A thought: all of our backgrounds have us doing our own thing (which is fine), but are we planning on already being an established group/team of some kind, or will it be founded somewhere along the line?

I'd suggest something like we are all acquaintances or perhaps something like the LXG?

I've been around the block, so it would be quite natural for me to know any significant players in mystic circles. What we need is a reason why we'd form a team or group.

Maybe we got together to resolve some issue of common interest, and then took it from there? Maybe ... someone from the Holt family was kidnapped by a Mage or supernatural creature ... and brought to whichever city the Paxmans live in (or vice versa) ... Holts assumed Paxmans were responsible ... O'Brien was on hand to mediate the matter and identify the common enemy ... all 3 took the latter down together ... too far-fetched?

Hmm... I'm not enthusiastic. Tying you guys together before now may be a bit too much. It's certainly not essential. What do the rest of you think?

Possibly a few ties, meetings in the past, and then a common event to kick off the IC. I can work in an introduction from either way. I'll go with the groups views here.

And we've got an application by PM. No more details yet though. (at least not for you)

I am fine with the common event tying us together for the beginning of our story. That way, we can forge some ties between characters that make sense, and meet other characters as we go. Also, it's best not to tie us all together when we're not 100% on what the final roster will be.

Ok, I'm working on the NPCs with the CoH character creater. Any priorities? One you want me to start with?

RavenMaestro wrote:Got ya. A note though, they're a one of a kind. No other known users of Psychic power in the world. And not all mages and such things will have heard of them.

How wide spread did you see them as? Cousins all over the place, or just a group in a perticular country or even city?

Cousins, uncles, aunts, great aunts, odd family members popping up all over the place, around the world. The way they're identified is when they do use their psychic powers, their eyes turn that weird, unearthly shade of blue and their hair turns white. No one knows why.

Another good place to find good images is Deviant art. I'll getcha some images for my NPC's when I get a chance. Lol. It's a hobby. :)
Ooooh. Updated with Links to pics.

Any starting place/city of operations is good for me.

Hay! I don't wanna use stock art. :P  Thanks, but let me indulge in my futility in making CoH pics. I like using the editor, and I am going to use these guys as NPCs after all. I'll need to get to know them.

Besides, everyone being done in the same style helps, and that's not something you get off Deviant art.

And I've got some completed. Quite a lot in fact. Expect an update tomorrow with them.

I know. But....
I like the pics I picked out for my NPC's ^_^

Hee, I added some supernatural bad-guys, something a young teen might have faced as well as a few scarier ones. As an adult, she's had her share of scarier encounters throughout the years, but the Jigsaw man would probably be the one that gives her the most sleepless nights.

Oh well. Both can't hurt. :)

Here are the one's I've got so far. Have a look. To keep it interesting, I haven't named any of them. Guesses? Lets just say, of the three applications with NPCs so far, everyone's got at least one.

And if you have guessed.... feedback?

Great stuff! It's cool to be able to have a common visual for the NPCs.

Here are my guesses:

1 Victor Holt

2 Carmen Amador

3 Kevin Holt (white hair)

4 Not sure!

5 Pressure

6 Yang Qing-quan

7 Orthon

8 Jasmine Holt (white hair)

Prety good guesses. And I'm glad you like 'em. :)

I'm not saying your guesses are accurate, but they're prety good.

I'll wait a bit to give out the answers. I'm afraid you're the one with only one NPC Cotren (though you guessed that one wrong). It's hard to do mages in this (Few civilian clothes) but I'll do what I can.

I haven't read through the others' NPCs yet ... as for mine, I'd say either 1 or 7 could be Orthon, 9 could conceivably be Elizabeth Bathory, while the others don't really resemble any of them. The thing is that they're all dressed like they came out of Street Fighter or something ... I envision:

Carmen Amador, as looking something like the eponymous character from the opera of the same name - dark skin, long beautiful hair, vibrant eyes ...

Yang Qing-quan, as looking like a Chinese sage, i.e. loose-fitting robes, long white beard, the works

The Bishop, as looking like a Bishop

Orthon, as looking pretty much monstrously inhuman

Elizabeth Bathory, as looking like an elegant rich person, expensively dressed, very pale

I'm looking forward to this game starting.
