The Croc Hunter
Nightwing rolls Investigate. He rolls a 20!
Nightwing flew through the crisp nighttime air, his head full of questions and answers, but none he needed. It was all a ploy, he thought, twisting his body in a reflexive cartwheel half flip. The Birds of Passage knew Daredevil and me where looking for them, so they decided to take us out and had Vega lead us on a wild goose chase, making it look like the Penguin. They probably paid Croc to play along, then to make sure we knew about their next meeting, the Birds had Sabertooth attack. Croc’s regenerative healing prevented any major injuries, while our rescue of him made it clear that we had been watching. Then it was all a simple case of laying out an attack. But they didn’t expect us to bring along friends, so the assassins weren’t prepared to take on four.
Nightwing swung up in an arc and catapulted over to a flap poll, taking hold of it and using his momentum to launch forward, landing atop a building. Even though Deadshot and Deadpool where winning, their boss didn’t want to take a chance, so he changed the plan, the young superhero mused. They had covered their tracks well; but there was one loose end left, and tonight, I’ll make him tell me the where they were keeping Kory
Nightwing makes a Stealth check, getting 27. Croc makes a reflexive Notice check, getting 19. Nightwing has a Surprise Round, and uses it to All-out/Power Attack 5 with his Shuriken. He gets 27 on attack (Including Range Modifier), while Croc gets 22 on Defense, and is hit by 5 for +2 Autofire damage. Because of the added damage from both Sneak and Power Attack, Nightwing’s Shuriken are able to get through Croc’s Impervious. Croc rolls his Toughness, and fails by 3 and is Bruised.
Killer Croc left the Birds of Paradise Lounge, grumbling as he walked to where he normally parked. Only his car wasn’t there. Swearing loudly, he remembered that it was still in the shop after that psycho ripped off his hood. Kicking a puddle, Jones started home on foot.
About halfway there, some bum came up to him, hand outstretched. Croc growled at him, sending the hobo scampering away.
“That wasn’t very nice,” a voice from above said. Croc looked up in time just as a flurry of shuriken rained down, cutting his face.

Round One:
Nightwing Quick Draws his escrima sticks and jumps down, using Acrobatics to avoid falling damage. He Power Attacks 3, hitting; Croc passes his Toughness
Killer Croc tries to Startle Nightwing as a move action, failing. He All-out/Power Attacks 2/4, missing.
“What the-?!” Croc shouted, wiping blood away. He saw a black streak fly down from a building and a flash of metal. An escrima stick bashed him on the neck, only to leave no mark.
“You!” Croc screamed, flexing his claws as he finally got a good look at his assailant. “You’re one of the Bat’s kids! Die!!” Croc lashed out, but Nightwing moved away, just as quick as his mentor.
Round Two:
Nightwing uses Bluff to Feint as a move action, barely making it. He Power Attacks 4, hitting. Croc takes a second Bruised.
Croc attacks again, rolling a 20! Nightwing rolls 3 on Toughness and uses a Hero Point to re-roll, getting 17 for a total of 23. He takes a level of Bruised and Injured, and now has 4 Hero Points.
“Where can I find the Birds of Passage?!” Nightwing demanded, stepping low. He brought his right hand up halfway in a trick move before his left escrima stick flew out from above and clipped Croc’s shoulder.
“Don’t know what you’re talking about, brat!” Waylon hissed, slashing Nightwing on the chest.
Round Three:
Nightwing All-out/Power Attacks 5, hitting. Croc passes his Toughness. Nightwing tries Acrobatic Bluffing as a move action, easily beating Croc and uses a Hero Point to Surge and All-out/Power Attacks 5 again. This time, Croc fails his Toughness by 6 and is Bruised a third time, as well as Stunned. Nightwing has 3 Hero Points.
Croc’s Stunned and unable to go.
“Have it you’re way,” Nightwing said, slapping Croc’s knee. Jones, however, didn’t seem to feel any pain. Leaping up and landing behind the reptilian crook, Nightwing spun around and smashed a stick against Croc’s neck bone, with a satisfying snap.
Round Four:
Nightwing Power Attacks 5, and Croc gets 16 total on Toughness, failing by 8. Waylon takes a 4th Bruised and is Stunned again.
Jones GM-Fiats to overcome his Stunned condition. He activates Rage and goes for Nightwing, missing badly. Nightwing now has 4 Hero Points.
Nightwing powered on for all it was worth, striking Jones’s leg and attack a kneecap.
Croc, however, was able to see though the pain and attacked, roaring like a monster. However, Croc’s anger blinded him, and his fists went wild.
Round Five:
Nightwing Acrobatic Bluffs as a move action, succeeding. He Power Attacks 5, and Crock fails his Toughness by 16 and is Unconscious.
“I don’t have time for this,” Nightwing said, sliding under Croc’s arms. He rose up in an upward strike with such force that his escrima stick shattered as it broke Waylon’s jaw. Croc was knocked out before hitting the ground.
“Finally,” Nightwing said. He looked at his broken escrima stick for a moment before tossing it in a garbage can. Walking over to his felled foe, Nightwing glared down. This monster would tell him where Kory was being held, one way or another.
Aftermath:
Killer Croc: 4 Bruised, Unconscious
Nightwing: 1 Bruised, 1 Injured, 4 Hero Points
Finally, a definite victory for the heroes! Nightwing ruled the battle, and put Croc down! What’s more, if Dick wanted to be cruel, he could have just thrown in some sleep gas or flash bangs during his Surprise Round and really mess with Jones. Without a doubt, this was Nightwing’s win. Croc may have caused Nightwing to spend two Hero Point, but considering that Dick’s still got 4, that’s not saying much.
So now Nightwing has a stool pidgin. All he’s got to do is persuade Croc to talk. But will he be able too, and more importantly, just how much does Croc know? Muhahaha!

So Electra is also a member of The Birds of Passage? I am eager to hear what will happen next.
And they want her blood! 
Are they going to run tests and attempt to make an army of Alien-powered super soldiers, or is Mr. Boss Man just a vampire? 
I doubt the second option, and the first isn’t too likely either, but it will be interesting to find out.
