Aliens.

OK. The first female child character person has left the show, having travelled to america with her dad, for his new job. She is replaced by an indian girl who takes her place. The series focuses more on Luke & Sara Jane.

We have had astronomy based episode, and some general alien fihgting, but not as good as last season. Hope this helps Kit 8)

The most recent two-part story was about Clyde's dad (who abandoned him years earlier) returning and getting his hands on an alien device that forces people to do what you tell them. I thought it did a pretty good job of dealing with the issue through the sci-fi element. (He uses the device to force Clyde to forget about his friends and then his mother in an attempt to win him over.)

The previous story about astrology working was kind of strange. The "science" of it was pretty tenuous, even by Who standards.

Also, the whole "everyone in the world being mind controlled by the villain" thing is getting a bit stale. It feels like we've seen people marching out of their houses like drones 3-4 times in the recent seasons of SJA and Doctor Who.

I'm still enjoying the show. If this had been on when I was a kid I would have been crazy about it.

A third series has been greenlit, is in pre-production and will begin filming soon. No word if Maria will return or if there will be another guest appearance by The Brig, but K-9 is coming back! A deal has been arranged for him to appear in the series. Early word is that six of twelve episodes will have him in them. At two episodes per story, that presumably means, he will appear in 3 stories.

Now, I'm just waiting for series two to air [and be released on DVD] in the US

Series 3 should begin in the UK soon, yes?
Anyone know when/where Series 2 will air in the US?
Or when Series 2 will be available on DVD in North America?
