Yeah thats the one I tried to give you. I think the underscore messes it up.

I like that out of all of Sin City only Miho, Marv, and Kevin seem yo be more than human. Dwight is definately on the edge of being superhuman as well. But even Miho is more like an assasin or martial arts master than a pure super heroine. Keven on the other hand...

1. Linguist, is a feat that allows the character to learn other languages. Notes:
I have had this character concept for awhile now, and finally decided to see it down on paper with the medieval rules I had come up with. Technically she's a PL 4 character with trade offs, though her fire protection and her fire attack break these situations. So i up'd her PL to 6, to help satisfy caps. Nothing wrong with building a character under point cost.
1. This character uses the Detailed Social Class system I created with my Fantasy Rules.
2. Athletics (a new skill im developing).
3. She will often use Extra Effort to give herself more fine tuned controlled with her fire generation, such as being able to start a fire. Or Make a cone based attack. This character also assumes I’m using my alternate Fatigue Rules.
4. Skills are 1 pp for every 5 skill points.
5. You can find a compiled list of my Fantasy Rules here: http://mnm-fantasyrules.wikispaces.com/

I could do a build, based off of the information on Wikipedia rather easily. The problem is, i have no prior experience with the character. I have seen the movie (though that was a long time ago), and have no knowledge of the Comic Series. The build would be bare bones, and would lack any familiarity with the actual character itself. So i don't feel qualified, in stating this character.

So here's what i have been thinking of for this Athletic Skill, i've been working on. I know what i got is probably too much, so what are your thoughts? This skill came about, because i thought lumping Jumping with Acrobatics just didn't fit. And i wanted a skill to simulate physical sports, such as football.

ATHLETICS (STR)
Athletics (a new skill im developing) is a skill that takes over for some aspects of the Acrobatics skill, and is based on Strength. This skill is meant to factor in raw bursts of physical power and speed, from physical sports (such as football, basket ball, base ball, soccer, etc.. ). This can also include Gymnastics.
Jumping: It is used for Jumping checks now.
Avoiding Overrun & Throws: You can also use this skill to avoid Trips and Throws, using this skill in place of Strength or Dexterity to resist.
Physical Adeptness: Make a DC 15 skill check, to gain a +2 bonus to climbing and swim checks.
Accelerated Movement A character can also use the skill to boost the movement rate of either their running, climbing, or swimming speed. Each point which exceeds the DC of 15 allows the character add 1' to their base movement rate, but this cannot exceed a total of 10' per movement phase. This would require two checks if you wanted to do a full out move.
Challenges
· “Resilience” A character can also use Athletics, to gain a bonus to their Fatigue recovery checks. By making a roll against a DC of 15. Success grants a +1 bonus to the next recovery test, for every 5 pts the character beats the DC by. (still pondering this one, and it assumes my variant fatigue rules)

This looks cool. I was thinking though that if you were going to introduce skill synergies with this skill, maybe add skill synergies to other skills as well, to make it more balanced?

When I read this, I was reminded of those X-Men comics I read where they were playing baseball or basketball against one another. I can see them using this skill when entering into such activities.

Yes exactly, this could be a potentially useful skill in and of itself. Which is why i need the opinions.

Made a few more changes to the Athletics skill usage. Let me know what you think.

I really like the Athletics skill, JD!

Another potential use might be for running, i.e., checks to move faster. I often struggled with the idea of characters who were faster or slower than others without using the Speed power.

That's where the Accelerated Movement Check comes in, it's already encorporated into the skill. It would allow character's to increase their movement rate by a total of 10 extra feet.

So that would be 80 feet on a full round movement, or 8 mph's (16 mph full out). Instead of the usual 6/12 mph for your average character.

Slower characters could encorporate a Action Drawback. Each point in this would reduce the speed by 5' per round, where at a the usual 5 pt drawback it would mean being a quadrapelegic. So a 1 pt drawback, would mean the character could move at 25 feet per move action. Or 5/10 mph's.
