 This is the singer of the song which became famous as part of the now ubiquitous "Rick Roll" internet prank.

 Note: Rick is sometimes accompanied by an agile bartender. If you choose to include him, I recommend a Minion with ranks in Acrobatics, Profession (Bartender), Perform (Dance) and the Distract (Acrobatics) feat [house-rule].

 4/16/2009: I reformatted the sheet so that it matches with the rest of my builds and chose a new image for Rick.

-->Edit 2: I added Sense Motive ranks.

Now that's a build I'd never thought I'd see. Maybe his complication should be Infamy instead of fame

Only +13 total for Perform? FOR SHAME.

Funny how even the Macy's Parade thing got in on it, by having him pop out of a random float and singing.

Does this mean we just got "Rick Rolled" on the Think Tank???

You should give him the ability to teleport and place himself into various locations..

The heros open a door that they believe leads to the secret lair.... instead...

Rick Astley jumps out and starts to sing....

Well.... its just an idea..

Um...a +13 is a DARNED good roll. COnsidering Astley is a skilled performer, but NOT one of the mega-star bazillionaire been-around-for-20-years-and-still-making-records types, I think a +13 is just fine.

See, that's where I try (and I know I'm not always great at it) to put a difference between Perform [Singing] and Profession [Singer].

In this case - he's really good (occassionally becoming amazingly good, but still a way away from unearthly good), but isn't able to make much money from his singing.
Which is probably about right for one (to two or three) hit wonders. Good, and if they do enough and/or at the right time, they'll have one that rockets up to become incredibly powerful. Yet when it comes to reliably producing music that the population will buy, they can't quite do it.

The other side would be the ones that make bazillions over 20+ years and still are releasing records (of whatever type they choose) - yet really aren't that good when they have to rely on just singing. Who would be good examples of this, I'll leave to your imaginations - I prefer to be closer to the higher Perform (ignoring their profession skills).

GAAH! Rick Rolled! I never even saw it coming.

He needs ranks in the Startle and Sneak Attack feats.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

How would you stat his alleged credentials?

Knowledge: The Rules
Immunity: [Giving you you up]? Diehard?
A really good grapple check?

Admittedly, I could have done a funner build of Astley complete with full fledged Powers. However, I just felt like getting a close "real world" build out. If anyone else wants to stat him though, i'd love to see your interpretation :).

Anyways, I gave him Ultimate Skill [Perform (Singing)] to represent his biggest hit "Never Gonna Give You Up".

He should also have Connected (Superman's Pal).

Just look at him! It's Jimmy Olsen, I tell you! IT'S JIMMY!

Rick Astley just looks exactly like Jimmy Olsen to me. I imagine Jimmy in my head and bam, it's Rick Astley.

I've never read a Superman comic with Mr. Olsen in it. Do you have a comparison picture?
