and so, summer movie mania draws to a close. i've ht almost all the big blockbusters, and a few films from the past, before succumbing to seasonal burnout.

however, i'm a bit more rested, so i'll be launching into my next theme, a theme time honoredand recognized by even Green Ronin itself

I of course, refer to Hero high

this means tha from now to october, i'll be trying to focus on the younger side of the superhuman lifestyle. In addition, i'll be trying to put out more original (and semi-original) charcters to try and fill out my own hypothetical school for gifted youngsters, of which both Gigeress and the Countessa Von Doom are enrolled

:arrow: Crowdsurfer is everyone's freind, and gets along with almost everyone. as such, so long as they word it right, crowdsurfer could side with any socially active clique at the school for a particular caper.

hrm, almost second page...not good

okay, builds are proceeding at a snail's pace, so in the mean time, here are some notes about the school/setting itself

The Kurtzberg Academy

Influences: Teenagers From Outer Space, GURPS Illuminati University, Revolutionary girl utena, Ninja High school, and Total Drama Island

In the long, forgotten epochs of cosmic prehistory, the Academy was originally nothing less than a doom fortress, home to an achetypal evil overlord who sought to spread their empire across all reality. naturaly, they were defeated by a plucky band of rag-tag (and probably overlevelled) heroic rebels, and the fortress faded into dimensional history from anywhere between 10 to 10,000 years, when it was rebuilt and converted into a hyperlympic class stadium/arena complex with attatched hotel/microcity and shopping plaza for a series of pan dimensional fighting tournaments (originally on pay per view, now on DVD.)

eventually, hte ratings for the tournaments collapsed, and the complex passed through a sucession of owners, such as a reality television network and the original owner between their prophessed return and subsequent thwarting by the next generation of heroes. it was also the site of an intercompany crossover with epic battles raging across multiple full page spreads. eventually, the dust settled, the radioactive haze cycled through it's half life and rampaging killbots met their kill quotas.

and when nobody was looking, the once unassailible doom fortress had become a prestigious academy for young ladies. a finishing school for potential godesses, goddess like superheriones, or just heroic mortals. either way, young ladies would learn the skills they'd need for the life ahead and to master their abilities.

the academy resisted the need for integration for several months/years/seconds, until events forced the school to open their doors to male students. the official reason is that the school board is just raking in the cash from doubling the tuition recieved, and has Absolutely Nothing to do with the rumors and M3T00b footage of one graduating class being composed of crossdressing bishies, nor the illicit yaoi doujin market that circulated in the semesters leading up to the supposed events.

today, the Kurtberg academy services a wide variety of students, as the school's settled into a sort of dimensional crossroads, allowing it to exist in multiple universes simultaneously. the school is as mentioned, fully co-ed, although on account of it's history, girls still outnumber the boys.

the school itself:

the Kurtzberg academy is a private, pandimensional boarding school that serves from early grades through to high school (rumors persist that post secondary students are ransferred to IOU or that the academy IS IOU).
