Wow, thank you. I couldn't remember the name of that old cartoon. Your Ulysses build fixed me up. Gonna order the DVD when I get home.

Ok, now, lets pick some brains.

There was an old cartoon, possibly Hanna Barbera, about an adventurous group of people, that for the life of me, I can't remember the name of. In the ONE episode I saw, they fought a "race" of robots that always traveled in pairs, as they were positive and negative, and they had a REALLY big battery in the middle of the city that broadcast power to them. To defeat the robots, they made sticky spears with sheets of an insulating material hanging from them, and threw them between the robots. They also damaged the main battery and forced a surrender.

Yes, I know this is as obscure as finding your Big Mac wrapped in a copy of the Declaration of Independance, but hey, where's a better place to ask?

Unfortunately, I don't know the gimmick. :cry:

The only other thing I remember is they had these weird blasters they called "Blazers" and they were held like a horizontal closed fist.

I know, with the information I have available, this is like trying to find the single blue sand grain on Arrakis.

It was a cool show. I caught it after the opening, and left before the credits. It reminded me of Johnny Quest, as there was a kid there (though, HB did put kids in most of their shows).

:arrow: Exclusive to the battle Angel Ova, Grewcica, is an abbreviated version of Alita's first foe, being a psychoic, endorphin-addicted gladiator cyborg gone rabid, as opposed to being a bodyjacking parasite with most of the same issues and a stolen gladiator chassis.

:arrow: at any rate, Grewcica is a foe suited to most dystopian/future or Iron Age settings either as is, a tricked out cyberganger, or the semi-loyal attack dog/bodyguard for mad scientists and other cerebral threats. transplanted to freedom city, he's almost certainly a part of the Circus Maximus

:arrow: Grewcica's main attack, the grind cutters, is also where prospective GM's can focus their customization. the attack itself is that Grewcica's right fingers shoot out as razor edged tentacles, which fillet anything in their path. I chose an autofire blast to simulate how the cutters can 'walk' across multiple targets (and because it was the simplest means that fit with G's brutish mentality), but an equally valid method would be to use a mix of additional limbs and elongation tied to a strike power, freeing up points to upgrade grewcica's defenses or combat feats
