot. The suit's development was maintained as ultra-top-secret until one fateful day that would change and Katrina's life would change forever.

A struggle between two super-humans was spreading out, endangering the innocent civilians around them. Katrina was in the area on a test flight when a report came in of an emergency at a local school. The building had been badly damaged and children were trapped. Katrina realized that she was close and so she flew in and rescued the some students. A local TV news station was able to get blurry pictures of the new suit. The public's reaction to the new suited hero was extremely positive and the Air Force viewed it as an opportunity to use this publicity to move them ahead. The suit was dubbed the Corsair and became the new spokeperson for the US Air Force. A suit born in secrecy ended up becoming the poster-child for the Air Force. Katrina was reprimanded for revealing the suit but then given the chance to pilot the suit full-time.

:arrow: Corsair is given the freedom to operate in the interest of the people. The Air Force sees this is a double-positive. Everytime Corsair helps out, it is positive publicity for the Air Force and also, when Corsair confronts the myriad of threats it is simply field-testing for the suit. The Air Force sees this as free testing.

In our game universe, Ghost Tiger is the latest incarnation of a former hero. This is not Buzz Ericsson started out as an engineer. One day he woke up and decided that somebody had to stand up against the criminals and evil-doers that were slowly eroding away at society. He donned an experimental battle suit and called himself CYCLONE.

He once stated, "Powers have ruined everything. Give a criminal laser vision and super-strength and no one's accountable to anyone, anymore. The government throws a super-terrorist in prison and stands by impotently when his sick buddies bust him out within a month. Buzz started out trying to help people but his ideas eventually came into conflict with his fellow META-4 team members. After a particularly violent incident, Cyclone was asked to step down as a member of META-4. His "blast'em all and let the coroner sort out the pieces" approach directly challenged the work trying to be done by the Meta-4 team.
Buzz went in hiding and started to worked on making a new suit. Soon, a new battle-suit user emerged on the scene, going by the name of Ghost Tiger.
No longer restricted by his fellow META-4 members, Buzz could do what he feels he has to do.. to "protect" the innocent. Few know of the real identity of Ghost Tiger and those who do now feel that Buzz is as much a criminal thug as the people he once wanted to stop.

THE WORLD OF THE HORSEMAN SAGA

I have been posting a series of characters under the label of the Horseman Saga. I was looking over them and thought that I should probably explain how each character is set in relation to the other.

:arrow: The Horseman is Jason Crane, a millionaire engineer that owns / runs a research-engineering company. They design and work on prototypes for advanced tech. The tragedy of Sept. 11th moved Jason to take action and using advanced tech, he started to fight crime. Jason is driven to constantly work on the Horseman armor and so he upgrades it frequently.
Jason eventually moved to Freedom City and opened an office there. The Horseman also moved to Freedom City.

:arrow: Corsair is piloted by Katrina Sholler, a battle suit-wearing Air Force pilot. She became involved with the Horseman Saga, when Corsair was dispatched to help protect a foreign dignitary who was coming to Freedom City as part of a tour of America. The Horseman found that he was the target of an assassination plot. Horseman engaged a target that was attempting to eliminate the dignitary. Corsair misinterupted the action and engaged the Horseman. The two of them engaged each other in a rather wild battle. At the end, they staggered out of the rubble and left each other with respect.
Jason started to research the Corsair and find out who it was that he fought.

:arrow: James R. Moley is a man with a dark history and a thirst for power. He is a direct blood descendant of Jacques de Moley who was the Grand Master of the Knights Templar. James believes himself to be the reincarnation of Jacques de Moley. His goal is to reclaim the power and prestigue that his ancestor once knew. The Moley family is cursed due to a bloody transgression against the church. At night, he changes into a gargoyle-like creature. He was initially operating in New York City and slowly formed a criminal underground network. This network drew the attention of Taurus of the Labyrinth. [The Labyrinth from Freedom City Sourcebook is a major player in our game world]
Taurus struck a deal and now James heads the New York node of the Labyrinth.
The Horseman and the "Gargoyle" clashed several times while he was still in New York City.

:arrow: Ghost Tiger is the latest incarnation of Buzz Ericsson, who started his career as the hero called Cyclone. Indirectly, Buzz and Jason worked together when designing their own power armors. The designs of the Cyclone armor were used as the ground work for the Horseman armor. When Buzz started operating outside of the law as the Ghost Tiger, the Horseman took it upon himself to track him down in an attempt to take him into custody. The Horseman felt that Cyclone was a mentor of sorts. They met and fought each other. Their suits were an equal for each other and they fought to an almost stand-still, with Ghost Tiger taking a significant beating. Ghost Tiger managed to slip away and now has sworn to destroy the Horseman. Ghost Tiger is currently working on an upgrade for his suit, to combat the new Horseman. An arms race of sorts has begun and Buzz is determined to win it.

This is a design that I came up with after a long chat with a friend.

It was dubbed the Sky Stable. This is a long distance aircraft that is designed to be a mobile base of operations. The aircraft is a B-2 Stealth bomber on steroids. It is overall larger with extra engines. The inside of the aircraft was is limited in space, but includes a cockpit, a small living area and a smaller repair bay for the Horseman suit. The Sky Stable can either land at a location or the Horseman could simply deploy out of the aircraft while in flight. This could also serve as a base of operations for a small team.

I wanted to base the design on an actual aircraft so I did a little searching and found this design. I thought that the Horseman would have a stealth aircraft. Just seems to fit.

:arrow: First of all... I found this picture on line and I liked the look. I was recently told that it is possibly a Champions character... If so.. I can only plead ignorance.

:arrow: I just watched the Iron Man movie...well... 'nuff said.

:arrow: Ankylosaur is a major mover in the Mercenary-for-higher circle. The pilot, Jennifer Carter is a former CEO of Lakee Arms out of the United Kingdom. (Lakee- pronounced lake). Jennifer was known as the "Lady" of the Lake, but those who knew her called her the "Bitch" of the Lake. She had a thirst for power that frightened many who worked with her. She eventually was out-manuevered by another up-and-coming executive. She was "let go" and her office cleaned out in record time.

Jennifer had a trump card though. She had made a copy of files that were being used to design a new battle suit. A mysterious virus then corrupted all of the files for the designs. This set Lakee Arms back back months, if not years.

Using personal funds that she had saved up over the years, she bank-rolled the construction of the Ankylosaur Battle Suit. Her first test of the suit came when she attacked the corporate offices of Lakee Arms. A "stray" missle volley reduced her former office to rumble, along with her replacement. She attacked several other offices to try to shift suspicion away from her. It was not long however, before the authoritites figured it out. Jennifer fled to the United States to hide out and to continue using her suit for the gaining of wealth.

:arrow: Ankylosaur is really designed to wade in and smash things. The weapons include an autocannon, a kinetic pulse weapon, rocket launchers, a flamethrower, a tail spike and kinetic field generator plates on the hands to create powerful energy fields to smash the target(s) in hand-to-hand combat.
